  1. What's up with the stupid 6 pm start times during the week?
  2. Fox Sports San Diego has the best Keys to the Game ever and I'm being completely serious because every Keys to the Game I've ever seen is incredibly stupid.
  3. Well he did waste money that could have gone to something else. Maybe an overslot deal in the draft or international free agency for a prospect we really liked that we would be okay paying a fine for. Things like this add up and people will rightly question it when it was completely unnecessary.
  4. "We just pissed away over $1 million dollars because we subscribe to the stupid theory that you can't have a lame duck manager because the players won't play the same way they would if he had a multi-year contract."
  5. It's a quote from Something, Something, Something, Dark Side. A little joke at doing an unsafe activity by using that line.
  6. Please spell his name correctly. Typing and driving. My bad. Electrical wires nailed to the ice. That's probably pretty safe, right?
  7. Yeah, I could maybe understand if they said we'll give you the interim job and if it works, we'll hire you and if it doesn't we'll let you have your current job back and find a replacement but just giving him the job seems weird.
  8. I don't think he's baffled. He makes a great point. Hey look we did something! Please keep buying tickets!
  9. Good thing the Brewers added a year to his contract as well. You want wasted money? There's $1 million+.
  10. This almost has to be an outside replacement. If it isn't, why wouldn't they just announce who it is now?
  11. The problems with the team go far beyond the manager and it's weird that they fired him after they won consecutive games for the first time this year and 3 of the last 4 overall.
  12. Segura gets hit in the helmet. Bases loaded, nobody out and Braun grounds into a 5-2-3 DP.
  13. Defense has been really bad the last couple of innings.
  14. Brewers CF Carlos Gomez SS Jean Segura RF Ryan Braun 1B Adam Lind 3B Aramis Ramirez LF Khris Davis 2B Elian Herrera C Martin Maldonado P Jimmy Nelson Cubs CF Dexter Fowler RF Jorge Soler 1B Anthony Rizzo 3B Kris Bryant C Miguel Montero SS Starlin Castro LF Chris Coghlan P Jason Hammel 2B Addison Russell
  15. Agree with this. Oh, we're putting old veterans who for the most part have been terrible on the trade block? Yay, I guess.
  16. Is it bad that I don't mind and actually sort of prefer seeing the Brewers lose right now? I just don't want this team to climb to like 5 games under .500 and within what Attanasio and Melvin consider "striking distance" of the wildcard even though it's not and just keep the status quo.
  17. For the most part I only write in cursive. Just flows much easier without ever having to take the pen off the paper.
  18. Would still be nice to have two solid prospects instead of a $6 million Gerardo Parra.
  19. The Spurs have won less than 50 games four times since the 89-90 season. 91-92 they went 47-35, 92-93 they went 49-33, Robinson got hurt in 96-97 and they tanked for Duncan and they went 37-13 in the lockout season of 98-99. That's it. They've had one losing season in the last 26 years. It sounds to me like you're the definition of a bandwagon fan. Giving up on the team you were a fan of for a team that had success for a few years prior to you becoming a fan that you could see even more sustained long term success with.
  20. Gary Thorne calls Adam Jones' double like a golf shot at the Masters. http://awfulannouncing.com/the-locker/this-is-how-weird-an-mlb-broadcast-with-no-fans-sounds.html/
  21. Bumgarner was the biggest douche in all of it saying with all the contract offers he had he chose to go to the NL. He could have gone to the AL. Blah, blah blah. Bumgarner would be a perfect fit on the Cardinals for the douche factor alone.
  22. Why exactly would we want a soon to be 29 year old corner outfielder?
