  1. Losing Bill Hall may be better than any trade the Brewers could make. In blue...but it may be true.
  2. I think that if we add that contract in full...Hall must be shipped there too to offset things. Hall is just very bad and I don't want to see him anymore.
  3. Wow, that was a hard high fast one to Dale! Rluz, you know that most successful coaches are not good MLBers. Sveum would be in this category. As a manager myself, it is easier to see weaknesses of others than your own. When people identify your weaknesses, you have to make adjustments. Bill Hall does not follow this simple credo.
  4. Don't take full credit. I have been saying the exact same things. Two years ago Dale Sveum told me that Billy and Geoff Jenkins were two most stubborn guys on team and refused to make adjustments.
  5. I have ripped Hall for over two years so this is nothing new for me. His .300 average was nothing special because rarely was a hit important. This guy can't simply handle righties or pressure anymore. He just refuses to hit to right field when he used to mash it there. I just don't understand.
  6. I feel it may give us the mojo back getting rid of that bum. Kinda like Bump Bailey in the movie the Natural.
  7. I have said over, over, and over again that Hall cannot hit righties and does not have a clutch bone in his body. He looks scared up there. I remember when he used to be decent and you wanted him up. Now you just try to guess how many pitches he will strike out in.
  8. That ball was not hard hit. In fact, it was ball three.
  9. Billy with ks 7 out of 8 ABs then hits into double play. I think this is a good thing long term because Macha gave him his chance and he blew it to be the third baseman.
  10. I don't want to stick out my chest and say "I told you so", but I was right about this guy three years ago. I had so many arguments with BFnet people that chose not t see how bad Hall was. This guy never ever should bat against a RHP. At least Macha gave him every chance to succeed and now he can be done with this jerk against righties. God, this Weeks injury stinks.
  11. No, he won't. He may change his stance a bit, but will not change approach. Is most stubborn guy on team and I am counting the days till he is gone. He hurts the team against righties and should see very minimal ABs against them. Lefties only and he never should bat 2nd.
  12. More like Parra. Dillard, Jeffress for DeRosa and Lee.
  13. Bill Hall is my most disliked Brewer of All-Time. No argument from me here. I will bet Hall will never bat 2nd again. The Weeks injury showed up tonight. Hey, but I love the comeback and love how we are playing.
  14. I actually am not with the popular opinion on here today. I believe with a 4-0 lead you put in the better defensive player of the two who is least likely to cost you the game. I expect, however, Gamel to at least start 2 out of the next 4 games to get him ready for Twins series with Rickie probably being out. I'm sure he will too. I'm with Macha on this one and I am the biggest Bill Hall-hater on this site.
  15. I believe the game continues with the same score at a later date, however, if this game was to be finished tomorrow the game tomorrow night would only be seven innings. Unless rules changed in last 5 years on this, the game will cease to exist and will start from scratch at later date.
  16. Brenly is not helping himself today either. Saying Braun is a smart hitter was tough for him today. Does he realized that 6 months ago that he was begging for this job? Anyway, let us not argue about these two cities. People choose to live in Alaska, South Dakota, and Afghanistan. Different strokes for different folks. I have lived in both cities and like Chicago better. DINK. Dual income no kids works great here.
  17. Let's not get carried away although Marquette is half Illinisian. Work and fun-no-except for when I go to Miller Park like in 15 hours via Lincoln Park. Fun is had by Chicago people in Dells, Lake Geneva, and northern Wisconsin though. Definitely not Milwaukee.
  18. In the top of the 7th, Kasper was talking about Milwaukee fans and how they are filling the park more. Brenly had this to say. "What else are they gonna do?" This was followed by awkward silence from Kasper because he got his gig because of his early work at TMJ. Brenly then replied "Well maybe they can eat cheese or something." This was a bit ignorant for me and it seemed like a sour grapes comment from a guy who had a horrible interview with Doug. I live in Chicago and like to make fun of Milwaukee sometimes too, but I can because I lived there for 23 years. The comment kind of irritated me from Brenly like it would if one of my friends made fun of my dad's job or something. I think Brenly is a putz.
  19. For all the nice wins we have had...this one is a bad loss no matter how you spin it.
  20. This was not a doom and gloom thread. I really thought with Suppan pitching that Sunday, the Phillies in Philly, and Houston that we would be 6-12. It did not mean that I was giving up on the season. I have always said that we would win in between 81-85 games. Hopefully, I am wrong and Brewers win 100.
  21. No brainer. Go to one of the Tonic locations. I believe there are 3 in Manhattan.
  22. I hate when people call Ryan "cocky" just because he speaks his mind. So what if he is anyway? All athletes are to an extent. Cal Ripken Jr was said to be the biggest primadonna of them all. Would you rather have Ryan give cliches every time? Give me a break.
  23. I'm glad I was wrong on this one! 12-10 with this schedule is fine with me.
  24. There are five US cities on that list, I think that's what we call a small sample size. In addition, there's a lot more than just the attractiveness of the female residents of the city that they took into consideration. I'm not saying that Wisconsin has the MOST attractive women on Earth, but we're not stuck in Pittsburgh here... (sorry, I just thought I'd kick Pittsburgh while they were down...) I know. I was just talking smack. I do miss Trenni though. I enjoyed her work even more than her looks. I liked her personality too.
