Right now the brewers have a wonderful situation. Perez is a super sub. Sogard is a good Utility Infielder, Villar and Arcia can start. If Villar struggles they have 2 good options. I have no idea what Walker was looking for to return, but I think their infield is in good shape as of now.
I can't see why the brewers would do this to trade him. They are getting closer and closer to being a contender so there is no sense in trading one of their top 2 starters who is in a team friendly deal for 4 seasons. Especially with Nelson missing "significant time" this season, he will be looked at to lead the pitching staff not be trade bait. It's a joke...since some people on here always think we should trade peole. No matter what. duh should have figured, seemed to ridiculous to be legit
https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2017/10/latest-on-eric-bledsoe-2.html No way I give up Brodgen. He is just as good or better than Bledsoe and has 2 years left on his deal just like Eric. I think the Suns are delusional on his trade value. I read a report that they asked the Cavs for the Nets #1 and Shumpert for Bledsoe.

I am OK with giving up a 1 and Vaughn and another piece, but the bucks should not have to / nor should they give up any member of their core 5 players (Middleton, Giannis, Brogden, Parker, Thon) or their 2 2017 picks.
I am not sure if this source is reliable, but is reporting the bucks offered maker, Monroe and a #1 for Bledsoe. https://clutchpoints.com/bucks-news-milwaukee-offering-thon-maker-greg-monroe-protected-pick-to-suns-for-eric-bledsoe/ this doesn't make any sense, doesn't seem that the bucks would give up maker at this point and have no one inside so doesn't seem to make sense to trade 2 bigs without getting one back.
only fair to start one for Marquette too: 2 big news items over the weekend, Marquette has an exhibition game against UWM on Sunday and #18 overall recruit Quintin Grimes has his official visit this weekend. Would be huge for Marquette. What I have been looking around online for is how involved MU is on Tyler Herro, seems like Kansas and Kentucky are the 2 biggest schools in on him now, but maybe the allure with playing at home and with the Hauser boys will appeal to him.
I understand why MLB and MLBPA would want to expand, but it will be as the risk of their product. Everyone knows there are not enough MLB quality pitchers to staff 30 MLB pitching staffs, much less 32. Secondly besides being able to see out a baseball game every spring Montreal has done nothing to deserve getting a new team. With San Antonio getting AAA baseball after next season, I don't see them being an option unless that team is moved elsewhere. Portland is very intriguing as the Blazers are well supported. Personally I'd rather go to Mexico City rather than Montreal if they are truly desperate to add 2 teams. Charlotte would be a good option too
He left Wisconsin because he knew he was on the way out and took the 1st major job offered to him. Oregon State is not a great job but is in a great conference. Sort of like Buzz taking the Va Tech job, which he though is turning around. Anderson was frustrated with the academic standards and coaching salaries. I never though OSU being that tough of a school to get into as compared to UW.
With the season starting tomorrow, I am interested in seeing how everyone thinks the season will pan out: I am prediction 49 wins and a 4th seed in the east. I think the biggest thing going for the bucks (besides having Giannis) is that the bucks have had little turnover while Cleveland and Boston will take some time to gel as a team and figure out how to run their offense to keep everyone happy. Cleveland, Boston, Toronto, Milwaukee and Washington should be competing for home court in the 1st round. I think the 16 year old not winning a playoff series streak ends this season.
let him go restricted. he is only going to play the 2nd half of the season. I can't see giving him a Embid like extension unitl he proves what he can do. If nothing else it lets the market decide his worth and then the bucks can decide how valuable he is.
I know RJ is the rumor as the 15th guy, but a guy a really liked coming out of college is apparently available https://clutchpoints.com/grizzlies-news-memphis-waive-trade-wade-baldwin-iv-deadline/ I would trade a 2nd for him. There wouldn't be salary cap issues with this. I know the bucks need a 2 or than a 1, so I don't see it happening anyway.
I would think it would be the triple a team as that has been the brewers biggest Achilles' heel. That being said if it happens it would probably go down like Carolina did. Brewers will have to wait for their PDC to expire after the 2018 season and try to link up with a team that is interested in selling and try to buy after the 2018 season. Judging on how things went the last 2 times the brewers needed a new affiliate i am not holding my breath. That being said it seems to be clear ownership knows this is a problem and is willing to use resources to fix. Im OK with having another low payroll in 2018 if that means triple A is stabilized and the brewers continue to focus on international signings.
Personally I hope if they are going to do this again it’s a triple a team. I really would hope the brewers avoid a pcl or California league team. Most clubs in double a seem fair so I would be less worried about other options if Biloxi moves on. That being said I hope they don’t seems like s good relationship minus s small stadium and attendance which I really don’t care about. Just want a good environment for players to develop.
that would mean getting a new affiliate for 2019, and 2020 and then trying to get New Orleans, which history has shown its very hard since most PDC's are renewed before the brewers can start talking to clubs. I would hope that the brewers focus on a stable triple a affiliate in an environment that would allow the brewers to develop their top minor leaguers and not worry about if its a 4 hour plane ride or a 2 hour drive to bring up a player.
Brewers under contract in Biloxi and Appleton until after 2020. Not guaranteed that the brewers will move rookie ball to Colorado Springs as that PDA is up after next season, but seems like a good chance. You are correct on triple A ball. Most likely outcome is Fresno.
great news to start the offseason https://brewers.mlblogs.com/brewers-finalize-purchase-of-carolina-mudcats-11071894a9eb brewers can now focus on finding a AAA affiliate next fall and have a solid spot for many years in high A
