  1. I don't know if it was discipline or the fact that Al didn't really want to be in STL anymore.
  2. If it was something like a 5 year/$80-$90 million contract, I wouldn't be too upset if the Brewers signed Prince. I doubt it's going to happen.
  3. Ha ha!!! Definitely didn't see that coming!! Now he'll toil on the west coast and won't get as much love from ESPN and the east coast folk! I LOVE IT!!!! Now, if DM can get a decent ss, we're in business!
  4. Well then!! I'm speechless.
  5. I think he'll probably end up in Miami. Since they didn't get Al, they'll go for Prince.
  6. Not so fast.....follow up reports say not quite done yet.
  7. I'm good with this, replacing Alex G with Furcal, but if push comes to shove, I'll go with Alex. Maybe even throw in Bill Hall for a supersub role?
  8. I don't think it's the quietness, it's the quality of moves. Remember a couple of years ago, our Christmas present as Brewers fans was Jeff Suppan. Of course, last year, was amazing. So, I'm hopeful that it's a good gift and not the coal that was Suppan.
  9. Especially when there's no guarantee he is as old as he says he is!
  10. Looks like the Fish are going up to 10 years for Poo. Looks like a pretty similar contract to ARod....yeah, that worked well for the Rangers. Go Miami Go!!!! I'm all for getting Poo off of the Cards, and putting him on a team that might be competitive for a year or two, then rebuild which makes him irrelevant. And, you have to wonder with the shoulder/arm injuries he's had, how long he can go before a major injury.
  11. Pack yourself in a box and ship yourself. Cheapest way to go.
  12. This would be where we find out if Poo is about winning of $$$. If he wants to win, sure he'll probably win this year. But if he signs any longer than a 6 year contract, who is to say the Fish won't dismantle again? They've done it twice before. And good luck trying to find someone dumb enough to take on the albatross of the contract. If he wants to win long term, he won't go to Miami. If he wants $$$, he will. My bet is he will.
  13. Oh come on!! The Yankees with Jeter and ARod!!! Maybe that should be in blue....I don't know.
  14. I don't want Riske back. He did enough before. Maybe a NRI, but that's it.
  15. I saw that and thought about it. Or what a formidable middle of the order in Braun, Lee and ARam....I'd be interested in signing ARam and trading for Lee. It would be fun to hear Uke make horse noises when Lee hits a homer again.
  16. With Prince wanting to outdo his dad, I could definitely see Toronto or Detroit as places he'd go. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in Toronto.
  17. Velazquez OK, so he was involved in an incident, and was on probation for 3 years. Scouts say he's a 5 tool prospect. Scouting report He hasn't made it past High A ball and he's 23. So probably not counting on him for this year in Milwaukee.
  18. But, is YuBet a major league SS? Bat maybe, defensively.....????
  19. Wait, you could see Yuni playing second???? Really?
  20. I get the feeling that DM really likes YuBet. It would be wonderful is someone would sign him, but who realistically would?
  21. Jack Morris, maybe. Larkin was good, but is he HOF worthy? I don't know. Other than those two, that's pretty much it. The rest of the field have too many clouds surrounding them with steroids. I'd start going back to guys in the 50's, 60's and 70's than the guys who are out there.
  22. Time to dig out the glasses/mustache disguise kits if you're a Boston fan!
  23. Buster Olney just tweeted that the Brewers didn't offer KRod arby due to a gentlmen's agreement that he would reject. That made no sense. He clarified. Arby has been offered, but no agreement in place to reject. But he would be crazy to accept it!!
  24. Best detail of it all? Braun had more votes than Pooholes and Berkman combined!
