    McClung's not going to be cut. You don't sign a SP for depth and then summarily cut another SP (candidate). Vargas was useless outside of the rotation, where McClung clearly is not. Apples and oranges.

    I also use TaxAct. Only $12 for me this year for Fed and State. I usually also put it into TurboTax as well, just to make sure that one of them isn't missing something. Still only a couple hours worth of work, even with the duplication. I would highly recommend against actually buying the software, you're almost never going to get the same deal as using online.

    Maybe it's just cuz we're not fans, but our party was pretty "meh" about it. Then again I wasn't sure where everyone who thought Prince was the best show ever was coming from either, so who knows. It's probably safe to say that if you're a fan, you're going to think it was awesome, otherwise 12 min. of someone you don't really care about isn't going to leave that much of an impression.

    If we have 10 years notice, I'm fairly confident that we'd figure it out, especially since we have the basic technology to deal with an asteroid anyway. If it were more immediate, as others have said there's no way you tell everyone, it would be bedlam.

    I'm not entirely a sentimental fool, but that said, unless she's still going to be glad in 20 years that you spent $4000 on a ring, spend much less and use the money on the honeymoon or house or whatever. The success of De Beers' advertising job 50 years ago is absolutely amazing.

    Yeah, I'm not sure why it should be required that owners sink their personal wealth into the team. As Logan said, an owner who spends nothing and pockets the profits is to be despised, but you have to work within your revenue stream, regardless of how much money you personally may have.

    Without saying too much, the ending redeemed the movie somewhat for me. As I'd seen mentioned elsewhere, the novice Hmong actors are positively painful, and Eastwood's growls in the beginning are almost laugh out loud funny.

    I guess this falls in the Carlos Lee, "You can't blame him for not leaving $50M on the table" category. Not that it's not still ridiculous that the Yankees have to overpay by that much, but I can't blame CC. Sigh. You'll be missed, big fella.
