  1. This strike zone is tiny. Since the Brewers aren't very patient, I think it will benefit the DBacks more.
  2. LOL at announcers calling Yuni for not even moving on that play.
  3. In a nutshell, I see it as this. More rules, less civility. More expensive, less fun. If that's 'fan friendly' to you, great. I'll be staying home.Do you really have to complain in every thread now? This is like the 3rd different one I've seen it in. We get it, you hate the policies at MP and would rather stay home. Stay home then and let everyone else enjoy it.
  4. That. Touche. But the real question is whether this recent infusion of 'lifelong Brewer fans' will remain to pay $30 for parking after the next 95 loss season.Obviously not since parking won't cost $30 with a 95 loss team since that team wouldn't make the playoffs (unless the division is really bad). I think people will gladly pay extra to park in the playoffs. When the regular season begins again next year, it will be back in the $10 range. I don't get what all the fuss is about.

  6. Because of the past 2 games? He took a team that nobody really expected to do much and turned them into division winners.
  7. I was 5'7, 175 in high school. Almost ten years later, I started the year close to 290. I'm now down to 230. I "played" football all 4 years in high school and baseball for 2 years but after starting college, I hardly ever worked out and was drinking like a typical college student. I started this year just riding the exercise bike a few days a week and lifting. I also substituted some things in my diet and cut my drinking down to about one night a week. I haven't really done anything high intensity, I've just watched my caloric intake and rode the bike or did the treadmill. As for food, I found that little things like switching out normal bread for 100 calorie thins or Sara Lee 45 calorie slices and replacing normal cheese with reduced fat really help. I've also gone to 70 calorie low-carb tortillas instead of the usual almost 200 calorie ones and use egg beaters instead of normal eggs. Little substitutions like this really help. I also almost never eat out anymore (maybe twice a month) so I can control everything that I eat. I actually haven't had much of a problem losing weight and wish I would've attempted to a lot earlier (although it probably helps that I'm both out of school and unemployed so I have the time to work out and make all my meals at home). My ultimate goal is lose at least another 50 pounds, if not 60 but that might take another year. By the end of this year, I hope to lose another 20 to make it an even 80 lost on the year.
  8. As bad as McGehee has been, I still don't think I'd keep Wilson over him. I would think Gomez/Morgan would be used to PR over Wilson. Even Counsell could be used. I think the potential to use McGehee as a "power" bat off the bench is better than keeping Wilson as a PR.
  9. Looks like the final spot is down to Wilson vs. Green. I don't think Wilson brings anything to the table, other than the fact that he can play SS over Green. But with Yuni/Counsell/Hairston, I think SS is more than covered.
  10. I don't really care that it conflicts with the Packer game since it's only the 4th game and it's against Denver. I was more worried about the Badger game. That being said, I plan on selling my ticket to Sunday's game and just watching both games at a bar or something.
  11. I was more talking about having to choose between the football game and baseball game if they were both at the same time. Since football is generally a more popular sport than baseball and the Brewers/DBacks aren't national darlings, I think most would choose the football game. Personally, I would obviously choose the baseball game. I think if they weren't taking that game into consideration, times would've been announced already. TBS already came out and said they were trying not to conflict with it.
  12. Not to sidetrack this thread too much, but I guess I'm old since I almost always sign my emails (most people that send me emails do the same). Possibly the only time I don't is if I'm involved in a string of emails with the same person. I usually do if it's for professional reasons but not casual. I'm talking between friends or family and yeah, usually going back and forth. So when you get multiple one sentence emails with the name signed at the bottom. I was just reminded of it cuz I saw like 5 or 6 signed James recently, including two back-to-back within 6 minutes of each other. Sorry, just an internet pet peeve of mine. Not that I matter or anything.
  13. Again though, it's a national "issue"...they're looking at the big picture and what works out best with where are all four games are scheduled. I'd bet they're not losing much sleep overa couple million wisconsin viewers. James I would think the national audience would choose 2 top 8 football teams in Nebraska's Big 10 debut over Brewers/DBacks as well, since the national media doesn't really care much for these teams. So I would think yes, they are taking the football game into account. On a side note, I don't care if you keep doing it or not but signing your name at the bottom of every post reminds me of old people who sign their names at the end of texts/emails.
  14. Is that always assumed?I think in this case yes. I could be wrong though.
  15. Runner would have been at 3rd with 1 out if no error. Would've scored on groundout so still an earned run.
  16. If they were gonna do that, he probably would've been pulled after 5 when he was under 70 pitches.
  17. Just because it didn't happen there doesn't mean Roenicke has never called for it. He obviously calls for it sometimes but not every time Morgan lays one down in the 1st inning. Fine I will correct my statement to say when Morgan does it that is on his own sometimes I have no problem if Morgan wants to bunt for a hit every once in awhile. The problem is he tries it just about every game and almost always bunts when Hart reaches to start. In those situations, he should be swinging away and I think Roenicke should be telling him to swing away more often than not and only lay one down if 3B is back.
  18. Just because it didn't happen there doesn't mean Roenicke has never called for it.
  19. With 67 pitches, I think Greinke could pitch again Sunday but they probably wouldn't want Greinke pitching on short rest twice in a row. It would also mean Marcum goes over a week without pitching.
  20. I'd would take Greinke out now and have the bullpen close it out. Then have him pitch again Sunday.
  21. I wouldn't say anything is set in stone yet. If they get out to a big enough early lead, I think he could be pulled after 2-3 innings. But if it's close, I would imagine he goes 5-6.Based on what was reported a few days ago, I'd be very surprised if this is a normal start for Greinke. "Greinke will probably pitch an inning or two, then Roenicke said he wants to get an inning for most of his relief corps to tune them up for the playoffs." -TH That was when they thought today wouldn't matter. I wouldn't say it's a normal start (100+ pitches) but I could see 5-6 innings if it's needed (then again Greinke 5-6 innings could easily be 100 pitches for Greinke).
  22. I wouldn't say anything is set in stone yet. If they get out to a big enough early lead, I think he could be pulled after 2-3 innings. But if it's close, I would imagine he goes 5-6.
  23. Roenicke should not be considered for Manager of the Year. The talent was there to win and I think they've done so despite a lot of mistakes from him. I think Gibson should win it easily since the DBacks weren't expected to be this good and he's won with a lot of "no-name" players.
