  1. its just one start, my thought it was Paola is older and could handle making his MLB debut at Wrigley better than Woodruff or Hader.
  2. I thought Junior was making one more start in Biloxi?
  3. CC just announced Wily to the pen, so one would assume that Espino will be up to bridge the gap between now and the time Guerra is ready to join the team.
  4. From Adam McCalvy " Why didn't Paolo Espino pitch as scheduled today? After asking around, I think this falls into the category of "stay tuned." If he is coming up to Milwaukee, i wonder where he would go. I don't see a rotation spot for him, and i can't see him pitching long relief. Maybe there was more to the Marinez DFA than I thought.
  5. funny that you mention that, i was just going to post this, looks like there is another Thon Maker in this years draft. anyone not think this isn't going to be the pick: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Isaiah-Hartenstein-81574/
  6. i think its as simple as Marinez has not been as good as last year and they wanted a lefty on the staff.
  7. 1) if the brewers were going to bring up one of the 3 prospects we talked about and not play them, there is no point. 2) maybe the brewers want to have these players stay in CS and hopefully be in a pennant race all season. only possible reasons for this move
  8. Eric Sogard is coming up, ugh.
  9. also as you said there is no arm deserving of a roster spot that is on the 40 man, if you say Cravy his ERA is 5.06 right now. but he would be the only logical one. A case could be made on performance alone for Phillips, Brinson, Cooper, Cordell or Wren.
  10. they have no bench as it is, i can't see it. that would mean 3 bench players. i would be shocked.
  11. #1, they have 2 open spots that aren't being used #2, for whatever reason, Counsell loves him. personally i'd rather see a mid-tier prospect like the 2 mentioned about (everyone knows Brinson is not going anywhere) to see what they can do in MLB (both are doing great in the rarefied air in CS)
  12. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/05/injury-notes-liriano-story-maeda-braun-red-sox.html Personally I hope that if he does go on the DL they replace him with Cordell or Phillips, rather than Wren or Nieuwenhuis (who is the most likely)
  13. there is no evidence that the brewers will be able to flip Feliz no matter how many saves he has at the deadline. Last season the brewers had the NL HR champ on a cheap 1 year deal that they got from the scrap heap just like Feliz and wasn't able to get ANYTHING for him. I know teams will start trying to inquire about relievers in July but given rate that he gives up HR's, not just this season but in his career, why would a team want to bring him into a playoff race. Last season, even after the Pirates traded their closer, they gave the ball in the 9th to someone else, and he was having a pretty decent season last year.
  14. i do not like to overact to closers, but i think it would be smart to let Feliz pitch it low-leverage situations, promote Knebel to the closer, let barnes set up and see what happens.
  15. seems like more of a clubhouse cancer rather than a vet than can help. no thanks
  16. Koenig is done, he can probably make decent money overseas but i can't see an NBA future for him. regarding the bucks, i think they have to assume Rashard Vaughn is done, i would look and a Luke Kennard in the 1st and then see if you can get this years Malcom Brogden in Josh Hart in the 2nd.
  17. probably the best sports writer the journal sentinel has ever had, with respect to not only his writing, but his connections.
  18. Overall i am happy, TT knew he had to address the defense after the NFC championship and he did. my favorite 2 picks of the weekend are Aaron Jones and Vince Biegel.
  19. I am OK with both picks, i wonder if Kamara could fall to the pack in the 3rd?
  20. I HOPE we somehow finish the day with a CB, RB, and either a guard or a pass rusher. I'll take a stab at how they accomplish this: 33 - Quincy Wilson (50% this gets traded which puts a wretch in the plan) I do like King, but i don't think Ted thought that Wilson would be around at 29 or 33. 60 - D'Onta Foremen 93- Kendell Beckwith
  21. what a comeback last night, i think overall they made great strides this season. i think the one thing that is painfully obvious is that the bucks need to add a shooter in the draft or free agency / trade. looking at early mock drafts on who could be around i'm looking at Luke Kennard as a good draft pick that could be around at 17.
  22. there are good players on the board that can help the packers this season, i wouldn't take that deal from the pats, with the possibility that you will only pick one spot higher in 2018. I would be fine if the packers moved down to the mid to late 30's to get a 3rd or 4th this season, though.
  23. from what team? i would from the browns but not the patriots.
  24. I think King will be the pick, but am hoping for Cook. I wouldn't mind trading down because there is about 5 players i wouldn't mind them taking, so if they can add another 4th round pick, i would be OK with that too. King, Cook, Lamp, Mixon, Wilson
  25. its not horrible if you didn't throw all of that money at glennon and you didn't have to trade up to get him, but as it stands thats a horrible pick.
