  2. Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina Pina it's Pina, you idiot.
  3. I had never even heard of ultimate Frisbee until my junior year in high school (fall 2003) when our gym teacher told us we were playing it. She quickly explained the rules and I thought to myself this is going to be awesome. The first minute we started playing, I was hooked. We also played a game called fireball which is basically just football, except you only get 4 downs to score but you can do backwards and forwards laterals as often as you want. A new down only starts when a runner is tagged down with two hands. That was a lot of fun too.
  4. And 9 of our next 12 after the road trip are against the Cardinals who we've actually played surprisingly well against this year, the Nationals and the Cubs so other than a series at the Reds, we don't really get a break after that road trip.
  5. Have we heard what Dupre's injury is? He might be an IR guy. I think the big 3 make it. I think Janis is gone. Just did not progress at all as a receiver. Davis probably makes it but he either needs to show progress as a receiver this year or be an ace in the return game to continue making the roster after this year. McCaffrey could probably make the roster on special teams alone, so he could probably replace Janis there.
  6. Please. The other 3 coming back were a soon to be 27 year old who gives a crap reliever with a 4.57 FIP in the majors, a 24 year old outfielder with 11 extra base hits and .663 OPS in AAA this year and an infielder hitting .217/.309/.461 in AA this year. I would trade those three for Ortiz in a second and when you consider Brinson and Mejia are basically a wash as prospects, that makes the Rangers package far more valuable and I'm not even including Cordell in this.
  7. Brinson 2-2 with 2 homers before a rain delay.
  8. He didn't get hit by Hall. Koskie overran the ball and reached back for it, the ball was in his glove and flew out when he hit the ground going back into the air and into the glove of Hall who was backing the play up.
  9. What a weird schedule coming up Off day Pirates Pirates Off day Rockies Rockies Rockies Giants Giants Giants Off day Dodgers Dodgers Dodgers Off day I don't remember ever seeing 4 off days in 2 weeks.
  10. I have no idea what this ump is seeing/hearing. Neither of those had the double tap and neither ball changed direction on replay.
  11. Maybe he was asking what the umpires who did review it saw or didn't see.
  12. I'm on my phone so it's hard to look but baseball reference probably has something on the positions Hall played. As far as Koskie, I was at that game and he overran a pop up and fell down while reaching backwards, so you're right fairly innocuous. Your friend is also right though because when the ball bounced back up in the air after hitting Koskie's glove, Hall came in and caught it, which I'm guessing is where your friend sees it as a dramatic play.
  13. If that were the case Santana would've been rung up two batters before Broxton.
  14. Who other than guys like Gray, Darvish and Quintana were even traded? It seemed like the deadline this year was either big names or secondary pieces. It didn't involve decent to good regulars unless I'm missing someone.
  15. 31% of Cooper's at bats in the minors came in either Colorado Springs or in rookie ball (Arizona or Helena) when he was an advanced college player teeing off on 18-20 year olds. Broxton hit .287 with a .924 OPS as a 26 year old in Colorado Springs last year.
  16. It's interesting how nobody brought up Cooper a few days ago when he was hitting .240/.269/.440. Again, the only time in his career prior to this season where he posted an .800 OPS was 70 plate appearances in rookie ball in 2013, 41 plate appearances combined between rookie and A ball in 2014, and 36 plate appearances in AA in 2015. He's going to be 27 in a few months, we didn't give up some top prospect for nothing. We gave up maybe a decent bat at best for maybe a decent reliever at best.
  17. If Mark wants that, he should fire Stearns and be the GM himself. Otherwise he should shut the hell up and let Stearns do what he feels is right for the team. That's the reason Mark hired him in the first place.
  18. This is lame but by far the best name is Kyle Seager who decided to go with "Corey's Brother."
  19. The White Sox are with the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch. There's no reason for them to leave.
