  1. It's one thing to claim to be a born-again Christian, etc. It's another thing to act like one. What's that saying? Actions speak louder than words...although Carp's words seemed to be pretty loud too. Spot on here. It's what gets under my skin about the Cards. Poo can admire his homers, but if anyone else does, all heck will rain down on you. Molina can do his best Robby Alomar impression and when it's brought up, Cards fans say "he apologized, move on." Really? I don't remember that! It's the double standard along with my hatred of the Cards that makes me hope they'll lose to the much more classier TEAM, the Rangers.
  2. Well, if Al keeps pushing his contract higher and higher and if the Cardinals sign him, between his contract, Holliday's contract and Carpenter's contract, they aren't going to be able to afford much else. So they may be not that great for a while....at least I hope so. I don't like them.
  3. Apparently when you lose, it's a good thing to avoid talking about it to the media. Saw a few tweets and articles that some of the ETGAB crew skipped the postgame media time. That's nice.
  4. I hope Tony does it again and again, causing the Cards to implode. I really, really, really, really don't want them to win.
  5. Here's what I am holding solace in. Cards will get crushed in WS. Al will either get his money from the Cards or someone else. If he signs with the Cards, they won't have the money to field anything decent around him. Otherwise, if he leaves, they'll still stink because they're the Cards.
  6. Yep. Hoped it wasn't. But it was.yep, definitely was hoping for Hank. But Sully was very predictable the more and more I thought about it. Hopefully we'll see Hank on Wednesday. However, TLR was "disappointed" in it, so I'm all on board for it!
  7. TBS guys giving props to the Brewer fans! I can't wait to hear how loud it's gonna be!
  8. Not sure if you're opposed to rap in general but this song always does the trick to get pumped up. Lyrics relate to what the Brewers going through too: Thanks. Not opposed to rap, but opposed to horrible rap about the Brewers. I was looking for Brewer-specific songs. But that's alright.
  9. In an effort to get myself ready, I watched a live version of written in the stars....that didn't quite go where I thought it would from the chorus. Oh well. Went to YouTube and there were some Godawful, horrific trainwrecks of attempting to rap. Are there any Brewer fans that write decent songs? Or any suggestions?
  10. My summary of a Cards forum:Prince is fat Braun is a tool Nyjer is the antichrist You forgot 2:TLR is a baseball savant Albert Pujols walks on water.
  11. I am so excited for this game! After Friday's showing, a bit nervous that that team will rear its' ugly head again, but all along, I've had a feeling that this series may go 7. Tomorrow, I will more than likely be a nervous wreck, but tonight, I'm all good.
  12. Sadly, my mind went there about 5 seconds before I read your post.
  13. I forgot the other most important thing. In preparation for the game, my two and a half year old and I are watching Monsters Inc.
  14. This is why we got ZG. This is why we we win. I had a Cardinal fan tell me that for the next 3 games, the Cards have better pitching than the Crew. I don't see it. I also have a buddy who will shave his head if the Brewers win the WS. For these reasons, along with Jackson being on the mound, I am hopeful and feeling good that the Brewers will win.
  15. This. I love it. Can't you just envision ZG with safety goggles on and some Bunsen burners?
  16. Wow. Talk about leaving it on the field...
  17. Keep Greinke on regular rest. A win is a win regardless of if it's at Bud Light Memorial Field or MP. Greinke gives the best chance to win tonight, so he's gotta go.
  18. The more I think about it, this is probably the biggest game for the Brewers in a long while. Not quite MUST win, but a strong need to win. If they do, the dynamic changes. 2-2, going back to Milwaukee is much better than 3-1 heading into game 5, making it a must win. Luckily, their guy gives is a decent shot, we just need the good Wolf and awake bats! And halfway decent D.
  19. We've got them right where we want them. The last 36 hours, I've heard from Cardinal fans, basically saying they're going to win the WS. You won 1 game....ONE STINKING GAME! Which I expected, because they'd get overconfident. Hopefully the rain screws up Carp, and gets into their pen. We've got Narv and Marco who can go, and that's a big advantage. As long as Poo is pitched down and away, I'll be happy.
  20. Yeah, could be interesting. 60% chance of rain today, 80% tonight. But, at least Narv is ready to go if weather makes it challenging....here's to Carp having problems!
  21. My Cardinal fan buddy just tweeted me that he thinks Prince will ask for more money than Al. Really? I doubt it. If Al is a "sure-fire" Hall of Famer, the Cards or someone are going to give him a ton of money. Maybe not the $30 million he thinks he should get, although that certainly would cripple the Cards, but he'll get more than Prince.
  22. About as surprising as Tebow being named the Broncos starting QB. Good luck Theo.
  23. Does this strike anyone else as hilarious? Bob Gibson? Red Schoendienst? Anyone else? I mean Soup is an odd choice, if you ask me.
