Wake me when it's time for "One Shining Moment"
-
Should be in every thread.

Great points. The more I was thinking about it, a really good comparison is to good ol' GS. How many teams did Sheff end up playing for? The answer? 8. Longest time with a team? 5 years each with the Dodgers and Marlins. No doubt Sheff was talented, but his attitude and demeanor was tough to swallow. I have a feeling Lawrie may be the same way.

Interesting....there is usually more to the story. Lawrie has seemed to have a confidence and swagger about him, like Braun, however, it seems that in Braun's time in the minors and to the majors, he handled things with humility and didn't fight the organization...at least as far as we know. I have Lawrie on my fantasy team, so I'm hoping he does well.

Yuniesky Betancourt "neck and neck" for Royals 2B job
craigharmann replied to TURBO's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Giavotella and Getz much have had horrible springs to be beaten out by Yuni. Wow. That's pretty pathetic. -
The more I think about that game, the more frustrated I am. They could have very easily won the game before the last 15 seconds. They ran clock the last 2+ minutes of the game, while down 3. While not a big deal, they needed to get some points on the board. Just frustrating. Oh well. Such is life. At least they made it to the sweet 16.

Fords are great. I liked out VW Bug. I've got a Toyota Matrix and it's been a great car. Subaru, Hyundai, good to do with too as well as Mazdas. I'd stay clear of Chevys or GMs.

I did say.... And second start....and third start....and the season....and the career..... With Carpenter and his multiple shoulder/arm/elbow/son issues, it isn't just a one start/one time thing. It's extended.

Can the announcement of Greinke's 5 year extension be done soon? Please?
-
How about their, we have 15 SECONDS in the game, and need 1 POINT to tie and 2 POINTS to win....let's shoot a an awful 3 from above our head that doesn't even get to the rim late game offense? That was putrid.
-
Fixed it for ya.

What in God's green earth was that crap? Horrible shot. Awful, awful, awful.
-
I'm about ready to have a heart attack! The Badgers played the last 2-3 minutes like they had a lead, yet down by 3. Now, this next 30+ seconds is going to be tough!!!

I'm loving the winter weather we've been having in San Antonio. Very different than the last couple of years! Rain!!!!! Tonight we're predicted to get between 2-5 inches. I've had to mow my lawn more in the last 6 weeks than pretty much in all of last year!

Or be a gritty gamer that battles. -
Brady Heslip of Baylor is playing out of his mind! Hitting a crazy amount of 3's
-
Wow, that's like mid 90's depth in the Brewers rotation. And awesomeness too. Gotta love the Cubbies.
-
I hate Indiana....I hate Crean.....I hope they lose their next game by 20.

I did my student teaching back in the day at Sheboygan Lutheran, and when I lived in Sheboygan, I did some helping out in the classrooms and sub teaching at Sheboygan Lutheran. I know lots of people who are affiliated with them and I am so ecstatic and happy for them!
-
It's sure looking close right now! May be a smart pick!
-
Just read it online and the San Antonio Express News is trying to spin it as a positive. If it were up to me, I'd rather have neither Richard Jefferson or Jackson. It's not an exciting or sexy trade by any stretch.
-
I blame you for making me second guess myself and picking Wichita State against my pick of VCU! :-) Actually, I blame myself for not following college hoops as much as I should (having an almost 3 year old and almost 4 month old will do that) along with picking teams being a crapshoot....so, you're basically off the hook!

Once again, YuBet's awesomeness proves true. Awesomeness at......well.......something.....Maybe it's causing discussions about how frustrating he is.

Tim Dillard's Tim Kurkjian impression
craigharmann replied to TooLiveBrew's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
That....was......one of the most awesomest things I have ever seen. Just for THAT reason alone, Tim Dillard deserves a spot in the bullpen. He seems to be a good guy, and a definite help to keep the clubhouse loose. I hope he pitches well in spring to earn a spot on the team.
