  1. I give Coshun credit. At least he got excited about a ball that got to the warning track this time.
  2. Since July 25th Braun has hit slightly worse than Freddy Galvis has all season.
  3. Gonna laugh so hard if Counsell doesn't pinch hit for Perez.
  4. He has haters? Plenty. Many doubters. People doubt his ability to go through a lineup multiple times while maintaining control of the two pitches he has and the need for a third. That's not hating.
  5. The guy led with the crown of his helmet. You think they should just let that go?
  6. Really nice return for the Tigers.
  7. If Dustin Houle is to be believed, Taylor Williams is getting called up.
  8. It looked that way because he jumped well before reaching the wall. That ball goes off the top of the wall if it's not caught.
  9. That's what happens when you don't get to play the Reds every day and teams start to get a book on you.
  10. Good idea sticking a microphone in a 3 year old's face. A+ to Jimmy Nelson's wife though.
  11. That's the second time tonight a Brewer has struck out on a pitch in the dirt to which Brian said it was a foul tip. If it was a foul tip and hit the dirt, it wouldn't be a strikeout. Pay attention.
  12. You say you wanted to find hitters with higher walk rates and then listed players who had below average walk rates most of their careers.
  13. August 12th against the Reds. Before that it was July 22nd against the Phillies. Before that it was July 14th against the Phillies. Interesting that 7 of his 13 home runs this year have come against the Phillies or Reds.
  14. Perez is good in the sense that he can provide defensive value from basically any position which allows maximum roster flexibility and he occasionally has some pop off the bench. Counsell basically treats him as a de facto starter though, which is insane. BCB I think wrote something about this. The more you play Perez, the more he's exposed, so you want to limit the amount of plate appearances he gets. Edit: https://www.brewcrewball.com/2017/7/25/16021664/milwaukee-brewers-should-consider-using-hernan-perez-less-often
  15. Davies strikeout rate is abysmal this year, so I don't have much confidence in him being more than a 4 at best. I think ideally you get enough pitching to make him a swingman. Thames has been replacement level since the beginning of May.
  16. I'm not sure how that call was missed. Pretty clearly out in real time.
  17. Oh, hi, feline Hank.
