  1. Done. Lock it up.
  2. I really don't understand this Prince hate. He was emotional because they just won a huge game/series and advanced to the NLCS. Could some part of it also have been that his time in Milwaukee is coming to an end? Sure. And so what if it is. It isn't as simple as saying take the $100 million to stay. The guy will probably get at least $40 million more from somebody. Anybody who says they would leave that much money on the table is nuts (I would say 99.9% of people would not turn down that much). I could see maybe taking a $10 million cut but not $40 million. As for signing with the Cards/Cubs, yeah it would suck to see Prince leave for a hated rival. But this is his life and his job. He will most likely take the best offer. Most players don't see rivalries or grudges when it comes to signing with teams because doing so would just eliminate potential employers. Damon went from the Red Sox to Yankees. Clemens did the same. Boggs did the same. As a fan it would suck but I won't boo him because of it. I won't cheer him either but I couldn't boo him because of how great he was during his time here (even if his defense sucked). We're about to start the NLCS and there's a thread talking crap about Prince because he will probably leave and a thread saying even though Yuni had a good NLDS, his season still sucked. Sure both of those statements are true (Prince will probably leave and Yuni had a terrible season) but can we just stop with the negativity, at least to enjoy the day after we just advanced to the NLCS. And this is all coming from a pessimist.
  3. DVR'ed MLB Network's coverage of the Division Series. Dan Plesac was going crazy. He is such a homer. I love it. As far as the Crew vs. the Cards, there is bad blood between both teams. Don't think for a moment that the Cards have forgotten about this Tweet from T-Plush. http://twitter.com/#!/TheRealTPlush/status/111638678148882432 Yeah that Morgan comment is the main thing that scares me about this series. Because if we lose, that will be thrown in our face big time and we won't hear the end of it.
  4. http://vvoice.vo.llnwd.net/e14//5766427.92.jpg East St. Louis does have this going for it.
  5. Hart HairstonBraunFielderGreenLucroyYuniMorganYo I would've went with that today with how bad Weeks/Morgan have been. If you really don't want to throw Green in, then move Lucroy to 5 and put Weeks 6.

  7. Roof will be closed because MLB wants the atmosphere/environment to be as close as it was to the previous 4 games. I can understand closing it when it's 55 and sunny but 80 and sunny? Really?
  8. That's probably the dumbest thing I ever heard (read). I understand being nervous but how can you, as a fan who posts on here, not even watch the game? I understand DVRing to watch "live" later on but to just fast forward through the whole thing and expect a loss? Yeah they could lose but at this point, the Brewers are favorites. A good fan would at least give them a chance.
  9. I don't really put a lot into career numbers vs. teams since the players on those teams change from year to year. And McGehee is 0-3 against Collmenter, 0-7 against Kennedy, 2-6 against Saunders. However, he is 5-5 against Hudson. As for getting "hot" against ARI earlier this year, he went 3-8 against them at home in July and 4-16 in ARI in July. And considering how well Hairston has played, I wouldn't have started McGehee any game except for maybe against Hudson but that would've been game 2 and I wouldn't have put him in over Weeks then. After seeing the past 4 games, I would play Hairston at 2B and Green at 3B tomorrow.
  10. That pretty much solidifies a Weeks benching for me. Hairston at 2B, Green at 3B. Hell, even McGehee at this point. Just pathetic baseball these past 2 days.
  11. Other than Rickie's huge blast last week, he hasn't really done much since coming back. If there wasn't a lefty tonight, I would've started Green and Hairston. I would definitely do that now Friday.
  12. Is he back wrestling? That guy hasn't been given a push in about 12 years(or so it seems), yet they keep bringing him back. Good for him. I love that guy. He never really disappeared, he was always just a mid-carder. Now they are pushing him hard, turning him into a Vader-esque unstoppable beast.
  13. Alright I don't like the pitch tracker but that first pitch was almost perfectly down the middle according to it and called a ball.
  14. Venting is fine but saying stuff like Marcum is a terrible pitcher and is the next Suppan, as well as already calling a loss tomorrow is just dumb.
  15. Are you judging from the actual ball or the fox trax thing? I think the tracking thing makes them look worse than they actually are.
  16. Guys have to be more patient and stop swinging at the first pitch. Chances are with this zone, the pitch will be called a ball.
  17. I don't think Marcum throwing the glove was childish. It's not like he slammed it down on the ground and threw a tantrum. He knew it was gone and was upset with himself. Don't think think it's a big deal.
  18. Man everyone is acting like Marcum is the worst pitcher ever tonight. He's definitely not Suppan. The strike zone was incredibly small tonight, which obviously lead to some frustration. Then there was a missed call or two which probably added to it. Then Marcum has been making pretty good pitches for the most part and the DBacks just got some good swings on them and some hits fell. There's a whole game to play tomorrow still. Yeah they could lose that game but don't act like it's already a given.
  19. Wow, Roenicke actually IBB. It's gonna force Marcum to throw strikes and Goldschmidt has some power.
  20. It doesn't seem like Marcum is making terrible pitches, the DBacks are just getting lucky/putting good swings on the ball.
  21. Really? There's 4+ innings left tonight plus a whole game tomorrow.
  22. Umm he hit .282/.351/.469 with 18 HR and 86 RBI. As a catcher. Just venting, sorry. However, a team with him in the 4 hole??? He would probably hit 5th on a lot of teams.
