  1. I doubt we put Nick Ramirez on the 40 man. A 28 year old reliever with basically no upside is not a player we should be using a 40 man spot on. Good story, if some other teams wants him, that's cool but it shouldn't be us.
  2. This overhead view of Steven Souza Jr.'s home run is awesome.
  3. Two of those three were so god awful they got released, yet we were supposed to go out and get them and just assume that they were going to turn into decent relievers again?
  4. Had a perfect game in the 9th as well but lost it on an error.
  5. You don't lose a whole lot with Perez out there instead of Braun. Okay Bill.
  6. Looks like we're going to need about 15 runs today.
  7. Of course you can trade them later. That wasn't the point though. If you feel someone like Anderson is going to regress from what they're doing this year, why wouldn't you sell high on him and get back more now than have him for a couple of years pitching worse and then trade him for less than you could've gotten?
  8. I'd take Nelson.
  9. Jesus, Coshun can't track a fly ball, mixes up players names and doesn't know the count half the time despite a TV screen right in front of him and a giant scoreboard in left field.
  10. "How can we negate that insurance run we just picked up and possibly more? By putting in Barnes, duh."
  11. "Brewers take the lead on the sacrifice fly from Robin Yount." And that wasn't even a joke. Would seriously be better off with just the crowd noise.
  12. So Orf was 4-5 with 2 doubles a triple and a home run and they say he hit for the cycle? Everything about this broadcast is awful.
  13. He's been worse than Garza and Suter away from Petco. 6.90 ERA and a .304/.377/.508 batting line.
  14. Again, this is not an argument you can use. Thom Brennaman is terrible and gets a lot of national gigs too.
  15. At least this time he actually got excited for a home run instead of a lazy fly ball that ESPN made fun of him for (did I ever post that alert in the game thread?)
  16. Counsell's infatuation with Perez is both baffling and annoying.
  17. Colorado inflates batting averages much more than it does power numbers these days I read something that said he completely overhauled his swing so it stays in the zone longer. No, it's basically all Coors Field. .322 BA and 1.072 OPS at home. .239 BA, .693 OPS on the road.
  18. Okay? None of this changes the fact that I would rather have Ortiz over all three of these guys. Quality over quantity. Cheng is the best one and we already have a middle infield prospect that's sort of struggling in Diaz. An all glove, no bat outfielder isn't particularly difficult to find and the only value Armstrong would have is hoping he pitches well enough in relief to flip him later.
  19. Could be great for teachers. I give students correct information over 90% of the time. So, you know, I'm pretty awesome.
  20. I'd be good with this. Just give me the crowd noise.
  21. There's not a single reason for Pittsburgh to consider this unless they're also getting top prospects in return.
  22. Uecker will never be fired but the OP has a point. On TV it's different but if you're listening on the radio, you need a description of what's happening and if Uecker doesn't provide that (I don't know, I don't really listen on the radio) then I can understand how that would be incredibly frustrating for someone who doesn't have access to a TV to see what's happening or even a computer to check gameday.
  23. So does anyone want to tell me why we're getting a Kent Hrbek commercial advertising a heating and air conditioning place in Winona?
