As someone commented before, it's funny that we all love the show, but every week there's people who hated it and people who loved it. I was a fan of this week.
Yeah, I'm hearing other sub-2.00 prices as you head south, like Kansas. Kentucky was in the 2.20's a few days ago, but I'm sure that's dropping. Hoorah!
If we don't work out a 2-year deal for Shouse I'm sure we'll at least offer arby. Hopefully someone signs Gagne before the deadline, it's not like it'll matter to that team anyway, just a sandwich for us.
"Maybe Billy saw the same things the players saw" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of management, and I fail to see how it proves anything about "shutting up and playing".
However, you could argue the Twins made a major mistake in trading Santana last year. They got a mediocre package, and would have been much better off having Santana pitch for them this year. Heck, they probably would've beaten the Sox by 3-5 games.
Pertinent info: "Monday is decision day. This trade is almost over. It's my understanding that the medicals are being reviewed and Cle is understandably having trouble choosing the PTBNL. I still believe it's the same guy I informed several weeks ago, so we'll see if I'm right by monday."
MVP Will win: Pujols and Morneau if Twins win, or Pedroia if not Should win: Pujols and Mauer or Sizemore Cy Young Will win: Lincecum and Lee Should win: Lincecum and Lee
The Brewers make the playoffs for the first time in 26 years, and I will be on a business trip in Seattle, meaning the games will be at 12 and 3. Go figure.
