  1. Would we be in a better position now if Stearns made no signings or trades after the 2019 season?
  2. He's barely a major league player. He's a major leaguer because he's our only option. He'd be in the minors if we had any halfway decent option.
  3. If the plate is where his hand first hits the ground he's safe. If it's not, he's out. I didn't see any angle where you could tell.
  4. He's also a 28 year old rookie who has earned nothing so far. If he manages to get to arbitration that homer is going to look a lot better than a walk or just standing there and letting the position player get you out. Tim Anderson without actually saying it basically told LaRussa to get bent, which is great.
  5. If only that was his only weakness. There's also fastballs down the middle, breaking balls anywhere but especially low and away. You know, pitches.
  6. Tony LaRussa is garbage.
  7. I mean, it's about as close as you can come to saying it without explicitly saying it. https://www.ibtimes.com/nolan-arenado-plans-stay-cardinals-opting-out-contract-unlikely-3147184#:~:text=The%20Colorado%20Rockies%20gave%20Arenado,will%20not%20be%20opting%20out. Arenado isn't even the one who pushed for the opt out in his contract, Bridich is.
  8. I still can't believe they charged that error to Urias instead of Wong. The throw was on target, just a little high. Easily something that any 2nd baseman would be able to catch.
  9. Jesse Biddle is like if Rick Vaughn and the pitching version of Rick Ankiel had a baby who didn't know how to throw a baseball.
  10. You're not making a good argument against a trade here.
  11. He already is worse than what we have now.
  12. Had a better at bat than the pinch hitter would've had tbh.
  13. Lauer has given up 5 homers in 9 innings now.
  14. Kind of cheapens the talk of the dead ball and/or humidor.
  15. No, he threw more balls than strikes and generally wasn't even close enough to the zone to get hitters to think about swinging.
  16. Ender is Inciarte is my favorite episode.
  17. That's great if you just ignore one giant piece of the puzzle. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2019/08/08/brewers-trent-grisham-got-career-back-track-returning-unusual-grip/1951914001/ His last 30 games in 2017 he hit .288/.363/.486, went back and had another strong half season at Biloxi and then demolished AAA and got called up. He's hit since he went back to the grip that made him a 1st round pick in the first place.
  18. 100% capacity starting June 25th
