  1. Mark me down as another who enjoys FoxTrax on a permanent basis. If anyone from FSN is reading, keep it up.
  2. Oh no! Not the government! Guess I'll just have to use one of the other hundred or so websites that exist for steaming sports, buying knockoff jerseys, gambling, etc. The hackers are always one step ahead.
  3. After tonight's episode, I would like to strap Roenicke to a chair, "Clockwork Orange"-style, and force him to watch the eighth inning of the 2003 ALCS Game 7 on repeat.
  4. Is there an injury that hasn't been reported? Why do the Brewers need three shortstops?
  5. To quote the late Jack Buck: "I don't believe what I just saw!"
  6. That depends how you define "well". He's a bench player - I'm not expecting him to go out and make the All-Star team. You don't think a .758 is hitting well for a guy who rarely plays and carries low expectations? If he can replicate his Atlanta numbers, I'll be ecstatic.
  7. Oh, I agree....I don't patronize McDonald's very often either. But according to the article I read, this guy is 6'2" - 185lbs. and has low cholesterol. It's not like he's an obese guy who's going to be a drain on the health care system. I usually eat a turkey sandwich for lunch, he eats a Big Mac. Big whoop.
  8. That's a rather benign thing to be "bugged" by....
  9. I hate the Reds more every series we play them. I would compare it to the movie "Rounders". It seems like every time we build a lead on them that SHOULD stand up, they keep "hanging around" (as Teddy KGB would put it)...."all night they check, check, check" until eventually they put up a crooked number and win the game. Frustrates the hell out of me.
  10. If Kintzler goes down, I'm guessing the potential replacements are: Green James Dream Felice I know who I want to see. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Assuming I didn't miscount on Brewers website, 40-man roster has 1 spot open.
  11. I don't love the design of most 3930's, by any stretch. Especially the BP versions. But this one caught my eye. I like the blue M on the blue background. This is a hat that Rod Belding would wear when he was hitting on stewardesses. http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-8726050dt.jpg
  12. I bought a 39/30 from them recently (stretch fit). Don't think I'll ever buy a regular fitted hat from New Era again. Too much of a hassle, especially the crown issue.
  13. He's the only player on the roster who's actually made me scream at the television this season (getting thrown out at 3rd base in that game @ Houston when we needed a run and Braun was due next). Also, he gives away too many at-bats with his little "fake bunt" nonsense. Either swing away or bunt. Make a decision. I blame Roenicke and Sveum for even giving him the option.
  14. Never said it was all about good coaching, just refuting the idea that the players can do everything themselves without any help.
  15. It amazes me how many people marginalize good coaching. It's how you go from this... http://theburghblues.mlblogs.com/Jose%20Bautista%205-5-07.jpg ...to this http://www.bronxbombersbeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Jose-Bautista.jpg
  16. George Webb predicts that the Brewers will lose 12 in a row. If this happens, burgers cost 2x normal price.
  17. There are perks for being a frequent flyer? Who knew? I average about a flight every two months (out of my own pocket), which is probably more than 90% of the population but leaves me crawling at a snail's pace up each airline's loyalty program. I have a snowball's chance in hell of earning an upgrade. I'm lucky if they give me a full can of soda. So basically, they earn no loyalty from me. There are just some I like more than others. Southwest, Delta and Frontier have generally been OK. The legroom on my last United flight was laughable. US Airways? Never again if I have a choice.
  18. I take it you've never seen this Yankees fan's songs. They started going viral last year. Nothing tongue-in-cheek about it.
  19. Love Southwest. And everything theavrock wrote is accurate. The no change fees thing is clutch. Also, if you miss a flight for some reason, you keep the credit and can put it toward a future flight. Don't even have to call and talk to anyone - just plug in your purchase code on the website when you're buying a new ticket. Case in point: I bought my Rose Bowl flight before the Badgers were even locked in to the game. If they didn't make it, no big deal - would have just used the credit on a future flight without having to pay extra.
  20. Best comment so far: If I were them, I would have rhymed "Greinke" with "Thinky" and "Drinky" As in: If you ever even "Thinky" of doing something like this again, do society a favor and "Drinky" yourself a quart of bleach.
  21. Jesus...we're in the middle of a losing streak, and this is like adding insult to injury. Coo Coo Cal you are not, Keith.
  22. I'm not exactly surprised at McDowell's situation. He was, after all, a member of the 1986 Mets. Heck, David Cone exposed himself to a woman in the bullpen.
  23. Doesn't surprise me at all. Last night I was watching the game and after a 1-2-3 inning (I think the 6th?) they showed Marcum walking off the mound with an absolutely wretched look on his face. Couldn't figure out why his body language sucked after such a dominant inning, but illness would make sense.
  24. Should I feel bad for "liking" this story when it showed up on my Facebook news feed?
