  1. Scott Moore not having the greatest inning. A run across the board without the need of a hit so far. Even though the Crew is having a bad year at least we aren't the Astros. Not only do they suck but they get to a much tougher division next year. Good luck with that.
  2. Olympics is just entertaining because we get to watch stuff that we just don't see very often; a nice change of pace. I have been watching a lot of the obscure sports but unfortunately I dont get NBC Sports Network so I miss out on some of it. I have really enjoyed archery and I feel a bit guilty that I have liked gymnastics despite being a grown man. Maroney on the vault was just ridiculously awesome. Looking forward to track and field starting in the next couple of days. That result in the womens fencing tournament is a damn shame; I liken it to the USA/Russian BBALL debacle from a number of years ago. Clock "malfunctions" but they let play go on despite time obviously running out. Felt bad for the Korean.
  3. Upton still intrigues the hell out of me though; down year or not. Control him for 3 more years. An order of Braun, Aram, Upton would be pretty imposing for 2013 and 2014. I am still skeptical and I would want some prospects along with it but the more I think about it the less opposed I would be to taking on Upton. His contract isn't that bad
  4. MLBTraderumors says that ARI is not discussing Garza with the Cubs and have been after starting pitching not OF help; so perhaps they are talking with Crew but about Gallardo rather than Hart?
  5. ARI just pulled Patrick Corbin from his AAA start and are said to be working on something "big" for a starting pitcher. Maybe Gallardo could be involved somehow? Probably a long shot
  6. We are going to find out pretty quickly would we could get for Hart; Pence is on his way to SF. The return should be pretty comparable for a guy like Hart; although I think Hart might have a little more value (Probably moreso as a RF than 1B)
  7. I was going to ask the same questions. Would Detroit have any interest in Hart or Ramirez and what could/would they offer for them. I doubt Castellanos would be in play for either of them. You would probably have to offer Aram/Hart + a couple good prospects and even then i doubt a deal could be worked out. Castellanos has to be darn near untouchable.
  8. I guess the issue with college level pitchers falling back in Year #1 does put me a little at ease regarding Jungmann and Bradley; I guess the Arnett disaster is still weighing heavily on me. I will believe it when I see it in 2013 I suppose. They both should repeat High A to start the year. I find it virtually impossible to make a good Top 10 list because I feel like I leave out too many guys. I could make a really solid Top 20 list though.
  9. Forget Upton I would probably trade Gallardo and Hart straight up for Bauer & Skaggs. Control both of them for 6 years and the Crew could have serious money to spend this offseason on darn near anything they wanted. Not to mention they would also have a huge amount of trade chips. This is never going to happen and even though the Dbacks would control Gallardo for 2.5 years and Hart 1.5 years it still would be dumb to trade either Bauer or Skaggs.
  10. I don't think anyone suggested trading Fiers. Fiers has been good for 10 starts; I am not willing to call him our best pitcher at this point and I am pretty confident 2013 will be a disaster if you are counting on Fiers to be our best pitcher.
  11. I am calling bull on this. Catching is not an area of need for MIL and I would highly doubt Melvin is considering trading either Lucroy or Maldonado right now. Perhaps he has been getting some calls and at least wanted to check in on replacement Catchers just in case he needed one.
  12. That would be an amazing trade for sure and I would do it in a heartbeat. I am sure Melvin would strongly consider it but it would take some cajones to trade your best remaining pitcher. It would be quite the challenge to fill out the 2013 rotation with talent that would be competitive.
  13. You just know that the Rangers are now going to drastically overpay for an inferior pitcher sometime today out of desperation.
  14. Not a very good start for Pena; we should probably give him a mulligan for the first start after the trade
  15. Two weeks may be pushing it but a September call up would be nice; gives me something to look forward to at least
  16. He probably just made the quote up to further the agenda that Grienke is a "lock" not to come back to MIL.
  17. I don't understand why so many people are saying Segura needs to be moved off of SS. By most accounts he appears to be average there correct? There has been nothing saying the guy is a butcher out there.
  18. Someone would have to pay me to take on that contract. Giving up any kind of good prospect would be idiotic. If Texas would rather give up Olt and pay Lee $24 Million a year than give up Olt for Grienke than they are a bunch of morons. Like has been said; Lee is trending downward.
  19. The minimum deal we would have to offer Marcum is around $12 Million right? There is no way he would turn that down to take an incentive laden deal anywhere else. At this point I don't think Melvin would dare risk that but I am sure he would open to bringing him back at a much lower price. At this point Marcum could be a big time value sign in the offseason assuming he can get healthy again.
  20. Ehh, another retread. I can't wait until September when we have a chance to see some other guys
  21. Him being with Boras doesn't keep MIL from resigning him. Its not like the guy is Prince Fielder and would be a Top 5 FA prize in the offseason. Boras knows the guy isn't a superstar. I am not saying we should resign him but I don't think Boras is going to prevent it. I don't think it would be fair to compare Gomez to higher profile Boras clients.
  22. Nevermind; Soccer and BBall are 751 & 751 on DirecTv. Wish I would have known that sooner
  23. Are all of those available on DirecTV? I haven't run across those anywhere
  24. Unless for some reason he actually has figured it out. If thats the case then you have an elite CF on your hands with all the tools with the exception of OBP. Yeah he probably won't keep this up but if you decide to trade him you could end up looking foolish if he finally has turned the preverbial corner. He is not that expensive might as well see what you have in the guy in a lost season.
  25. I am surpised that they didn't fire Marcus Hanel. This is the very definition of a scapegoat move; and it obviously puts Kranitz on notice. I don't think he makes it to spring training next year.
