  1. i have a feeling that this is going to drag on until next weekend so they can announce at on deck like they did for garza, which is silly since its not a game changing signing by any means.
  2. Hopefully Cobb can have another game like last week with no Jordy
  3. I think this is a hard one for a few reasons 1) better home field advantage in Seattle 2) Rodgers always seems to play better in domes that being said the packers secondary is banged up and i would rather put the GB defense up against Seattle than Atlanta, so its a close call.
  4. sorry to hijack this thread, but interesting article on the future of the GM position in the paper http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/mcginn/2017/01/12/mcginn-dorsey-ideal-option-next-packers-gm/96489822/?from=global&sessionKey=&autologin= i thought John Dorsey was no longer contract after this season, apparently its not until after the 2018 draft, just like Thompson. wouldn't is be very risky to let the internal candidates get GM positions (Ball, Gutekunst, Wolf) on the hope that Dorsey doesn't extend his contract in KC and wants to go back to GM, Very risky.
  5. besides Romo / Holland, there is nobody else available that i would want
  6. in the past all designs were voted on by the fans, this year there is only 1 game that is voted on by the fans and the new feature is that this one is fan designed.
  7. i think it has to be more that he knows the market for relievers, especially at the trade deadline and he think he can get it.
  8. i have one from 2014 that i would part with for a brewer bobble that i don't have
  9. the rumors that the packers could get john dorsey to replace thompson would be awesome. if that doesn't work out, i'd look into to see if John Schneider would come to green bay, i believe Seattle cannot forbid him from interviewing since he is under Pete Carrol technically. I'm all for Elliot Wolf, but if the packers can get a proven commodity they should go that route and let Wolf go to San Francisco.
  10. what would bucks fans think of this trade bucks get brook lopez, 2017 2nd round pick nets get 2 1st round picks, greg monroe That is the price that the nets want and the bucks should be picking towards the back of the next 2 drafts, nets should be picking near the top of the 2nd round next year
  11. seems pretty reasonable as a closer option / reclamation project. not sure how much the brewers were in on him, but both organizations have a pretty clear path to the closers job if he has a good spring. interesting to see that there is a 500k bonus if he is traded though.
  12. i try to park by the Hilton / WE energies building when attending games downtown. seems like there is usually parking averrable and yes no meters after 6.
  13. i agree seems like a terrible business decision, all of those bars on blue mound are all competing for the same dollar. its not like its water street with a guaranteed customer base (close to 2 major universities). You ultimately want to try to appear to the most amount of people, and playing that song is not going to do that.
  14. I would think this means a move is coming up soon but maybe they just tried to sneak him through waivers during the holidays to add triple a depth. I never thought his numbers warranted a 25 man roster spot.
  15. i am fine with moving him because I am not 100% sure that he will not regress to his 1st half of last season stats. that being said a team would have to blow DS away with an offer. they are probably a year away from Brinson playing every day in center and have plenty of CF depth in the pipeline.
  16. baseball america's top 10 brewer prospects are released tomorrow, will be interesting to see how we match up to BA
  17. i agree with you somewhat, i do feel that the bucks hit the jackpot with Giannis and then drafted the youngest player in the draft the last 2 seasons, with minimal success. If he grows into his body, maintains his 3 point ability, and can play inside, we may have something. Right now the bucks can be patient with Maker as they have plenty of big guys to rotate in and out as well.
  18. Parker is coming around, people forget that he and Giannis are only 21. The team is playing better than expectations and has an outside chance of a top 4 seed in the east. Giannis is pretty much an all star lock, i agree Brogden will be in the rookie game. My only complaint is still what i said on draft day, bucks should have drafted Sabonis over Maker.
  19. Not necessarily I could see Peralta or Garza starting in the pen or DFA'd in the spring
  20. my idea of a franchise hitter and ace pitcher is one that is consistently top 5 MVP / CY young consideration. Players like Villar and Davies are nice players, and maybe will play in an all star game, but are not players that you build the franchise around. The brewers haven't had that since young Ryan Braun and there is nobody in the organization that fits the bill at this moment.
  21. i did enjoy the Metallica and pretty reckless albums, even though its not exactly my favorite genre of music.
  22. i didn't read through everything here, but the obvious answer is to suck for a season, get lucky and get a great talent. The cubs were fornuate to be really bad and have some teams pass up for monetary purposes pass on Bryant and Schwarber. last year was supposed to be the great tank and the brewers ended up picking 9th, which will make it more hard to get an elite propsect.
  23. Just finished my rankings: 1) Chance the Rapper - Coloring Book 2) Sturgill Simpson - The Sailors Guide to Earth 3) Frightened Rabbits - Paintings of Heart Attack 4) The Head and the Heart - sings of Light 5) St Paul and the Broken Bones - Sea of Noise 6) Amos Lee - Spirit 7) Michael Kiwanuka - Love and Hate 8) Anderson.Paak - Malibu 9) Mayer Hawthorne - Man About Town 10) Avett Brothers - True Sadness
  24. exactly seems like he is younger version of Maldonado. Susac is a much better offensive catching prospect and would be a better choice to being an everyday catcher.
  25. i do like the idea of Susac starting and Bandy as the younger version of Maldy.
