  1. I mean, the Brewers have been pretty terrible at drafting for a while. I think people can certainly express their opinion on why they didn't think a certain player was the right pick over a player they wanted.
  2. Greg Amsinger might be more annoying than Harold Reynolds.
  3. I would listen to Randy Jones read a phone book.
  4. Wow this board set up great for us.
  5. .260 50 .270 55 .280 60 .290 65 .300 70 .310 75 .320 80
  6. It's a good conference. Long Beach and Cal State Fullerton are in that conference and produce major leaguers. It's not the SEC or ACC or anything but it's probably in the top 5 or 6 conferences. If he has top-10 stuff somebody is going to let him pitch. So basically what you're saying is he should transfer but somehow get around the NCAA rule of having to sit out a year while transferring and that sitting out a year will help his draft stock?
  7. All picks are assigned a slot value. If you sign a guy for underslot or less than the value of the slot where he was taken, you can use that saved money on picks later in case a top talent falls further than expected.
  8. Hiura is young too. Doesn't turn 21 until August 2nd.
  9. Rob Manfred doesn't know how to say Irvine.
  10. AL team is good. He can DH and pitch. Assuming he's allowed to do that. Question: can you DH someone else in your lineup? Example, if McKay is the pitcher, could they DH a light hitting SS? I don't think so - but I thought someone might know. Just looked it up. McKay could actually be a starting pitcher and the Rays could just elect not to name a DH which would then force McKay (and pinch hitters) to become the de facto DH.
  11. Rays take McKay as a 1B. Not sure I like that for them but okay.
  12. So you're advocating two of the worst hitters in our lineup get the most at bats?
  13. The cost of good bullpen arms compared to the value they provide is not something we should be doing. Flip through guys in the minors and see if you can get a contributor there instead of paying insane prices for relievers.
  14. I don't get the constant pitching changes by Counsell either. Torres had back to back strikeouts and instead of just letting him finish the inning you had to go get another gas can and when he couldn't get an out you had to go use another pitcher.
  15. Lol. Feliz needed to get one out and 25 pitches, no outs and two runs later, he's pulled.
  16. The bullpen coach is actually good and helped a lot of our minor league pitchers. TheCrew07 brought it up when he was hired full time as bullpen coach that it was a stupid move because he should be roving around the minors helping guys there instead of basically answering phones in the bullpen.
  17. If you're going to try to steal there, wouldn't it make sense to have Brinson pinch run? And he was out but how do you not challenge that? What exactly are you saving it for?
  18. It's unbelievable how bad umpires are. Not only was he blocking home plate but he was safe anyways.
  19. If they had gotten him off the field faster that line drive by Blanco definitely would've found a hole.
