    I laughed reading that. Yes, Hughes went from 116 to 110 to 70 to 105 innings before starting full time this year, but the Yankees handled him terribly. If they would've just kept him in the minors instead of sticking him in the bullpen, this could be his second year at least as a full time starter. Rogers is going to be at about 120 innings after the season. Let him start next year in the minors and get about 150 innings and then, assuming he's healthy, he can start 2012 in Milwaukee with a 175-180 inning limit. Jeffress is much tougher. He's going to be at about 50 innings between the minors, majors and AFL. You just hope he can get to 100-115 innings next year and then maybe 150 by 2012. I just hope the team doesn't get desperate in an attempt to "win" next year and they keep Rogers and Jeffress in the big league bullpen when they could be starting in the minors, not accumulating service time and getting ready for more valuable roles when we're actually ready to compete.

    I would retire pretty much every player who played 5+ years for the Brewers over Hoffman. Playing two years for a team in your 20ish year career, no matter what you accomplished in those two years does not warrant retiring a number. Considering Hoffman has a 3.75 ERA and 107 ERA+ as a Brewer, there shouldn't even be consideration. Maybe we should retire Francisco Cordero's #48 someday.

    Count me as shocked that there are 41,000+ there tonight. I expect it to be considerably less tomorrow with the Bears playing at noon and the Packers at 3. Would not be shocked at all with less than 30,000.

    It can't be hitters parks. The only hitters parks are Midland, Springfield and Northwest Arkansas. The rest are neutral or pitchers parks.

    If I were going to side with anyone, I'd probably side with Romanski. They sent Gerut and Estrada home too, while Estrada would have a reason to milk an injury, there was no reason for Gerut to and they were frustrated with him too when there was no reason to doubt him.

    It's also valuable to us. We can't go out and spend a ton, so we have a really good, young player locked up cheaply long term. That's just not something you trade unless you get something like Hellickson, Garza, Jennings and Moore offered for example which would never happen.
