  1. My gut keeps coming back to the Rangers having the pieces necessary to make the deal happen. They've got excellent pitching and SS prospects, the two places of need. With the Orioles moving on, and I don't see the Angels really getting in on it...and the Sox? I'm not that familiar with their farm, but I haven't seen any reports on them having top flight guys. The Rangers need at least one more pitcher. Whether that's a package of Profar and a pitcher or two straight up for Greinke, or Profar, Feliz and a lower prospect for Greinke and Hart, I think it's going to end up being the Rangers.
  2. And K-rod...and Veras...and Loe....and Parra...and...
  3. I'm optimistic that DM may or may not make any trades, and nothing really will change for this season.
  4. In a week or so, there will probably be a few more not with the team anymore.
  5. So who goes first? Greinke, K-Rod, A-Ram or Hart? Or all of them in one monster mega-deal?
  6. Jolly Good takes me waaayyy back. I consumed plenty of Sour Powers and other Jolly Good varieties in my years. Good stuff!
  7. Johnny Cash, the man in black, at the Rock County Fair. I was in 2nd or 3rd grade and never truly understood the musical greatness I heard that day. Only after I studied music more did I truly get it.
  8. Taylor Green can play a passable third base....at least better than Gamel.
  9. I understand and agree with you, but last year, at the All-Star break, did anyone really see the Cardinals getting on their tear? Heck, even the Central isn't guaranteed. The Cardinals are fragile, have a rookie manager, the Pirates are young and very well may or may not come back to earth, so there's always that potential. However, the only way anything changes is if the Brewers start winning. Not just 1 or 2 games here or there, 8 out of 10 or more along those lines. If that doesn't happen, especially over the next 9 games and following, then, yeah, I'm all on board with selling. Sadly, what we're selling probably won't get much or a return, if at all.
  10. Alright, but let's look at it this way. Over the next two weeks, would you rather have Dillard or Thornburg coming out of the bullpen? I get that this team has basically showed no pulse this season, but seriously, they're 6 games out of the Wild Card. Yeah, there's a few teams ahead of them, but there definitely is a potential, if this team actually plays up to its' potential, to get back in the hunt. Give me Thornburg instead of Dillard in the bullpen any day.
  11. And there was an extremely large amount of rejoicing and dancing in the streets....
  12. Bianchizansom.....Bianchi, Izturis and Ransom OR Bianonaysansom.....Bianchi, Maysonnet and Ransom
  13. The funniest thing on that page is, farther down, in the "related articles"....the article titled "Do the Brewers regret trading Prince"....Wait....they did? What was the haul? A bag of balls? If so, then absolutely, I regret that.....anyway, move along.
  14. I kinda did that. After looking at Roadrunner, and having to either lease or buy one, I bit the bullet. Instead of waiting for the great and powerful AT&T to mercifully send me one, I went to the AT&T store. Walked out with one, and sympathy from the worker....not that the sympathy means all too much!
  15. So my answer came this morning. It was expected. I laid it all out there, and explained that instead of just simply changing the name (waaayyy too logical, I know), we got a completely new account. But we weren't offered a new modem or anything. Of course, my wife was under the impression that it was a simple change the name, not a brand new service, so she told we already had a modem....which at that time was working fine. Sooooo....long story short, expected answer is I'm looking for a new ISP, as AT&T wants me to pay $67.05 for a new modem....no thanks!
  16. As an aside, how would changing the name on your AT&T account save money? Weird AT&T logic, or something else? For whatever reason, our cell phone plan with AT&T was in my name, but internet was in my wife's name. Changing the name we could bundle and save, which has led to the headaches.
  17. AT&T is bugging me. I hadn't had ANY problems with their internet service until 3 months ago when they changed THE NAME on the account from my wife's to mine, so we could save money. No new equipment, just a new account and man, have the problems been growing. Nothing major in the last month, but yesterday, all of a sudden, my DSL and Internet lights aren't on on the modem. Restart about 8 times....nothing. Finally call about 8:30 PM and once I finally get to someone breathing, oh, there's no problem with your connection. Really? Then why do have none? Reset button hit, still nothing. They can send me a new modem, but I have to pay for it! 4 and a half years ago when I got the modem, it cost nothing. So, now I will be calling their business office first thing tomorrow, and if they still want to charge me, I'll be looking for a new ISP!
  18. I could have sworn it was over 100 when I lived in Sheboygan between 2004-2008. But still, I remember when I was growing up, it was hot. Heck, we even lived in a house with no AC for a while. Lots of basement time!! As for the car, how do you not see that and stop or slow down? I don't get it. If it's that big to make your CAR go airborne, you would think it's visible from a distance.
  19. Hey! It's summer!! It's hot! It gets cold and snowy in winter! I am laughing at this coverage of the heat, people are acting like it's never been hot before! Just think about it being -20 windchill and you've got 30 feet of snow on the ground. You'll feel better!
  20. Yes, but there was quotes that when the possible 1B move was talked about in the offseason that he didn't like playing 1st. So there's that.
  21. If the Cards want Grienke, it starts with their top pitching prospect along with "Minor League Guy" (Tavaras) and at least one other top prospect.
  22. I think the list goes more like this: 1. Bullpen 2. Bullpen 3. Bullpen 4. Bullpen 5. Bullpen 6. SS 7. Bench The bullpen has been horrid and there doesn't seem to be hope of improvement with the guys collected. So new bodies, new blood, SOMETHING new has to happen.
