  1. What are all the channels the Olympics are on? NBC MSNBC CNBC NBC Sports Network Am I missing any; unfurtunately my package with DirecTV does not include NBC Sports.
  2. Yeah it really sucks to be Wieber right now. Its not like she can be pissed at herself for a horrible performance or pissed at her teammates that beat her out. She did well enough that she was easily in the top 24 but some stupid arbitrary rule kept her out. This is the equivalent of the MLB every team needs an All Star rule except this is the freakin Olympics. For a lot of gilrs this will be there only shot. I was fascinated by archery this past weekend. The Mens Team competition was crazy; US lost on the last arrow
  3. Well Bradley didn't exactly give me the good start I was hoping for. Thank goodness we aren't necessarily relying on him; plenty of other SP prospects if he doesn't figure it out. Segura with a nice debut and Burgos continues to impress. The system is very interesting to watch right now
  4. It seemed like Thornburg wasn't tuned up to be a reliever and pitch more frequently. Good idea to send him to AAA and let him stretch back out again
  5. Really hoping for a turnaround for Bradley one of these days......
  6. Doug really seems concentrated on picking up power arms. I like to see that; at the bare minimum the future bullpen could use some flamethrowers.
  7. I don't think Parra is or should ever be tried as a starter again. MIL has enough other available options that they shouldn't have to be that desperate
  8. That whole Huntsville roster is crazy good; there are probably 10 guys that could get a call up this year or next.
  9. That package they offered up was really weak; they must not have wanted him that bad. You know DM went back to them after he got his final proposal from LAA and told them up the ante or he is going to LAA. They still didn't bite.
  10. I would almost prefer the play him at 2nd if he has gold glove potential there. But I understand the need at SS is greater
  11. Hellweg really isn't 7 feet tall is he, that author has to be exaggerating? Pretty exciting if the guy can sit at 99-101; although you would expect better K numbers. All three played in a pitchers park this year so perhaps Segura's numbers are deflated a bit and the pitchers a little inflated.
  12. If you can't trade Wolf you might as well just cut him August 1st. Guys like Peralta or Thornburg need a shot starting the last month or two
  13. I am excited for the Sunday game as well; he has been pitching much better of late
  14. Maybe a bullpen guy gets moved, probably Kottaras. Maybe Gomez; try to capitalize on his recent hot streak. I will be surprised if any significant player is dealt
  15. I keep expecting Fiers to just blow up; man this guy has been terrific. How awesome would it be if this guy is a diamond in the rough and can be a big contributor. Huge
  16. It really sounds like Helweg is the wild card here; scouts make it sound like he has crazy upside
  17. The leg injury last year explains the big drop in SS in 2011. Looks like he got off to a slow start in April and May this year but has really picked up the last 2 months
  18. I wonder what these three new prospects would add to our overall farm system ranking and where they would fit in the Power 50? All of these guys would have to be Top 15 in the system right with Segura atleast Top 3?
  19. Uhh, what? Escobar was 19th in 2009 and 12th in 2010. While I be damned; I had no idea Escobar was ever that high
  20. Segura blows Escobar away as the better prospect right? Escobar was no where near Top 50. No Odorizzi in the deal either; but we Zack for 2 years, Angels get him for 10 starts
  21. I think this is a pretty nice haul, SS of the future for 10 starts of Grienke. Well Done DM Well Done
  22. Segura would be very nice; interesting to see everyones take on the two AA pitchers once there names are aviailable
  23. Paul Konerko would be absurd. Why on earth would the White Sox do that and why would the Brewers want a 36 year old?
  24. I will be shocked if DM takes a package from CWS consisting off a bunch of those rookie pitchers if he really has a good prospect available to him from another club. And if the market for Grienke is crappy enough that no team will part with an actual good prospect; then just keep him and collect the comp pick.
  25. I was a little concerned with the pen due to the loss of Hawkins and Saito; but it was hardly a major concern for me. We had starters we thought would routinely go 6 or 7 and we had Krod and Axford to clean it up. Like with most teams I thought the middle relief was a little sketchy but not that bad.
