Holliday for 162 is laughable! He'll probably miss 10 games with a hangnail, 15 with a headache and 25 with an undetermined "ouchie".

Buster Olney of ESPN tweeted this morning that the Brewers were losers in signing Fielder. I went off on him. He gave no indications he wanted to stay, turned down long term offers, so what were they supposed to do? They've moved on. But to make it sound like they are losers when there wasn't even a chance of winning? Idiotic.

Living 3 hours from Houston, this is hilarious! Yes, we Texans are serious about our meat and BBQ, but can't you see it? The mascot would be a side of meat! PETA would have a field day!

Of course!! They won the WS and they still have McGwire! What more do you need?

    Supposedly.....according to Cecil.

I had a gut feeling all along this was the place he was going to go. For as much as Prince wanted to get paid, the stick it to daddy thing I thought would win out in the end. Good luck.

That would seem to make the most sense. I think Texas would like him, but for their price. And there really isn't anyone else showing a lot of interest in him.

Maybe they know something we don't.....

I knew that, but thanks for informing everyone else! :-)

It frustrates me that certain sports media guys can't say Houston properly. It comes out more like Euston.....and that's not the name of the city! The H is pronounced! Annoying!

Me too....then I'd definitely be making a trip or two (or twenty) up I-35 to watch some games!

Maybe they all need to bump some Bette Midler on the road....You are the wind beneath my wings.....

LOOOOOOOVE IT!!!! Glad to have Big Red back in the fold!

It doesn't change my opinion of Al, but it's pretty cool. I went to college with the principal and it's good to see him using his money for good causes. Pujols' gift

The more fun choice for us fans would have been to ship him to the Cards. Now THAT implosion would have been fun to see!

Good to see things haven't changed in the past 10 years since I've read the Reporter. Although, it was a better option than the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen or the weekly Mayville News. But those were the choices!

The Cardinals won't be very good. Remember, they lost Poo and Wainwright is coming off of a serious injury. Last year, a lot was done with smoke, mirrors and Mark McGwire as the hitting instructor. TLR is no longer the manager, so maybe he won't want McGwire to use his usual techniques.

I'm just sharing what I saw scroll across the bottom of the screen. I even went back to make sure I read it right. It seemed odd to me, but then again, the whole thing has been odd from the get-go!

ESPN just scrolled that a "league official" said it's "highly unlikely" that Braun's suspension will be overturned. Apparently via the MJS.

Frank Robinson??? I thought it was GLENN Robinson! ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=30508

According to most mothers, this is a good thing. Just saying....
  22. craigharmann
Both talk funny, but when you get down to it, are good people?
  23. craigharmann
With Big Mac still being the "hitting" coach, Beltran will put up MVP numbers. Gotta love it!

It's like a relationship that's going bad. You do the trial separation and realize you can't live without each other. They paid him to go away, now they pay him to return.
  25. craigharmann
On ESPN's headline, they have him listed as a CF. Is that ESPN and their normal genius again, or is he being looked at as a possible CF?
