  1. Too young to have seen Marques myself (earliest Bucks memory is when they got Sikma), but from my impression it seems like the only thing Allen really has an advantage at is shooting. Ray's probably a better fit offensively with the other four because of the three ball, but Marques is better defensively as a true SF (where Ray/Sid gives you two SG) so I'd probably go with the original MJ. I was interested and looked up Marques' advanced metrics this AM, and espn probably got it wrong. I understand its really hard to compare the 2. Since they played in different eras and Johnson was most often on good teams and Allen was on bad teams it makes it really hard.
  2. espn released its all time starting 5 yesterday, 4 seems to be no brainers: Giannis, Kareen, Big O, and Sir Sid. They picked Ray Allen over Marques Johnson. There was alot of back and forth between my friends last night, and was wondering what you guys thought. I picked Ray Allen, but was too young to see Marques in his prime playing for the bucks, only saw highlights.
  3. maybe, the only thing I can say is that I think he legitimately likes it here. Its very common to see him in the community and he constantly donating his time and money to the community. Nobody knows what he is thinking, including probably Giannis himself at this point. Personally though if he wins a title here and decides to go elsewhere, I'm OK with that.
  4. I think the concern is that the immense pressure he will receive from other superstars in the league that he could join a superteam and dominate the league for 5 years. Lets me honest, Middleton is a nice player, but he is not a superstar. If the season doesn't start up, it will be a shame that the bucks will not have a chance to prove that you can win in Milwaukee. Even if the season starts, with this long layoff, I think its going to be a toss-up on who wins it all. I would fully expect, Giannis will not sign a super-max this summer and wait it out.
  5. looks like becky lynch will be hanging it up due to pregnancy. Her segment was as genuine of a moment as you can have in WWE. Loved Asuka's reaction since she didn't know what was up when she went out there. probably will make a return for a wrestlemania or summer slam in a few years, but likely won't see her for a while. she was always my favorite of the "woman's revolution" Have been watching AEW more often of late with all sports taking a break. I have to admit it is better than Raw or Smackdown consistently, but still think NXT is the top show in the industry. the main event last week between Y2k and some other guy and hardy/omega, was as good of a match you will see on cable TV.
  6. also, Thames WAS on the Dinos, he is signed with the Nationals for the 2020 season. duh I knew that, 53 days of no sports has worn on me.
  7. thames is on the Dinos. I DVR'd their game tomorrow AM. I am guessing though that this will be the same as trying to watch the XFL because you miss the NFL. Yeah its baseball or football, but its not nearly as good as what we are used to.
  8. plus who wants to hang up a banner they didn't earn anyway?
  9. agreed, the packers could have traded up, even if it meant overpaying. For example the saints completely overpaid the packers to move up 2 seasons ago, Packers could have done something like that, but it takes 2 to tango.
  10. its obvious that the packers think that the young guys will step up and funchess will put out in a career make or break season. there are a few free agents out there, but nothing gets me overly excited.
  11. its sad to say, but the pick I'm most excited about was Ruynan. I hope everything works out, and I'll trust the guys who #1 job is on the line if they mess up, and spend 15 hours a day watching tape making the picks, rathen than me we watched a game or 2 every Saturday in the fall and read a few mock drafts.
  12. we need to get Rodgers weapons. I don't care if its WR, TE, offensive line up. if they have a good night tonight, it will soften the blow of the love pick. I'd love to have 2 TE's that have the ability to catch passes rather than are just glorified offensive linemen like Lewis.
  13. I reran the stimulator, got Claypool in the 2nd, and Harrison Bryant in the 3rd. I think that would be fine. wanted to get an OT in the 3rd but nothing much there. Bryant is my 2nd favorite TE in this draft and Claypool is one of the guys I'd hope the packers look at.
  14. I finally caught up the first 2 episodes. Pretty cool to see the old bucks footage from the MECCA. I was a little too young to remember most of the stuff they covered, so it was very interesting.
  15. jsonline opined https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2020/04/23/nfl-draft-our-predictions-green-bay-packers-first-pick/3005841001/ not sure where the Brooks love in the 1st is. I do miss McGinn's journal sentinel draft day coverage he was by far more accurate than anyone else covering the team. I'd be happy with Queen, Murray, Jackson, or Cleveland as the others guessed. Aiyuk too. I do think that the 1st 3 will be gone unless the packers move up though.
