  1. I didn't even watch the game last night and it pissed me off. No radio either. Stop sucking Brewers!
  2. He's actually walking over 31 per 9 innings in Nashville right now which would be over 3 per inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Slappy is now batting .200 so nobody can use the he has a low batting average! At least he can draw some walks and hit for power. Slappy is worthless to this team, Melvin, get it through your head. Edit: I was just checking out the Reds/Padres highlight on gameday and before Adam Dunn hit his homer in the 9th Matt Vasgersian was talking about Russell Branyan and 3TO. Good stuff. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2008_05_23_cinmlb_sdnmlb_1
  4. It's at .219 right now. Compare that to last year when it was .289.
  5. That 2.55 GO/AO would have me drooling if we had a good infield defense.
  6. Weeks easily. Braun is batting nearly 90 points higher than Weeks yet Weeks' OBP is 13 points higher. Assuming Weeks gets his average up into the .240-.250 range it's not a stretch to assume his OBP will be in the .370-.380 range. For that to happen with Braun he would either need to drastically improve his BB% from now until the end of the year or bat in the .330-.340 range which is very unlikely to happen.
  7. That sums it up. Of course Yost and Maddux won't do that because they love Bush's "bulldog mentality" and the fact that he's a "gritty grinder."
  8. I say you run to Miller Park from Madison. You can stop by me on the way. You then wait hoping that I offer you a ride to Miller Park but I never do as I expect you to run the final 22.3 miles. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  9. I really can't see any of them but if I had to guess it would be the NFL as a kicker. Next would be the NHL as a goalie only. The speed of men's hockey is just so much faster than women's hockey that I couldn't see a woman forward keeping up with the speed. Last would be MLB. I just couldn't see what position would be played. Not enough speed on the pitches to be a pitcher yet not strong enough with the bat to get any playing time.
  10. I went camping up there once. My dad lives about 20 minutes away. It was a pretty good time.
  11. I love our management. You have Russell Branyan raking down in AAA and a struggling right handed hitter, so you put 2 and 2 together and it means platoon the struggling righty with a hitter who just flat out sucks altogether. Even if you don't like Branyan at all you can't debate the fact that he would give us more than Craig Counsell.
  12. I don't know about your kids or anything but going to a museum on the weekend was one of the last things I wanted to do when I was a kid. A field trip to get out of school, sure, not on the weekend though.
  13. I agree with you. His walk rate has been pretty terrible in the majors. It's great that he's hitting about .300 right now but it's pretty terrible that his OBP is only .323. That needs to improve if he wants to be an elite hitter.
  14. What? No. Sheets doesn't know how to win. He's not a winner, I mean look at 2004. He posted a 2.70 ERA and still only went 12-14. He's a career loser. Sarcasm.
  15. Is Ned trying to get us to roll with a Suppan, Bush, McClung or Weaver, Villanueva and Parra rotation?
  16. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I get to wear the same socks today. I'm also hoping to grow a beard. Please Brewers, make it happen. Even though beards are annoying.

  18. If we're on a winning streak I wear the same socks and don't shave.
  19. If we're on a winning streak I wear the same socks and don't shave.
  20. This is probably going to be a start for Villanueva anyways when McClung lasts three innings and walks about a million.
  21. Westbrook or Randolph please. No Augustin. Why do people want another PG who can't play defense and shoots a lot?
  22. no, my idea is to improve the pitching and defense dramatically Your idea is to improve the defense yet you have Gamel in the lineup? That makes no sense to me. I also don't think Blanton would improve the pitching by a lot. He allows over a hit per inning, his career road ERA is 4.60 with a 1.41 WHIP and he doesn't have much upside already being 27. Street is nice, but he's a reliever who has had injury issues. While losing Fielder should be a big hit, the other two should be fairly large improvements based on minor league performance. You can't base their minor league performance and just project it to the majors. For all you know Brantley could hit like Felix Pie has so far in his career and Gamel could bat like Alex Gordon did last year. Again, a 24 year old slugger who was the youngest player ever to hit 50 homeruns is worth more than a 27 year old #3 starter and a closer with an injury history.
