  1. All I have to say is 6 wins in a row. Loving it!!!
  2. Chase better overall (adding defense with hitting) season. Josh Hamilton (with what he's gone through and overcome) the much better story. The thing movies are made of.
  3. OK, many of we were called for Ned's head.
  4. Winning sure is fun, isn't it? It was just a few short weeks ago we were calling for Ned's head. Whatever spark that hit this team, I hope it stays for a long, long time.....like, oh, the rest of the year? They have been getting good hitting and even better pitching.
  5. They show Johnson's strikeout of Cameron over and over and over again, but when Braun makes a great throw from left to 2nd, it's only replayed once. Don't get it.
  6. Hall is gone by Friday. I think DM had been trying to move Billy before this whole thing came up. Just a gut feeling.
  7. He could quit golf today and his great-great-great-great grandkids would still be financially set for life.
  8. It really comes down to a quality product. 4 years ago, when I was looking at purchasing a new vehicle, I looked at everything on the market. I ended up getting a Toyota Matrix, and in the 4 years of owning it, I've only had to put new tires on it. I looked into depreciation, maintenance costs, and the Toyota hands down to me, was the best vehicle for the price. Our other car is a 2000 VW bug. Good quality car (that only cost us $1), that gets good gas mileage and won't cost much for maintenance. As the gas prices continue to go up, more people will be looking for cars and trucks that get good gas mileage and don't cost $75 to fill up at a shot.
  9. I used to watch hockey quite regularly for a while, but haven't since the strike. I got caught up big time in the game last night because a few folks were talking about it in the chat. I thought, well, it will be fun to see Detroit erupt in flames.....but Pittsburgh played quite the tough game. I finally turned it off (at my wife's behest) at 11, and I'm sad I missed the rest of it. But, I will definitely be watching the next one!
  10. I grew up in Janesville, and I remember touring the plant when I was little and we had members of our church that worked there. It's sad to hear. Not surprising, considering the economy and the times we are living in, but it's still sad.
  11. Say it ain't so!!!! Rest in peace, Bo. One of the best blues guitarists to ever grace this planet. Heck, one of the best guitarists ever to grace this planet. The world is a lesser place without him.
  12. What works really well with asparagus is to wrap them in bacon and then put them on the grill. The bacon keeps the asparagus together and adds a bunch of flavor. We did that last week.
  13. Lakers. It's their year. No other reason than that to me.
  14. Yep! I'm surprised. Happy, but surprised. With losing Yo and Cappy, and the inconsistent pitching that has been thrown out there, to be .500 on June 1st, is a huge accomplishment. Prince seems to be warming up, the pitching seems to be becoming more consistent and if they can more often than not win 2 out of 3 in a series (or all 3 once in a while), hope springs eternal for Brewer fans.
  15. Why in the world is Turnbow starting for Nashville? Are they that desperate?
  16. I was surprised that I received a letter from the Government saying the check was potentially in the mail for 2 reasons. 1, because I owe money to the government this year, and was expecting my "rebate" to go toward what I owed. 2, because I had put in my bank info on Turbo Tax for it to be direct deposited. So, if it shows up, great, it will go into my emergency fund just in case I need to have repairs on the car and whatnot else, and if it doesn't, I'll hope that what I owe on my taxes will be less.
  17. aren`t you one of the people that was dogging on noah for looking different?Actually, my dogging on Noah was more for him ACTING different. If that was misconstrued as looking different, I apologize. I am far from the most good looking person in the world, so I have no place to stand and pass judgment on someone for how they look. I do my best to look at the actions of people more than anything else.
  18. The last time I checked, most, if not all tattoos were INK, not paint, correct? That sounds so much like an 80 year old man as opposed to a 40 year old man.
  19. I should also say, I'm 30 and I have no tattoos. Just a personal choice. I'm a wimp, and I'll readily admit it. Needles scare me. But hey, if Kobe, Prince Fielder Allen Iverson and Mike Tyson want to tattoo every square inch of their body, far be it from me to stop them. Does it mean I'll think any less of them? No way! To me, a person should be judged by WHO they are, not what they look like. Judge the character of the person, not the exterior.
  20. Was just about to say the same thing. Amazing, beautiful, stunning creation.
  21. That sounds like you're either getting too much fiber or not enough. Probably too much, in my opinion.
  22. Please have less than 10 strikeouts Brewers!! Pretty please?
  23. Rest in peace, Headey Lamar.....THAT'S HEADLEY!
