  1. I had no idea that "Big", "Groundhog Day", and "It's A Wonderful Life" would count as Fantasy movies. Seems like a reach. I see Comedy, Comedy, and Drama. Three super awesome movies, but Fantasy? meh. I also don't think "Back to the Future" has any business being in Science Fiction. "Jerry Maguire" being in the Sports top 10 is embarassing ... all of their Sports choices are pretty much awful. Only one of the ten Westerns was made after 1971 ... yikes. "Pulp Fiction" as a top 10 Gangster flick? Ugh. Glad I wasn't way off with my "Schindler's List" thought in the Epic category -- #3, not bad. "Saving Private Ryan"? A pretty good movie, but top 10 Epic?
  2. "When it comes to shoes, there are usually three deciding factors: quality, price, and style. Some shoes are cheap and stylish, but poor quality, while others are stylish and durable, but expensive. Crocs usually go for $30-$60, which doesn't sound like much for a shoe, until you consider that what you're really paying for are melted pellets squirted into a cast-iron mold in some province in China. Crocs have the rare combination of being expensive, poor quality, and ugly. It's quite a feat for one shoe to suck this bad."
  3. Fielder, you slow piece of crap....
  4. I'll be there tonight.
  5. I think it was last year on this site where I first saw MMP called a pinball machine (repeated earlier in this thread) -- perfectly fitting. A ramp, a random pole, goofy dimensions, a choo choo train, bells, buzzers, flappers ... okay, no flappers.
  6. Sounds like a great idea. Schedule permitting, I'd love to be involved.
  7. I'd like to see Cinderella Man sneak into the Sports top ten. One of the top 3 or so sports movies I've ever seen. Million Dollar Baby will probably make it instead. I suppose Tombstone has no shot in the Western category, but I'm not sure performances get much better than Val Kilmer's in that film. Shouldn't Sci-Fi and Fantasy be one category? What a waste. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Maybe Big Fish could make the top ten in fantasy. With a loose-enough definition of Epic, could Schindler's List fit in there? Braveheart?
  8. Not already mentioned: http://bensbargains.net/ http://www.xpbargains.com/
  9. Yeah, unless I misunderstood, the water washed away a road (hwy A?) that separated the lake from the Wisconsin river. Dam fine, but lake drained through an unexpected breach. That's good news that the lake can be refilled so soon. How will they do that? The same people that come fill people's inground pools? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. False! Once a year in May my car club has an annual gathering at a resort on Lake Delton. Downright cheap lodging at a very nice place. Hard to imagine what the view is like there right now -- 3 or 4 weeks ago it there were beautiful sunsets over a picturesque lake. Maybe never again.... Very sad.
  11. So you're playing in a hitter's paradise, your starter somehow manages to go 6 brilliant innings before you need to roll the dice and go to the pen, the force is with you and you get a fantastic inning from a guy who's a bred starter, and you think it's a good idea to just give another guy a whirl? What is going on here?? How do you not just stop right there after Villy's inning, count your lucky stars that you picked the right guy for tonight, and let the train keep on a'rollin? Why the attempt to outsmart the obvious!?!?!?! UGH. That's our Yost.... http://images.yuku.com/image/bmp/5b515c4997d8bc2cead77a68d15f6cf7efe53cc.bmp http://images.yuku.com/image/bmp/60925834e4936d14b2425891075ed2070800070.bmp
  12. Yosted? Why did we pull Villy after 1 quick, dominant inning? The more relievers you throw out there in a game, the better the odds you'll find a guy who has an off night. GRRRR!!!!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif EDIT: ...or two guys that have an off night. Great. GET BENT, NED. And get away from my favorite team, idiot.
  13. Weeks BB, Weeks SB, Kapler RBI hit. Nice start!
  14. Sorry I missed out. I went out for a quick dinner with my sister and brother-in-law, got home around 7:00, and was about to head out to Dyer when I realized all my softball schtuff was sitting in my office at work. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  15. I could practice anytime after I pick my sister up from the airport. (Anytime now ... unless Mitchell blew away in the storm.)
  16. 2-4. Lose a game they should have one won, lose a game handedly, eek out a win, win handedly, get blown out, get shut out and lose 4-0 or 5-0. Not necessarily in that order. EDIT: Trouble with homophones.
  17. For the sake of my tax dollars, I sure hope they're not going to that extreme at the 140 milwaukee county parks we have! It's just softball!!!
  18. In. I fully expect the game to be on.
  19. I'm in. Btw, what's the time of our *next* game? When I checked threads last time looking for gametimes for team #2, I couldn't find them.
  20. And Hornsby played a bit of his career in the dead ball era, dragging down his total numbers a bit.
  21. I imagine Rogers Hornsby has to be part of the conversation.....
