There's not a thread about it because nobody in Milwaukee thinks it's a big deal. If the Giants want to cry about it and bean a player with a pitcher who's lucky to top 86 on a good day, more power to them.
I think the fans show up because of a winning product. If Prince is traded but the Brewers win 95 games, do you think the fans wouldn't show up because Fielder isn't there?
Forgot to mention this, put a band-aid over it. When it happened to me, I hate wearing band-aids so I refused until it got caught on a blanket. Big mistake, so just keep it covered with a band-aid. Just cut the nail as you normally would and it should fall off in about a month. It's going to grow really fast after that. Probably cover around halfway after 2 or 3 weeks and then it will slow down and grow normally again over the next 1-2 months. At least that's how it happened with me.
The new nail just pushes the old nail off. You can't feel it, in fact my nail came off when I was sleeping, didn't even notice it until a few minutes after I got up.
Not exactly the same experience, but I had my toenail shredded by a moving bike tire which ended up being removed with pliers or whatever to get stitches. You'll probably lose the nail, but it doesn't hurt when you do. It just keeps growing and it will eventually push the old nail out to make room for the new nail.
You could easily make the argument that Gomez isn't MLB ready either. That's kind of the point. If you wanted a good defender that wasn't going to hit, why not go with Cain or Schafer?
The Brewers only use the first six hours, but they sold over 95,000 tickets this year compared to 104,000 last year and 98,000 the year before. So it was less, but it's not like they went from 120,000 to 70,000 or something crazy.
Why would you think that? People thought we were reading too much into it last year when the rotation was set for spring and Suppan was scheduled to start opening day and that turned out to be right.
I watch all of MLB/NFL/NHL/NBA when they're on. Simpsons, Family Guy and That '70s Show. The one I've really gotten into lately that I'm kind of embarrassed about is Degrassi: The Next Generation. Ugh, I never got into any other Teen Drama but I get into this one?
