  1. Well, more poor execution by the Brewers.
  2. Karros just said Braun is lost at the plate right now. He's not wrong, although he could say that about every Brewer other than Hardy, Cameron, or Kendall right now.
  3. You can tell things are going poorly when Skaalen gets mad. Usually he's the most stone-faced of them all.
  4. Maybe there is something to that innings limit cap after all. Manny hasn't looked very good lately.
  5. Personally, I think at times it is embarrassing how people boo at every little thing that goes wrong. Like the game on Sunday for example. I think a lot of the booing is based on many people's pessimistic nature towards the Brewers since they've never really been all that successful. Those pessimistic people are expecting the Brewers to fail and whenever they suspect the collapse is coming the boos rain down. I'm sure the drunkenness doesn't help, but if you look at a team like the Packers or Badgers who have had sustained success, fans don't boo them nearly as much when every little thing goes wrong. In the end, winning cures everything.
  6. The Cubs are our best ally right now. They play Astros 3 more times, the Cardinals 3 times, and the Mets for 4. Even if we stink against the Phillies we still have a chance, provided we don't stink it up against the Cubs, Reds, and Pirates, too.
  7. If we split this series, we'll be ok. Granted with Parra, Suppan, and Bush going the odds of that are less than 50%, but stranger things have happened. Nice to see Prince run into one and Rickie hit some balls hard. It feels like we haven't hit the ball hard consistently in about 2 weeks.
  8. Magic number is 13 now. It isn't as sweet because 3 teams are tied at 13, but hopefully the Cubs can take care of some business in Houston this weekend and we can take care of some in Philly. Astros have Oswalt going tomorrow against Zach Duke, so on paper that's an auto win. Thankfully, the game isn't played on paper.
  9. Now our bullpen will always be caffeinated! I used to love facing Todd Coffey, but he can't be any worse than Julian Tavarez, or half of the other guys who have pitched this year, can he?
  10. This entire homestand seems like the karmic balance for all those one run games earlier this season that we had no business winning but that we did.
  11. Is Ned going to free Mike Rivera to play first base? lol
  12. Dusty taking out Mike Lincoln is the best thing he has done all night. That guy owns our eternal soul.
  13. Nice job, Gagné. Way to not suck to the level of Greg Aquino. Prince, it would be a really good time for you to break out of your horrendous power drought at the plate and you know, end this game.
  14. Baserunning awareness -15, Esco. Gagné time. Ugh.
  15. I really hope we can win this in the 9th. Please?
  16. Rickie Weeks is quite possibly the worst every day starting defensive second baseman in baseball, and sadly, I'm not exaggerating.
  17. This umpire is horrible. Counsell probably comes in for a double switch, so we have the grittiest 9th inning ever again with Kendall, Counsell, and Weeks.
  18. I involuntarily held my breath when I saw that ball was going to Weeks to end the inning. lol
  19. This is seriously like bad WWE booking. We keep finding new ways to get to the same general result, failure to execute.
  20. Counsell is a gritty veteran though, he should always get to bat. I've made peace with the fact Ned won't use any young guys off the bench, nor will he use any relief pitcher not named Riske, Gagné, Mota, Shouse, or Torres when we have the lead. It is just what makes Ned, Ned.
  21. Ray Durham? Really? If that doesn't give these guys energy, nothing will.
  22. Well, at least Counsell isn't batting. lol
  23. As horrible as this team has been lately and as angry as they make me, I can't not watch. Does that make me a true fan, a masochist, or both?
  24. You know, Soup is probably going to get blamed for "sucking" if we lose, but our offense has been pathetic this entire homestand and I sadly think it is time that they take some of the "credit" for this rough patch.
  25. Lead is fading fast Suppan saves us from bullpen Brewers score some runs
