  1. i am intrigued by Adell, but i hope it a position player at 9 and at 34 or 46. The cubs built up their team by drafting position players well in the 1st round and then acquiring pitchers via trade / free agency. i like this route.
  2. Mortell, i agree they should bring him in. All that i read about Vogel was that he had a terrible combine which cost him being drafted so you need to bring in competition. I wouldn't be suprised if the packers brought in a veteran at the end of the preseason anyway.
  3. i would DFA franklin but not Peralta. I would stop pitching him in high leverage situations though.
  4. I know Stefanski was a candidate for the assistant GM position and worked with Kidd and Thorn in NJ. not sure who the other guys are. http://www.brewhoop.com/2017/5/30/15716970/report-milwaukee-bucks-call-for-permission-on-several-different-gm-candidates
  5. i'm not sure how far you want to travel, but Galena IL is the Door County of Illinois. Its about a 3 hour drive from Milwaukee.

  7. I normally get all of my NBA draft information from nbadraft.net. it is a great website, albeit very outdated. Checked out the ringers NBA draft coverage this AM and its very good. I know the website is rather new and I am not the biggest Bill Simmons guy, but he does hire good writers. http://nbadraft.theringer.com
  8. I think considering the fact that it has been almost a month since his last HR and besides a really great couple games against the Reds he has been nothing special, I think a DL stint wouldn't be the worst thing. I doubt it would be Cooper, and most likely Phillips, Brinson, or Cordell. With Braun gone they really need coverage in the OF, if they really need someone else to play 1st, Shaw can and the brewers have plenty of options at 3rd - Sogard, Franklin, Perez. What would be really nice is if you DFA Franklin as many have suggested and bring up someone like Wren as a backup OF and one of the top prospects to play everyday. You don't mind a player like Wren sitting on the bench since he isn't in the long term future and is older.
  9. don't we have enough threads about this, yes he lied about PED's, Also the contract he signed was under false pretenses. fine, its in the past. i am hardly a Braun sympathizer or a hater, i just want him to do well (like every other brewer). can't we just use this to speculate on the corresponding roster move or even how to move on without Braun in the near future.
  10. i hope it isn't just a Guerra for Braun transaction. Depending on Pina's availability they could have a 3 person bench then.
  11. Gery Woefel was reporting that Zanik's contract calls out that if he is not the next GM he will make as much as the next GM, seems like thats a good sign that he will be the man. http://hoopshype.com/rumor/1115742/ i also do not see the desire to hire Griffin, he wouldn't be anywhere without LeBron. He was gifted the #1 pick to use to acquire Love and his big coaching hire was Blatt. looks like Lue was a good choice, but he was simply an assistant that was promoted.
  12. While i am happy that they are not just limiting themselves to Zanik, http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19453220/milwaukee-bucks-launch-full-search-new-general-manager ESPN floated the idea of David Griffin, but i can't see it, since he couldnt' be drafted until days before the draft and why would he leave cleveland for milwaukee, until ownership backs up the brinks truck. http://larrybrownsports.com/basketball/david-griffin-candidate-bucks-gm-job/371380
  13. i never said Hammond was perfect, and hasn't exactly killed it at Free agency signings. He did draft Giannis, Thon, and Bragdon though and proved to be very good about erasing his free agency mistakes.
  14. My guess is they'll promote from within. they have a GM in waiting, who was set to take over in the 18-19 season anyway. my concern is that Billy McKinney and Dave Babcock follow John to Orlando, which really puts the bucks behind the 8 ball for next months draft.
  15. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2017/05/magic-expected-to-add-john-hammond-as-gm.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook When Weltman was hired, i was worried this was going to happen. Say what you want about Hammond, for the most part he was a good drafter and when he made free agent mistakes he always seemed to be able to fix them and come out of them OK. i hope McKinney isn't leaving too.
  16. my biggest issue with Jinder Mahal is that the Singh brothers cannot be taken seriously as goons for Jinder. did you see how orton threw one of them like a rag doll on the PPV and any NXT fan saw them as the Bollywood boys. I agree that he has had a dramatic body change, which is why Im sure why he is getting a massive push from Vince besides the reason that the WWE network has recently been added to India. I agree that he will drop the belt by atleast the next smackdown ppv.
  17. nice, anyone else see backlash last night? I was shocked that they put the belt on Jinder Mahal. I am going to assume that orton will win the belt back in short order once he has his rematch. Other than that the show was pretty meh besides KO vs AJ which was by far the match of the night. Takeover was much better, really enjoyed the Roode match as well as DIY vs AOP. Even though smackdown is way better than RAW somehow it still pails in comparison to NXT, even though they pretty much raided that promotion during the superstar shackup.
  18. *The parking lots open up at 10am, will you be tailgating? If not there are plenty of bars in the neighborhood where you can grab lunch and take a bus to and from the game https://onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/millerparkshuttles.html *The gates to the stadium opens up at 1130 and you can grab food inside the stadium. the food is very good and the new concession stands are pretty good, but of course if its your first time you got to get a brat with stadium sauce. *the fan zone on the 3rd base field level is the largest concession stand and has anything you could possibly want. its very expensive though, if you are looking to purchase alot of items, id look at a kohls in the area. they have a good selection at much cheaper cost. * where will you be staying, downtown?. i could recommend places nearby then.
  19. Favorite:Franklin. Next in line: Sogard. Darkhorse: Feliz. Franklin isn't going anywhere until Braun and Thames are back 100% at the very earliest. Suter would be the favorite over those 3. Also i think (hope) that they keep Sogard around for a little bit. I wasn't a fan of his promotion but have been pleasantly surprised with his IF versatility in the wake of injuries as well as his production. With Villar struggling he is good to keep around.
  20. still don't think one had to do with the other, i think peralta had another bad outing they had to do something. wonder what the corresponding move will be, im assuming suter is going back down, but who knows?
