  1. With one pitch, you cant put guys away.
  2. I think most of us "expect" Turnbow to blow it. Hopefully, he will only allow one run.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  3. Turnbow is up. I can't believe it. We are desperate.
  4. I just caught I read the first couple pages of this thread and I think people missed the point of this thread. I just wanted to point out that Billy continually struggles and people instead focus their venom on others. I know that Billy won't bat .180 all year, but I do believe he is still a bit selfish at the plate and it annoys me. You may have a different perspective, but I do not see why others cant see Billy's issues at the plate. I honestly dont see Billy batting .250 with a .300 OBP this year. I hope I'm wrong. The only other Brewer I pick on is Turnbow and those reasons are well documented so don't typecast me as a whiner because I cheer loud and never boo, I just point out glaring weaknesses I see.
  5. Bill Hall still hapless. 3-1 count weak pop-up and 0 for 3.
  6. Rydogg The difference in my post is that I believe he is a "selfish" or maybe a "dumb" player. The guy has a ton of talent, no doubt, but always wants to play the role of hero. This is what irritates me more than the other guys. I believe those guys are really pressing while I think that Hall is just thinking about his next home run trot. Bill has more experience than all those kids and he should lead by example. It figures that he trains with Jenkins in Arizona in the offseason. They are very similar offensive players from opposite sides of the plate. Also, Counsell or Branyan at third-no. Give up on Hall-no. Weeks and Sheets-No. Turnbow and Yost-absolutely
  7. He has been solid in the field, but absolutely brutal at the plate. He has 25 Ks vs 2 walks, a solid .205 OBP with .185 average, .649 OPS, and this is for 85 ABS. Because he has gotten a couple of timely hits, people give him a freebie on here and focus venom on Rickie. Why? Maybe because Rickie was the second pick of the draft. Let's forget that and focus on how bad Hall has actually been. He never starts rallies because he just wants to hit a homer. Case in point was last night against Cardinals where he refused to take a walk and ended up getting the winning run caught at third.
  8. What was I thinking? I take back the "props" I gave to Yost.
  9. The silver lining may be a Turnbow DFA.
  10. I'm not blaming Skaalen specifically, but if that's the problem throughout the lineup, I would hope that it's a problem that he has been addressing regularly. I would hope so, but you never know. I think this team will be about .500 until June and then will go on a tear once it all comes together, but I don't see it happening overnight.
  11. EDIT: If he puts in Riske and he gives up the run, you guys are asking why Turnbow isn't in there. Anything Yost does, you guys criticize. Huh? Nobody wants Turnbow. However, I will agree with you that Yost gets too much of the blame. I will let him slide on this one if we DFA Turnbow because of it.
  12. Yes, because they all are having the same problem which can be corrected. They are all swinging at the ball outside off the plate. They have to learn that they are playing into the pitches hands. They also need to take pitches the other way more and I believe it will happen.
  13. I respectfully disagree. That's all. I always see Braun hustling hard offensively. I just think he is still a bit tentative in the field. I believe he wanted to get around the ball so he could get more on his throw, but I wouldn't say it was a lack of hustle. Maybe he attacks that ball once he gets better. Also, Hall still gets his usually Hall pass.
  14. What were you watching. He did hustle. Not fair to Braun. The selfish slacker you should be attacking is Bill Hall for swinging when he is getting "unintentionally" walked. The Cards were hoping he would get himself out and he happily obliged.
  15. If anyone has seen the movie, "The Natural", I believe Turnbow plays the role of Bump Bailey. He is a talented guy that just doesn't get it and is a curse to the team he is on. Get rid of him, "bag and baggage." He is becoming Isaiah Thomas"like" figure with the Knicks. Everyone outside the organization wants him out but organization stubbornly holds on to him.
  16. Yes, we all know Turnbow is garbage and Yost is a subpar manager. However, Bill Hall's AB infuriates me. They were unintentionally walking him to set up the DP and the selfish piece of garbage wanted to be a hero instead of taking the walk. It was so obvious.
  17. The problem is, it's really hard to be effective when you never get to pitch. I'm not saying he's good, but the coaching staff isn't even giving him a chance to succeed. Stop it...please stop it. He is a professional that lost opportunities because he did things just like tonight. terrible.
  18. A few of you guys will still back Turnbow. The guy FLAT OUT STINKS! We don not need this clown. Last year, we were desperate, but this year we will fill his spot very needily.
  19. I would just DFA him and use a spot for someone else. I wouldn't want him to have a couple good games in a row for only Ned to get confidence in him and for him to blow a few games after that.
  20. I just think Yost struggles as an in-game manager, but I think he could be a tremendous bench coach for someone.
  21. Actually, Stetter will be sent down after the game and Gwynn will be recalled.
  22. Just reported. Here it is. I have no doubt he will be scooped up by an American League team shortly. http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=234740&lid=headline&lpos=topStory_mlb EDITED: Subject for clarity after bump from April...
  23. Hmmm... 14 pitchers? What the heck is going to happen next?
  24. I believe Sheets to the DL is an option as well. I believe that is what the delay is about. They are probably examining him as we speak to see if it is necessary for a DL stint.
  25. I think not seeing McClung in a game like this signifies that they have no hope in him. He will be DFAd and Bush or Villy to the pen when Yo is put on the roster.