  16. I saw that same one too. Most places have him in the 3rd. I can't remember where it was thought. Since the whole draft process after the combine is different, it could make for some more surprising picks than normal. no idea, but its safe to say it will be a different draft than what we typically see.
  17. if the packers really wanted one of the lbs they would have to trade 30+62 to move up to 18 according to the draft value chart. That should give them their choice or also could net them Justin Jefferson, whom I love. It would make more sense though to move down, get a Pittman or Mims and add an extra pick.
  18. full disclosure, I think peter king is a moron https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/04/20/nfl-mock-draft-2020-justin-herbert-tua-tagovailoa-fmia-peter-king/?fbclid=IwAR2Gub6OupMTbBkeR-AX_t2-l8zK5YXqSmYP1UtW6RsZ_3ytFMSmxbJmIac 30. Green Bay—Michael Pittman Jr., wide receiver, USC Professional receiver. Most have him in the second round. But the Packers don’t pick again till 62, and they see a solid but unspectacular disciplined route-runner and competitive 50-50-ball player. “He’s so reliable,” one coach told me Saturday. “He might get lost in a crop of receivers this good, but he shouldn’t. He’ll be a good receiver in the league for a long time.” Speaking of competitive receivers who were a quarterback’s best friend: Jordy Nelson, 6-3, 220 — Michael Pittman, 6-4, 222. (so packers don't have a pick until the late 2nd, so they should draft a 2nd round guy in the 1st)
  19. I’d be ecstatic . I love claypool in the 2nd but it doesn’t seem like he will be around. If they get Kmet in the 2nd and Cepheus in the 4th even better.
  20. agreed on the LB's. Also if Jones or Thomas are there, i'd take them. My guess is that all 4 our gone. so then you could go with Isiah Wilson or Cleveland at OT, then you look at the WR's that could be around; Jefferson, Aiyuk, or Mims. I agree with you that there are so many quality WR's there is no need to reach for a 1st rounder. if all these guys are gone, you can look at Baun or Epenesa, or one of the CB's that are projected to be late 1st's, which don't really fill a need but can help the football team.
  21. It makes more sense to put up a statue in the arena or outside, I give you. The bucks list of retired numbers is an embarrassment. That being said I think the brewers and packers have done a good job about being very selective about doing it atleast.
  22. you need to be in the HOF to have your number retired. Braun won't get in. Yelich is the most logical person to get his number retired here.
  23. I'm assuming by traditional you mean; ILB, WR, or OT? I obviously have had more time to review some mock drafts and simulations and have seem quite regularly that the ones in those positions I like are gone. so i'd accept Baun, Epenesa, Ruiz, Taylor, AJ Terrell, or Shane Lemiuex - they should all be available at 30 or taken just before the packers pick.
  24. My idea: an 8 team tournament between all lottery teams a seeds 8 for the final playoff spot. The other teams can play exhibitions to keep fresh. If you play a few games and let the playoffs begin, teams will play an unbalanced schedule. Not all western conference teams will play every eastern conference team twice, which could affect playoff seedings. Maybe it really doesn't really matter if the nuggets play the bucks twice or if the Celtics play the bucks 4 times and the heat 3, but in close races that could make a difference.
  25. There is some chatter about the packers taking Love at 30. I just don't see it. Rodgers has said he wants to play until he is 40, so there shouldn't be that much urgency to get the QB of the future. That being said, once FA resumes there are some decent backup options that the packers could sign on the cheap that you would atleast have a vet with starting experience on the roster. I did do a mock draft this afternoon on fanspeak, if it turns out this way, I'd be happy. Wish I could have got a WR earlier but this is how It turned out. 30: R1P30 LB KENNETH MURRAY OKLAHOMA 62: R2P30 TE COLE KMET NOTRE DAME 94: R3P30 OT BEN BARTCH ST. JOHN'S (MN) 136: R4P30 WR QUINTEZ CEPHUS WISCONSIN 175: R5P29 G SOLOMON KINDLEY GEORGIA 192: R6P13 C JAKE HANSON OREGON 208: R6P29 LB JOE BACHIE MICHIGAN ST. 209: R6P30 S TANNER MUSE CLEMSON 236: R7P22 WR AARON FULLER WASHINGTON 242: R7P28 DL BRODERICK WASHINGTON JR.
