  1. And he's tanking so bad it's not even like we can use him as part of a package in a trade to get some all-star hitter. Like this winter you could've reasonably said he was great in 2019, not so great last year but look at the upside. Now it's like this guy is so lost we might give you some sort of reliever or utility infielder or something and see if we can salvage something.
  2. Would not hate it if we DFA'd Garcia when Yelich and Cain are back.
  3. That should be an unearned run. No one scores that inning if McKinney plays that like a semi-competent outfielder.
  4. At least that double play was bad luck instead of bad hitting.
  5. The dipstick commercial was funny the first few times. The last 1,000 times, not as much.
  6. But you said it isn't true that he was incredibly streaky in 2017-18. That's where you are incorrect. He also put up a pretty terrible .698 OPS in August of his breakout 2017 season. He's always been a streaky hitter, prone to extended slumps. If he doesn't have that .OPS up above .700 by the end of May, then we have an issue. I think most players have "slumps" like that over a month. Shaw's slump is now going over three years.
  7. This isn't really true and even if he was, he never had a month this bad in 2017-18. June 2018: .200/.361/.323/.685 Which is still better than what he's at now.
  8. This isn't really true and even if he was, he never had a month this bad in 2017-18.
  9. He strikes out around a third of the time with men on base. His 15 RBIs are the result of him batting 3rd, 4th or 5th for the vast majority of plate appearances. His .263 OBP and 75 OPS+.
  10. Wish Taylor could get some consistent playing time. I don't know why McKinney is all of a sudden the clear choice to start in Yelich's absence.
  11. Guy is a damn magician. He made $9 million of Mark A's money disappear and all he has to do is do a terrible job of pitching in garbage time.
  12. This is why another starter would've been nice. Anderson couldn't even get through the 60 game season last year without getting hurt and has gone over 100 innings twice in 9 years. It's not great that our 6th and 7th starters are Josh Lindblom and Eric Lauer.
  13. 30% strikeout rate, .280ish OBP and he's not hitting the ball hard. It was worth a shot because our other options were so bad but it was always the most likely scenario that he wouldn't be good.
