  1. The game was lost on Cameron's errant throw home that Prince failed to cut. Keeping Glaus at 1st base would have likely turned into a double play with the next hitter. Even if they can't turn the double play, the next hitter (pinch hitting pitcher) wouldn't have been able to bunt, etc with two outs. I'm not saying we go on to win the game, but that decision by Cameron really accounted for runs 4 & 5 scoring.
  2. No. I have spoken to several people who live in the Houston area and have lived there pre-Katrina. They have seen the influx of minorities that scrambled to the area post-Katrina. Apparently, all you have to do is mention/prove that you were a "victim" of Katrina and you are moved to the top of housing and employment lists in Eastern Texas. Couple that with other government welfare programs and there is no incentive for a majority of "victims" to return to New Orleans now, let alone if another hurricane hit. Again on has to remember that the hurricane did not do the majority of the damage, it was the failure of the levee system. A level 3 hurricane would likely not reproduce the type of damage seen during Katrina, simply because of the levee situation wont be reproduced.
  3. I thought tonight's game was lost on the poor decision from Cameron to throw home. Either that or Prince for not cutting that ball. If that runner is held at 1st, we get out of the inning on the double play grounder to Weeks on the next batter and leave the inning tied at 3.
  4. I said the same thing last night. A Brewers win tonight puts STL 6 back in the loss column with 29 to play. I just dont think they have enough talent to make up for a very very very poor bullpen.
  5. I know I have 12 and I'm pretty sure the other team is set. The address is posted above, doesn't hurt to come out and see.
  6. Konkel Park 51st & Layton.
  7. Yes sir. Like Donkey Kong.
  8. I just wish the two game set was wrapped around a homestand, so that way the team could get off days at home. but alas.
  9. I'm sure it works good for you. I think I speak for 90% of impatient people that if I can't find the information quickly, I'll change the page. Couple that with the bright green coloring and I had to get out of there.
  10. 5 of 6 over the last two series may be tough. I think we have the WC sewed up by Chicago and throw a bunch of AAA callups out there.
  11. Looking at that Al's Ramblings page makes my eyes hurt. I turned it away immediately upon seeing large font, bright neon green colors and other goofy formatting. Can we get that copied here once my eyes adjust http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. 15 replies about hearing about 1982 and zero replies on if they team can reach the win total from the 1982 team. I sure picked a winner of a topic.
  13. Because there are the semantics of working out 162 games for all 30 teams, not just two.
  14. and he asked how are WE doing. Here's hoping he meant the Brewers and didn't think you were mad at him for leaving the seat up.
  15. (414) 902-4000, ask for your season ticket rep.
  16. I agree, I don't know how many times I've had to hear about the stadium tax and how tickets, etc should be cheaper. Other than the 5-county sales.
  17. I bet you hate it when a band you like gets popular because you "heard them first." Oh I love those people. It's great that you have hours upon hours in your day and you spend it listening to obscure musical talent. As far as those mailbag questions, I have a sneaking suspicion that some days the editors just make up the questions and say it is from Rob in Tomah. Here's one I overheard at the park last week when a man reached against Riske with the Brewers in control of the game, "Why isn't Ted Simmons going out there to get him settled down?"
  18. Gosh I sure hope Durham doesnt miss any starts against RHP. Even Bill Hall managed a hit tonight.
  19. Better winning percentage, same wins.
  20. The Brewers currently stand at 77-55. The 1982 Milwaukee Brewers went 95-67. Can this Milwaukee Brewers team surpass the win total from that 1982 Brewers team, making it statistically the greatest team in Brewers history? I really dont want to turn this into a debate over which team was better as we may need the post-season to play out to determine that. But I think it'll be fun seeing if this team can finish out 19-11 to win 96 games.
  21. I agree, but it's similiar to that argument when I was a law enforcement officer, the whole "I pay your salary" deal. It's just doesnt hold water for me. But there are plenty of people who analyze their tax dollars, get mad over where taxes go and feel they have some inherent right to something because of some tax, etc. It's not a right or wrong opinion and to each his own.
  22. Two Villages include Belgium & Luxemborg http://en.wikipedia.org/w..._of_villages_in_Wisconsin If somebody wants to go through the 1300 towns, go for it http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ist_of_towns_in_Wisconsin I'm too tired.
  23. I couldn't recognize any. http://en.wikipedia.org/w...st_of_cities_in_Wisconsin Perhaps the list has to be expanded to towns, townships, unincorporated areas and villages?
  24. I've also parked in this guys yard a few times $20, but it is right across from the stadium, easy in and easy out. And he'll allow you to tailgate if you want to as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/Packe...ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  25. The streets surrounding the park. No cost. Farthest I've ever walked was 8 blocks.
