  1. yes every owner meddles, the issue is that there are 3 of them and they are not agreeing. i think its fine for a owner to bring in the GM he wants. the issue is that 2 owners wanted Zanik, Edens didn't and (most likely) used his governorship to block the move. This is were its different between the brewers and bucks. If Sterns wants to make a move, he calls Mark A and gets yes or no. If Horst wants to make a move, he basically needs to get 3 owners to agree in short order.
  2. i would assume that he is referring to the arms race between 4 teams in the NBA that has effectively eliminated all teams but the cavs, rockets, warriors, and celtics from going to the finals this season. there was already an artical on espn today about teams plotting on luring Giannis 3 years from now. Plus while TV ratings were good for the finals, this was the worst NBA playoffs in recent memory.
  3. well they would have to shed salary no matter. I am not worried about that, i just think that he is a cancer who contributes little and would insist on hogging the ball instead of feeding Giannis, Parker, Middleton etc. He went to the knicks last season and was talking about making the knicks a superteam and it was a complete disaster. wasn't entirely his fault, but he didn't help at all.
  4. WHY would they even take this meeting, he is a cancer to a young team. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2017/07/bucks-meeting-with-derrick-rose.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook
  5. i don't care about that. Brown and Thornwell were both earmarked as 2nd round sleepers. Brown could be this years Brogdon and then nobody would care. i just would rather have 2 2nd round picks, especially with the expanded roster and the D-league team, it would make sense to see if either one can play rather than just one. Just like last year, would have been nice to have McCaw and Brogdon. i read that the bucks are looking at Ben McElmore, id rather have Thornwell at a rookie deal that Ben at probably 12 million. I think he would get paid as much as Snell. regarding Snell, i like him, i just HATE signing players who doesn't do anything on his rookie deal and then pays well the year before free agency hits. Its why i don't care for the Perry signing for the Packers. Larry Sanders, is another example. This isn't as bad as giving Plumlee the cash last year, but it could bite them. last year he was a much needed shooter and defensive presence, so the signing may be OK.
  6. Same garbage as McCaw last who the bucks could have used and not had to trade for or sign snell. It may be an ok signing at least up front. I just wish the bucks would let him sign elsewhere and decide if they want to match rather than treating him he is unrestricted.
  7. New GM, same old story. Bucks sign snell to 4 year 46 million dollar deal, 44 guaranteed. I HATE signing restricted free agents without letting the market decide their worth. Every time they do it the bucks regret it.
  8. nothing really, looking at his game logs though he only pitched twice since june 8th (was he hurt?) and his outing on june 8th he gave up 6 runs in 2/3rds of an inning.
  9. I'm not, although there is a few relievers i would have removed from the 25 man first, but i guess they figured Cravy could slip through waivers easiest
  10. well considering that this keeps the 40th roster spot open, maybe another move is coming soon.
  11. yes depressing, i was not aware that Wes Edens was the bucks "governor" and had final say in all matters, and in 2 more years, Lasry will have his 5 year term. i think a buyout will happen within the next few seasons, this team cannot function with its current structure.
  12. pretty interesting article on the bucks GM search http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/page/presents-19767339/zach-lowe-brian-windhorst-milwaukee-bucks-ownership-giannis-antetokounmpo-nba
  13. honestly i forgot about Woody, i haven't heard about his progress but i'd love to get him some starts in Anderson's absence. I'm slowly coming around to the idea of letting Hader start, especially if you have Espino to back him up to not totally drain the pen on his days.
  14. if the brewers weren't in 1st, i would say fine let Hader start. but they need to put out their best option to win every day and not just put Hader out there to give him a shot. Maybe Espino struggles and then maybe Hader would be the best option, or maybe Blazek would be next in line. i'm not sure. I am OK with Espino though for now.
  15. i am a little surprised by this since he was just recently moved over there. thought it made more sense to bring up Wang, although this way they don't have to add anyone to the 40, so i get it. i would hope Espino is moved to the rotation for now, instead of Hader, which i am sure what fans will clamor for.
  16. well i think the issue is that he has much more potential for improvement if he really is 20 and not 24.Its why seniors are never drafted in the 1st round of the nBA draft. if he came out as a 23 year old he wouldn't have been taken 10th or even in the 1st round.
  17. I bet they keep Franklin for now and go back to 12 pitchers. Either Suter or Espino will return to AAA with Brinson to make room for Braun and Villar. what purpose does he serve?, id rather see thames in the OF and let vogt and aguilar share time at 1st then let Franklin on the roster.
  18. I think bandy goes down them Franklin can be dfa'd and Brinson sent down once villar and Braun returns
  19. this is the first one that i saw, i agree with it mostly, but don't think Phillips and Clark fell off so quickly, maybe id switch out Clark for Peralta and would move Phillips up a bit. I think Hiura fits in nicely and correctly at 5. from bleacher report 1) brinson 2) ray 3) hader 4) diaz 5) hiura 6) ortiz 7 woody 8) dubon 9) phillips 10) peralta. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2715921-ranking-all-30-mlb-farm-systems-post-2017-mlb-draft
  20. i worry about those type of players though. its similar to taking a player because they had a great combine, it rarely works. i would feel better if he simply had a great season last year not just a big conference and NCAA tournament.
  21. im kind of surprised that Koenig is getting one of the bucks two 2 way contracts. I know he is a great shooter, but i don't see much else on the next level. i thought of him as an OK d-league option but not one of their only 2 two way players. http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nba/bucks/2017/06/23/report-koenig-expected-sign-two-way-deal-bucks/421260001/?from=global&sessionKey=&autologin=
  22. i wish the bucks would have drafted a more bulky inside player. you can have all of the stretchy 4s you want, but you needed someone like Bam or Allen as an enforcer inside. I think it makes sense to bring in local kids to the G-league, i hope they get Fischer too, but all of these players could make way more money overseas so we shall see.
  23. he was traded to the clippers though.
  24. seems to me that the bucks had a pretty similar draft as last year. got a tall, thin lanky 4 in the 1st and a 3&D guard senior guard in the 2nd. I hope it works out and I don't hate the Wilson pick as much this AM as i did last night.
