  1. I was going to put this on ebay, but thought I'd offer it here first. Last month I bought an Aspire One Netbook with XP for $250. It's in perfect working shape, not a single issue. It's probably less than 40 days old (I might even be able to find the receipt). It's as close to new as you can get. I've even got the original box in good shape. I'm not looking to make back the full $250, but I need some money and I thought that someone here might need a gift idea for Christmas. I'm thinking $175 or best offer. Just PM me. I can meet today in Brookfield or later this week in West Allis. Thanks!
  2. I called my brother about this yesterday. That's to bad. I'm sure the next show will be a little odd.
  3. I don't do any online gaming, so I might not be much help to you, but ..... I had 3mbps from ATT for years, then upgraged when we got Uverse. I watch movies online (via netflix or Hulu) and my son plays his xbox online at the same time and I've got no complaints.
  4. I'm at $78 for ATT Uverse, the HD service, HBO/HBO on demand and 6Mbps DSL. I was pleasantly surprised to find that ATT Uverse does carry FSN-WI full time (the first time I've ever had it). I had DirecTv for 12 years and loved the service, but at this price - locked for a year -, I couldn't pass Uverse up. There is NO MLB network, which is disappointing, and I don't see them adding it soon. Also, there is no AMC HD for some reason. I do pay $90 for 3 cell phones and I no longer have a land line. Also, one more thing about DirecTv. With only one exception, I never had a bad experience with DirecTv. Even calling to cancel the service, they were awesome. There was no pressure by the CSR to get me change my mind. She just asked why and said, "Ok, I hope you enjoy ATT but I'm going to send you an email with a number in it. If you change your mind anytime in the next 6 months, we'll turn you back on and waive all of the activation fees."
  5. I would ask for some better pictures before buying. There seems to be some discoloration around the decals (not color matched?). His other customs look good, but the Braun looks rushed.
  6. Just as a side note to anyone thinking of buying, Brian always ships out quickly and delivers as promised. Big thumbs up!
  7. Let me clarify my earlier point about not using credit cards. I'm not against using credit cards - responsibly. I just mean if you are in any kind of "troubling" debt, stop with the credit card use. Troubling being what ever that means to each persons individual situation. And since this thread was about getting out of debt as opposed to how to build credit history or improve your credit score, I think the point still stands. My debt was very heavy at one point, mainly due to credit card abuse. And I'll be the first to admit I was very irresponsible with my money and credit. We finally cut up the cards in 2007, if for nothing else just the psychological jolt it gave us and we set out on getting out of debt. That was two years ago. Now, everything we buy is cash out of pocket - otherwise we don't buy it. Since then we've been able to pay off two cars and we currently carry $0 in credit card debt. It does take a huge shift in attitude though. For a while, because we had to spend every cent we had on paying off bills and getting through that period, it was tough. But now, without the burden of all that debt, it's like I've doubled my salary. Yes, it's very important to have a good credit score and to have a strong credit history, but it's pretty pointless to worry about those two things if you are suffocating under a debt so large you won't be able to get a home loan anyway. I guess like all things in life, you need to find a balance.
  8. Lots of good advice here. I'll just add this. STOP using credit cards. I recently passed the 2 year mark in not using a credit card. I used to put everything on the card, as much for convenience as anything else. It was a terrible habit and I hope never to repeat those mistakes.
  9. Wow, nice photo. What are you looking for for the Prince / Braun photo. I'd be very interested.
  10. I'll take the wristbands and all 5 of the 8x10's (Riske, Gamel, Capuano, Kendall, Cameron) if their available. Is my math correct, $30? I'll PM you.
  11. Not only that, but it was not an "all fan giveaway". It was for the first x amount of kids 16 and under.
  12. I have that same exact system with one our our set ups. Works well, though I did replaced two of the speakers with ones I had from another system.
  13. I'm certain that that is the driving force behind this, much the way they "recast" the voice actors on the Simpsons back in 1998. My only concern is that I've heard that the budget for the new seasons for Comedy Central was already significantly less than what it was for FOX (and even what it was for the four "movies" that they made).
  14. Saw this online this morning.... "Today bad news hit the internet when it was learned that some of the core voices from the original series would not be returning to their roles. A casting notice went out to replace actors DiMaggio, LaMarche, Billy West and Katey Sagal. Entertainment Weekly posted a statement issued by Fox, which confirms that it was in fact, a money thing that prevented them from bringing back Billy West, Katey Segal, John DiMaggio, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeil: "We love the Futurama voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands. While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on. We are confident that we will find terrific new performers to give voice to Matt and David's brilliantly subversive characters." .
  15. A good dj runs a party, whether is be a house party, a club or where ever. Like Brian said, it's more than playing the songs off of a playlist, it's creating a perfect seamless, beat matched mix. Some dj's incorporate scratches, juggles and other "tricks" into the mix which is part of the skill set involved. Some dj's will even put a playlist together based on the melodic structures and keys of a song. Congrats on the gig Brian! I've been DJ'ing (strictly as a hobby) for 14 years now. I still love house music but I've had a number of radio mix show guest appearances over the past two years that have pushed me towards a more mainstream audience. I did a few months of mixes for a Hip Hop station in New England last year. That started as just a standard "street mix" on Friday nights and it evolved into a full fledged house and club music weekend show that ended with a 2 hour New Years Eve mix. Then the station switched formats and I was out. But it was fun while it lasted.
  16. Great Idea. I forgot about that one.

A vintage pennant from one of the 1980's playoff teams would be very nice as well. You can never really go wrong with an 8x10 (16x20) either because you can always mat and frame it and then you have a really nice display piece. (In the interest of full disclosure, the photo of the bottle is my brothers, but I have an identical bottle- just didn't have a photo handy)
  18. Sorry if this was addressed already..... but as an FYI to those going to the game today, a number of the Jason Kendall bobbles were damaged in the flood last week. That means fewer bobbles to hand out and a greater chance of missing out and getting a voucher. Just a heads up to get there early if you must get a bobble today and can't wait.
  19. That's interesting. I contacted ebay a few hours ago and let them know that the jersey did not match the description. Good to see the system works.
  20. 1973 Milwaukee Brewers Road jersey... http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/f591531991145d063d32f0db3dec644ccd951fd.jpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/092358771bc69397149051df004c36da5c2f68f.jpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/cee255110a98411358b0f84b7d38345438a36f1.jpg
  21. Value is of course subjective, but I think $15 is a great price for that. Congrats, it's a cool piece.
