  1. Yep, there were jerseys. $75 each, limit of two.
  2. Just and FYI, the Terrace Reserved, Terrace Box and Loge Outfield Box are all sold out in the weekend plan 9 pack.
  3. I bought the book purely for TTM mail cards. I thought it would be a fun hobby for my son and I.
  4. I'm bringing this thread back from the past because I thought it was a good spot to show off my 2nd attempt at Hank Aaron. I hope no one minds. My first Aaron was a pretty poor attempt, something I threw together one night. This was a much better result. I'm not 100% happy with some of the stripes and I'm not sold on the yellow socks, but I think it's close. The hardest part was actually the waistband. The original figure had a belt with loops that I had to cut out and sand down, then replace it with a smooth "elastic" band. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/ac4355621225926510c458700794477415f9046.jpg http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/ebe252512399c17e50403ab5e68050326aa16b5.jpg http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/69d253a16892517b5db090d56799ab0b714f4d4.jpg
  5. I bought my book from a memorabilia dealer.
  6. Each year a new book (well, catalog really) is published that lists every living MLB player - past and present - and their address. Although it sounds kind of stalker-ish, it's designed for autograph collectors.
  7. The last book I have has Cameron listed in the "charges TTM" section. I think. I'll look to make sure. Edit: Nope, you were right. I don't know why I thought that.
  8. Yeah, I'll second that. I received my item VERY quickly. Thank again!
  9. I assume it refers to the fact that Powell would move into the #1 spot with the Braves as opposed to being the #2 guy (behind Uecker) in Milwaukee.
  10. I've had this unopened can for almost 15 years. I understand it's rare due to the fact that it was pulled from the shelves within hours of it's debut (Pabst did not have the proper licensing permissions to use the Badgers name). Most of the cans you find now are empties but this one is unopened and full. Photos are below. It's a cool item for a Badgers fan. I'm open to any kind of trade offer (Brewers related), but I'd prefer an autographed baseball (any Brewer as long as the signature is not to faded). Thanks. I hope someone will enjoy this item. It's been floating around my office for years, but has spent the majority of it's life in my closet. Also, because it is beer I suppose it's best to limit this to traders of the legal age and older. And in case anyone gets any ideas about drinking this - it has not been cellared in any way & at times it's been stored in rather hot rooms so I'm guessing it might make you fairly sick if you tried to drink it today. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/770356ef1c799a3f166553ab067f4d5420a0903.jpg http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/0b825d11c09431c45a20d8d92629bcb2ee5369e.jpg
  11. For those interested, Harvey Wallbangers airs at 10am on January 10th on the MLB Network followed by a short documentary on Hank Aaron.
  12. For anyone who is interested on the rink location... http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/35d25da1fa9061615b002c5b171593f3f4781f5.jpg
  13. I had more requests then I had vouchers. I chose the first people who responded either here or through private message. If I get any more, I'll post them here. Thanks!
  14. Four of us attended the play off game where they handed these out. I don't really have a need to 4 DVD's so I thought I'd offer the extras up here. Free for my fellow BF.netters. First come first served. Thanks!
  15. I have a blue one, new in the box. I'll trade it for the '07 Snappers Prince Fielder bobble. PM me if your interested.
  16. Dikono, that is a great item. Very nice. I had that same pennant as a kid but it was lost somewhere along the line. I just bought a similar one last week for a modest price. It's not as nice as yours though. The "World Champs" pennants are obviously rare, but they do exist. I saw that same exact pennant on Wednesday. It was signed by a number of players and the seller wanted $225 for it. Beautiful, but I had to pass.
  17. I am looking to pick up the Brett Favre Mcfarlane figure shown below via trade. The figure can be in almost any condition and I do not care if it is in the box or loose. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/b3a1541b941a55003a52181b4b31a1792d4d15b.jpg I have the following to offer in trade... Milwaukee Brewers 5 home run inning poster Unopened Hank Aaron Atlanta Braves Mcfarlane Unopened Prince Fielder McFarlane 2008 Brewers DVD Vouchers Any Two or the above or any one of the following Brand new with tags Milwaukee Brewers winter jacket (retails $120+) A used 1GB ipod with cord and case If you have one and your looking for something else in trade let me know. Thanks!!
  18. The kids made out well. My oldest son got some baseball memorabilia (like father, like son), and Ipod, some Xbox games and other stuff. The youngest one got clothes and cars. The nephews got video games and Playstation. The in-laws got a GPS system for their van. I gave my brother my favorite gift, I wanted to keep it myself. It was a limited edition, autographed, matted & framed Warren Spahn portrait. I thought it was terrific and for the price, I had to get it. He reads this site so I can't say what I paid for it, but it was well less than the $200 list price. The lady friend got a couple of ipod radios for the bathroom & bedroom, some small furniture for the living room and bathroom and various personal gifts.
  19. Thanks Matt, that's it.
  20. Everyone in my family knows I like anything Brewers related, but it's my brother that usually finds the gems and points everyone in the right direction. Don't ask me how he found another bottle. (He has one as well that he bought a few years ago from, I believe, an estate sale.) I'll try to get photos up soon. We both spend a lot of time in shops & at the shows, making connections and looking for the next item to add to the collection. Even though I haven't spent as much time this year working on the collection as I used to, I still added some great items this year.
  21. Obviously there are plenty of great rings in all price ranges and it seems everyone's got their own idea's on the "perfect ring". The main thing to remember is to get something you know she will like. Remember she has to live with this forever and will be showing it to friends and strangers for years and years. You want to make sure she will feel proud to show it off. That said, your price range (3-4k) should net you a nice ring. The most important thing I can say though is: DO YOUR RESEARCH. Just like buying a car. Make sure you know what you looking for and that you understand what everything means. Know your cuts, know what she wants, know your four C's... As for what is an appropriate amount, I'm going to guess you get a wide variety of responses. Personally I spent $4,700 but I've seen great rings that cost much less and I've seen more expensive rings that look less impressive (and vice versa, of course). I guess the trick is to make every dollar count. Again, that's where the research comes in to play. I agree with the above posts about appraisals and insurance too. The idea of shooting for just under your benchmark sounds like a good idea as well. Good luck!
  22. Ipod Touch, beautiful. I love it. A cew cell phone, blackjack II. I needed a new phone badly A beautiful new watch. An engraved pen set / clock for my desk at work. And of course, I have to get some Brewers memorabilia.... A games used Geoff Jenkins bat A game used & signed Rob Deer bat A Game used Sixto Lexcano bat. A signed Ryan Braun spring training hat And my favorite piece, an unopened bottle of champagne from the 1982 ALCS. I've been looking for this for years.
  23. The only problem with that "fact" is that is is attributed to a mis quote. Sheets did not say that the Brewers could not invite themselves back into negotiations. What he said was that he could not invite himself back and that the Brewers had not shown an interest in talking about a new deal. The original quote is from June 23rd 2008 and a reporter asked him if he planned on testing the free agent market. His reply, "That's the direction I'm headed right now" Asked if he would like to remain in Milwaukee he said, "My mind is always open to anything but you can't invite yourself back. That's all I can say about it".
  24. Best I could do for you.... http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/aef159119911590bf455e1e15bd8a62483859c9.jpg
  25. Didn't you get Braun's bat from that game also?
