  1. Yes. Just because someone isn't a superstar doesn't mean they belong in the minors. Lockridge is clearly a 4th OF type. He's hitting .267, he's not a black hole.
  2. Don't want to jinx it, but he could easily get into the 7th at this rate.
  3. Sanchez is not a minor leaguer. Lockridge is not a minor leaguer. Yes, when you have 3 of your best hitters on the IL it's going to be rough unless you're the Dodgers. That's just a fact of life. Sproat had a rough couple starts but he clearly is MLB caliber in what he's showing today.
  4. This is likely a fruitless debate, but you do understand that they're only spending a couple million this year, right? They didn't throw $50M in an escrow account for future Pratt expenses. Your point really doesn't hold water.
  5. Now Tigers lock up McGonigle for 8/150M. I'm sure Made is paying attention.
  6. I was going to say my first/only reference for Wisco in the real world was Wisconsin Lutheran, and sure enough they have a tweet out:
  7. It's a state connect vs city connect
  8. 3 BB for Monasterio. We deserve to lose this game.
  9. We're not paying a dude $50M this year. And what does "players need to be back playing" even mean?
  10. Yes, let's work around Monasterio again to get to Contreras.
  11. Maybe he didn't trust Mis's command and didn't want to get him ejected or punched. :) I'm just saying it didn't affect results, so I'm not going to get up in arms like Sanchez is the answer and William was scared to pitch him inside.
  12. His first AB was a K, he singled on a very low pitch on the 2nd (and there was an inside pitch that AB), and walked in his third when Mis couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Feels like there are more worthwhile things to complain about.
  13. I don't think the Brewers were playing 4-D chess, and we probably don't need to relitigate the whole Rule 5 thread over again, but they made a judgement (which was heavily criticized) not to protect him. Could've just been they liked other pitchers in the system more than him, or it was just a terrible gamble. Unlikely they were utterly convinced that he'd fail as an MLB pitcher. He largely was excellent last year, but maybe that was an aberration, or maybe he's just having a rough couple games and will bounce back.
  14. That's a shame. But also, a bummer for him and hope he comes back strong, for his sake.
  15. Tangential to pre-agreements, article about the state of international signings and potential for instituting a draft: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/48370191/mlb-2026-international-draft-cba-talks-labor-dominican-republic-fraud-abuse-steroids-broken-deals
  16. Hopefully in 2-4 weeks we don't have an update about needing TJ.
  17. I'm no fan of Boras, but he's not making owners give out contracts. If anything, I think his comments around the Pratt contract demonstrate that while he is going to give advice to his clients and may have his particular preferences, ultimately the client decides what they want to do.
  18. Best defensive performance of all time? https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/48400896/jo-adell-robs-mariners-three-homers-angels-1-0-win
