  1. Peeps...this soap opera garbage means nothing but media and fan hype. Braun will apologize tomorrow and everything will be fine in the clubhouse. Do you think this is any worse than the fights between teammates the last couple of years? I really don't. Doug needs to make a deal for pitching that doesn't necessarily hurt the team seriously in the future. If Hardy or Hart goes and some spare parts...so be it. Hall needs a big fat DFA too. When this stuff happens...then lets get excited. If it doesn't, it means that there was no fair deal out there. I find this comical. Doug and Ryan are good people working hard. Let's not pound them for this nonsense.
  2. This is something that gets thrown way out of proportion. It is not a big deal at all, but is one of those things that fans and media will look back on to say either Braun turned the season around in a good way by his comments or that Braun killed this team because of the comments---depending on the results. Ho hum to me. Make a deal Doug.
  3. I was corrected on this earlier, but Hall still gets paid because he has 5 years service time in league.
  4. Glad on both counts. Glad the hitters made it in and glad the pitchers didn't. It irritated me when Sheets made us screw with rotation the last couple of times.
  5. I think Hall's days of a Brewer are a ways from being over. He will probably be on team until trading deadline to see if they can make a salary dump and trade for some other failure. Unfortunately, it doesn't make total sense to just DFA him. I wish he would accept a minor league assignment, but I don't think his agent will let that fly.
  6. Not a horrible result because Marmol threw for 4th day in a row. Heilman threw 21 pitches and Gregg got up. Zambrarano very rarely goes more than 7 so this could bode well tomorrow if Soup can go six and keep it under 5 runs allowed.
  7. I know I had a right to be worried about this matchup. Make a deal Doug.
  8. Hart has been deserving of it. He has been horrible lately and is right next to Billy in my book. Yesterday, he couldn't bunt and stranded a runner at 3rd with less than two outs.
  9. Very key inning for McClung here. If he can get them in order. He can pitch to bottom of order in 4th and then be replaced. Braun needs to show a bit more patience because we need Dempster out of there. Cubs bpen is mediocre at best.
  10. Let's not overreact. We will have one more start with McClung as a band aid before the break and either we will have a replacement or Bush will be back. Things like this happen during the season.
  11. I'll take a split right now. We don't need to give the Cubs any ammunition especially after 2007 and the Aramis game at about the same time of season.
  12. Billy Hart and Corey Hall are two of my favorite Brewers.
  13. I wouldn't mind Hart being part of a trade right now. He simply is not that good. He is the goat of this game.
  14. Thursday-McClung vs Dempster Friday- Suppan vs Zambrano Saturday- Looper vs Harden Sunday- Burns vs Lilly There will be no Gallardo vs Cubs and we miss Randy Wells. I cross my fingers for a split. Probably will lose 3 of 4. A solid chance to be swept. Yikes!
  15. I apologize. I need to bring more substance to the thread. However, I will still think the same way a month from now about Hall. Oh, by the way, Hall is now batting .244 vs lefties, with .264 OBP, with OPS of .670. That, my friends, is horrendous for a guy that supposedly rakes lefties.
  16. Believe it or not, it has not been him hitting .197 this year as much to how clueless he is. His swing has so many darn holes in it. I also think that he will "guess" on a pitch before the pitch is actually thrown if he will swing or not. He lets pitches go right down the middle, he swings through hanging sliders, he misses the high heater, and he misses the curve ball in the dirt. It is amazing. You can pitch him anywhere. I will maybe see Doug when he comes to Chicago on July 4th weekend. He is the best guy in the world and I really have avoided talking Brewers with him in the past too much. He likes to talk travel and wants to know how you are doing. Instead, I think I will finally tell him that Hall has to go with a serious straight face and ask him to explain why he is still on the MLB team. I hope he won't punch me!
  17. I am so sorry to say that I repeatedly told this board that Hall was a bad player for two years now. He is like Bump Bailey in "The Natural" now. He is bad karma and a very bad hitter who has absolutely no clue. He is worthless to this franchise and he has been given every chance to prove otherwise. I expect he will be DFA'd soon and will clear waivers and will have to accept an assignment to the minors or else not get paid. Maybe he can at least become "average" again. Sorry I am coming off like a jerk, but I have had enough now of this guy.
  18. I think the season will seriously be in doubt. I am not a ledgie, but let's look at the facts. Our #1 is good, but has not pitched this much...ever. Bush has arm fatigue and near a 6.00 ERA. Looper has a 5.00 ERA. Suppan is Suppan. Parra is in the minors. No solid minor league help. Our bullpen overused lately. Can anyone talk me off the ledge?
  19. And Hall showed his lack of discipline once again by swinging at three balls from a bad lefty.
  20. Can't say I agree with the Higuera part. He missed the entire 1992 season with injuries as the Brewers went 92-70; a record the Brewers have not reached since- even last year. The Brewers had some good teams in the late eighties as well. The worst signing in Brewer history, in my humble opinion, will always be Mr. Franklin Stubbs. Yes, he was bad. However, Stubbs OPS was .655 with Brewers in 650 abs. Hall's OPS the last two years is .664. Both bad, but Hall is worse because he was given a longer deal and has for the most part not been a platoon player like Stubbs was until recently.
  21. Hall signing looking to be the worst in team history. The reason being is that the team was good after his signing even though he has hurt the team. Teddy Higuera and Jeffrey Hammonds were not nearly as bad due to the teams just not being good.
