  1. I hope he can finish the year well and we package him in a trade and bring Escobar up. Yes, he will struggle a bit, but will do no worse offensively than Hardy and will play with more range at short. (edit: pared back a couple sentences that unintentionally caused a couple responses that could have derailed the thread... those responses have been hidden --1992)
  2. JJ Hardy is the perpetual rally killer after the third inning. Before the fourth inning, he is awesome.
  3. Bill said that McClung would be in to pitch to one batter. What an idiot. He can pitch 80 pitches if they need him too if he is not pitching till Saturday. I would pitch him in the 8th too.
  4. Bill Hall is the single biggest reason this team has struggled so far. Yes, Fielder, Weeks, Cameron, and Gagne have been terrible, but they have shown some promise at least a couple times. Billy had a big hit early in the year, but has not done squat since and NEVER starts a rally. I believe he still has value against lefties but his splits against righties are below abysmal.
  5. Bill Hall should never start against a righty again. Strictly a platooner. How long will the Brewers wait?
  6. I sitting near Pesky's pole on Saturday and Sunday Im in the third row in between third and the Monster. These tix were purchased for $129 and $169 via StubHub. Nice. I will be staying at Logan Airport Hilton.
  7. I think Ned did an admirable job while here until down the stretch last year. I believe the message is getting stale and a change needs to be made. Even if is just one of our coaches that replaces. It will show that we want to win now. I think there is nothing to lose if we let him go, and only something to gain by doing it.
  8. Regardless of the outcome that was one of Bill's most patient AB's of the year. The type of AB that all the Brewer hitter's should employ. He also took pitches in that AB he didn't swing at. Do you give him no credit for having a good eye? This may be true, but the fact is that he fouled two meatballs he should have jacked.
  9. In fairness to Rickie, he has gotten robbed about 7 times this year on rockets.
  10. Bill Hall is a good player...a good platoon player.
  11. I think it is not that relevant, but before people blasted my decision, I wanted to prove it had been done before.
  12. If the Brewers get one game under .500, Yost must be fired. There is precedent because the Brewers did the same thing in 1982 with Buck Rodgers.
  13. Once Parra gets to 50 pitches, he gets lit up like a Christmas tree. Now a passed ball.
  14. I will be at both weekend games. We are sitting next to Monster in third row on lf line. Also, got seats next to Pesky's (sp) pole in right. Saturday tix were $129 apiece and Sunday was $139/apiece on StubHub. For two we got flights in on American early in the morning from O'Hare Saturday and we are staying at Logan Airport Hilton for two nights. Cost $850 total on www.aa.com.
  15. Turnbow will be gone shortly and I can change avatar.
  16. This is a great day. Turnbow will no longer be a Brewer anymore. Yes!
  17. I prefer using the acronym-DINKS over yuppie. DINKS is dual-income no kids. Yuppie is a racist word to us DINKS. I am just kidding, of course.
  18. I live in ChiTown and love living here and cheering for the Brewers at Wrigley. I usually catch three tilts a year here when they play. I'm not the guy to talk to about parking because everyone comes to my place from Wisco and we leave from here. I live in Lincoln Park, which is a hop, skip, and jump away. Chicago fans are fun to mess with a little bit. Half of my friends are Cub fans unfortunately. We constantly jab each others teams and nothing happens from it for the most part. I also will jab with some fans who mess with me first, but I make sure they are not absolutely hammered or it could be a problem. I wear my Yount, Weeks, or now Braun jerseys to each game and make it out unscathed. I would not recommend Murphy's or Cubby Bear. They are far too crowded. Casey Moran's is my favorite, but you need to get there really early. On that note, I would recommend either Mo's (south on Clark one block), Goose Island (half block s on Clark), or a new bar called Vines, which is next to Cubby Bear. Oh yeah, Red Ivy is pretty good too. These are all on Clark. Enjoy your time at Wrigley. Although I like Miller Park a lot more, I do enjoy going to Wrigley more for our new rivalry because there is nothing better than walking out of that joint with a W. (Although, if we lose, you have to listen to that awful Go Cubs, Go song.)
  19. Ill be there representing Brewer nation on Wednesday (with Cub fans) supporting the Ryan Braun blue. Thursday I will be with three fellow Brewer fans wearing the Rickie Weeks gray. I believe this series is more important than we think. I think it could send either team in the wrong direction very fast. Against all three of these guys we need to drive their pitch count and go the other way, which we have not done all season.
  20. Ugly save, but we will take it. Hopefully, that scenario never happens again.
  21. When turnbow appears, bad things happen. Period
  22. Throw taguchi a meat ball,. dont walk him!
