  1. i saw yesterday that only 2 players last season didn't sign that were drafted in the top 10 rounds. teams know who they can sign and for about how much before this process starts. They know if a player is going to require overslot, under, or at. I am no MLB draft expert, but i have learned that you need to look at the top 10 as a hole, since its a giant puzzle and not based on best player available at each pick in all 10 rounds.
  2. i won't judge the pick until the end of the night, pick reminds me of Mat LaPorta, in as he was a great hitter that came out of nowhere.
  3. 1.9 Adell, sticking with my pick.
  4. they can't bring him up unless there is an injury for 10 days (not 100% sure of the number, but someone will know). i just know there is a time required between callups for the same player. as others have said, i am way past the point of Feliz needs to be DFA'd. I am getting close on Peralta. I also would be fine with removing Franklin and Rivera off of the 40 man, so thats 4 easy. I wouldn't bring in Woodruff to just hang out in the pen though.
  5. as always i hope he doesn't sit.i am not sure there is a plan to get Phillips and Brinson consistent At Bats
  6. recently it has been ok though, Manning , Baez and Happ.
  7. more likely John Mozeliak fired, i would think.
  8. really read up on the draft this week. my feelings is that the brewers could go 2 ways based on what SHOULD be there at 9, a college pitcher like Fraedo, Peterson, or Baukauskas or a high school hitter like Adell or Beck. My read is that the pitchers project as middle of the rotation guys, while the hitters have huge potential. I believe at 9 you should get better of a pitcher that has a ceiling of a middle of the rotation guy. Similar to the bucks taking Giannis or Thon, the brewers should get whoever they think CAN be an allstar not just a starter in the league so i am going with Adell or Beck.
  9. i saw the arena seats 3500, i think they will do well. their market is families in the fox valley who don't want to spend the money or time to travel to Milwaukee to see the Bucks. Think Wisconsin T-rats vs brewers. I could see them averaging 2K a game. It would be nice (and smart) for the Herd to bring in some Wisconsin college players that fans would know on their team.
  10. or Wisconsin Whitetails
  11. NBDL team is the Wisconsin Herd. i am neutral on this. I appreciate that they just didn't re-use bucks and picked a name that was close though. I though wish they would have picked something original. I guess I am happy that they didn't pick something crazy that screams minor leagues (see fort wayne mad ants) I wanted the Fox Valley Flyers
  12. https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-bucks-three-gm-candidates-030009406.html If it is between Karnisovas, Wilcox, and Zanik, i hope they just go with Zanik. I really don't want anything to do with Wilcox and i am intrigued with Karnisovas as Denver has assembled some good young talent but still seems like a question mark. Seems like this whole process was pointless and could have just angered Zanik.
  13. in that scenario i agree with your selection.
  14. this is where things get interesting, the A's could go multiple ways, but I see them taking Sonny Gray 2.0 1.6 JB Bukauskas
  15. well the rules makes it a little harder, but i would have drafted Brinson instead of Roache. honorary mention: Gray over Bradley.
  16. Shot in the a dark, I have an extra iron man bobble from yesterday's game and wondering if someone has an extra pullover from today's game size XL to trade
  17. Dyson has been way worse than Peralta. I wouldn't do that. I still think Peralta has something there. Remember that afternoon game against the cubs the 1st game after he was moved to the pen. I still would be OK if Drake or Hughes was DFA'd for Suter though.
  18. i would be happy with that Patrick. I like the idea of drafting a high upside position player at 9 and a college pitcher at 34. I wonder if the brewers will back away from Schmidt though after drafting Kirby though
  19. technically Arcia wasn't drafted but was an international free agent. I think it is fair to say that the currently the brewers have done much better developing other peoples prospects from trade rather than there own. Currently only 16 / 30 on MLB pipelines top 30 are home grown, and the position players that were drafted by milwaukee on the top of the list are early in their development (Ray, Clark, Erceg)
  20. no, a quick search showed 2 years in the minors, drafted in 1999, debut in 2001. if i remember right, he made his debut out of spring training against the braves?
