  1. Since when is Miller Park a pitchers park? Edit: Also like the guy saying we need a 4/5 starter. No, we have plenty of those guys (Suppan, McClung, Bush, Villanueva) what we need is a 1/2 starter to replace Sheets and Sabathia (assuming they leave.)

  3. Street had an average fastball of 90.0 this year, down from 90.4 in 2007. A drop, but nothing big. In 2006 his average fastball was 91.7.
  4. I don't really want Street as I think it would cost way too much to acquire him. I'd take a chance on Chavez if we could get rid of Hall's contract in the deal.
  5. He cooled off because he had elbow tendinitis and played through it. I can see where some people think it creates a hole though. If you trade Parra for Peavy you're still going to have a downgrade going from Parra to McClung or Villanueva.
  6. We could buy him out, but that'd be stupid on our part. If there's a trade that comes up near the deadline but we need filler salary and we cut Jones, then we would look pretty stupid.
  7. Walks hurt him. First six starts he averaged 4.78 BB/9. I don't think it was anything other than a few bad starts. He had back to back starts where he gave up 18 earned runs in 7.1 innings.
  8. I saw a scroll go across the bottom of the screen on FSN Wisconsin. I only caugt the "Press conference at 2 PM" part, but I would assume they'll air it.
  9. No way we offer arbitration. Gagne would easily accept it and then we're stuck paying him at least $8 million next year. No way he's going to find an $8 million deal on the open market.
  10. Wouldn't most pitching coaches look good if they were working with Maddux, Smoltz and Glavine? You can't have it both ways here. You say the Orioles had no pitching staff but that he should get credit for having those three with Atlanta.
  11. I don't have Insider, but I'm guessing it talks about that New York newspaper report of Fielder being available for a "substantial offer."
  12. Career .332 minor league OBP and .409 SLG%. Maybe a bench bat, but it's not like Dillon is expensive. Seems kind of pointless to me.
  13. A while ago. He did the morning updates on the Doug Russell Show for a while before he got the axe.
  14. I'm not sure. All I know was there was a fight and they had different time slots.
  15. I don't know. He was just the intolerable guy from New York on with the intolerable Gary Ellerson in the afternoon before they had an on-air fight and had to be split up. That's why they have "The Big Show" with Gary, Sparky and that other guy and why Cliff was on in Sparky's old spot.
  16. Once you have the test done it should take you to another page. It says "Your Speed Test Result" on top and right below that is "Share Your Result." Copy the url in the direct link and then put it in the image thing from here.
  17. I certainly hope you got some free stuff for switching to them. I got six free months of the U-400 package when I first got it.
  18. http://www.speedtest.net/result/346207556.png Don't know what package you got for U-Verse Brian, but they've upgraded to the top internet service for everybody until November 10th.
  19. Wilson had 41 saves last year for a terrible team. He also had a 4.62 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and gave up a hit per inning. Taveras had 68 steals last year, but did only post a .308 obp. Right, our problem on offense is OBP. Adding a guy who sucks at getting on base isn't going to help our offense. Your point about atkins is valid but I would say most players play better at home. Yeah, but it's usually not huge splits like Atkins has. Home - .337/.394/.527/.921 Away - .260/.328/.424/.752
  20. Wilson is bad, Taveras is terrible, Atkins can't play defense or hit away from Coors. I don't like it.
  21. Bogut was the 4th best Center in the NBA in RPG, 7th in DRPG, and 7th in Rebounds. Bogut's a very average rebounder. Of course he's going to be towards the top in RPG. He plays a ton of minutes. But overall, he's very average. When does Gadzurich's albatross of a contract finally expire? Three years. The same time Redd's and Jefferson's expire.
  22. Getting flurries in Hartland right now. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  23. Wright .282/.380/.499/.879 Lee .302/.351/.547/.899 Rowand .291/.359/.445/.804 So you could make a case that Burrell, Wright and Lee should all have been ahead of Hart.
  24. Ooh conflicting reports. I like. This manager search just got interesting (only if Haudricourt is right though. If not, this manager search sucks.) http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. 2008 NL Wildcard Winners. Something like that, doesn't have to say champions. Just acknowledge it.
