  1. First pitch after he says looking like a good move to leave Woodruff in instead of going to a pinch hitter, it's a tie game. I would've made the same move to be clear but what a jinx.
  2. Given the way he's played this year, that is something I would've expected JBJ to do. I also wouldn't have been shocked if Cain had left the base early and that turned into a double play.
  3. Levering: I'd say the odds if Cain and Vogelbach reach to start the inning, I'd say the Brewers are going to score at least one run. Brewers offense: We'll bet whatever you want that we don't. At least in this scenario the Brewers offense would be banned from MLB for betting.
  4. I could think of a lot of things you could do with a bat that would screw up a wet dream, so that probably wasn't the best thing to name.
  5. I think he was screwed no matter what he did. Blame the crappy bunt. Nah, you make them not catch the ball and throw it to 2nd. If Woodruff isn't running (he was but stopped when it was caught) then it's on him.
  6. Well, that's half your positions. That's a lot of holes. I get not being concerned too much about CF but I don't know how you're not worried about SS and 3B given that Urias still has shown no sign of being an adequate starting SS and Shaw is much more suited to a bench role. I wish I could have set up conversations about my report card this way. Yeah, math and English suck but look at science and social studies.
  7. What starting spot did you think he was being handed when signed? Competing for the starting spot of the $10 million corner OF that Stearns signed that also didn't hit which is probably why Stearns felt the need to spend a ton of money on Bradley in the first place.
  8. Stearns projected them as starters. Your point? He filled holes left by guys leaving in free agency for cheap for a single season. He didn't mortgage the future of the team when there was not really anyone to grab. Not only that but it was a covid year so in hindsight, it turned out to be a great thing for the Brewers. The whining some fans do amazes me when most won't look at the full picture. You said he filled the roster with journeymen but those journeymen were starters for us. That is not great. Wonderful that he didn't mortgage the future but he paid for some real garbage last year, which is kind of what we're discussing.
  9. Stearns projected them as starters.
  10. This guy has a .628 career OPS. Vogelbach, in the worst year of his career has a .632 OPS but Vogelbach costs $5 million less. We shouldn't even consider this guy for any position. Pretty clearly not a major league player.
  11. Yeah, Yelich looks exactly like the guy from 2020. I know, small sample. Blah, blah, blah. I mean, yeah, the power hasn't been there yet, but Yelich is hitting .350 this year in the games he's played. With a team struggling to get runners on base, I'd take that. He has a .571 BABIP (not happening over a full season, he'd be lucky to keep it at .400) and striking out over 30% of the time just like last season. I stand by my statement.
