  1. I can think of a couple guys we could jettison off our 40 man roster if we absolutely needed to make room for cheap, talented minor leaguers. Only a couple?
  2. He shouldn't be. Maile is trash. You think they will keep 3 catchers? Both Maile and Nottingham are goners when they get back. If Vogelbach doesn't start hitting soon I think they might think a third catcher who could play 1st is more valuable than a DH who can't hit.
  3. Amazing how easy it is to improve your offense with a league minimum minor league signing.
  4. Biloxi 6th inning. Walk Walk Strikeout Walk Walk Single Sac Fly Walk Walk Walk Walk Walk Walk Hit By Pitch Walk Walk Walk Fly Out 12 runs on 2 hits.
  5. That wasn't bad luck, it was stupid baserunning. I thought the ball hit the dirt, and it looked incredibly close on replay. Maybe McKinney should have been cautious there, but I'll take that gamble considering the benefit of getting to third with one out. There wasn't much benefit considering the pitcher was batting next and say what you want, he's a good hitter for a pitcher but the most likely outcome of that at bat is still a strikeout.
  6. Really? Because it was tied after the 7th inning and tied after the 8th inning and if the Cubs don't score they're going to play *gasp* a 10th inning.
  7. It's AAA and he's not really blocking or taking at bats away from any legitimate prospects so who gives a you know what? And he's a decent hitter, especially in the minors.
  8. He's going to be managing a team in West Virginia.
  9. I regrettably got into a twitter argument with someone that said that since the extension doesn't start until next year, the team doesn't have to pay him. Please link to this. I want to laugh.
  10. What? No, you have to be thinking of someone else. LeBlanc is the epitome of a junkballer.
  11. I also throw with my left hand. Perhaps I shouldn't stray too far from my phone in case the Brewers call? And sorry, those stats are horrible. 11 H/9, 2 HR/9 a 6.23 ERA. Like, what are you even talking about?
  12. A right handed pitcher with a right handed 1st baseman picked you off. I mean that should be an automatic benching/DFA/public shaming.
  13. What would have been better, a little league inside the park grand slam? Walk to score a run and keep the bases loaded with no outs? That, a HBP, a fly ball that allows the runner on 1st to advance too.
  14. Because it's not really worth doing for just the common fan because player values change all the time, teams may think they can make an adjustment to make a player more valuable, there may be a bidding war so a player you think may have a certain value goes for much more. It's completely pointless to use that website as any sort of evaluation tool for a potential trade because of all those things that lead to values being so far off in a ton of cases. Like I'm not even trying hard to make these clearly lopsided trades and ending up within a couple million on it's surplus value scale.
