    i saw a report last night that the WWE is going to get more edgy through wrestlemania which is why there was color at the end of the match and Vince let out a curse word during the first segment. The Shane McMahon vs Taker fight already makes wrestlemania a must see, and could begin a huge shakeup in WWE which is exciting.

    I really wish it was someone with local ties, bringing in guys from outside only means that they will leave and the turnstile of announcers will never stop, which you have guys like Schroeder, Uecker, Paschke, Johnny Mac, they will never leave.

    I like bleacher report because its a place where you can see thoughts of many bloggers / beat writers in one place for my teams, but they are very quick to respond. Everything is graded the second it happens and the site is set up to get as many hits as possible.. The brewers made 9 trades and signed 1 major league free agent, pick your favorite and least favorite. The lucroy trade can be judged when it goes down.

    I am much more excited for this season than i was last season. There are no expectations, many new faces, and a much brighter future.

    Bleacher report predicted the best and worst moves of each team's offseason and I thought it would be fun for brewer fans to make their predictions as well with pitchers and catchers reporting this weekend. Bleacher report reported the Segura trade as the best and not trading Lucroy the worst. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2616776-predicting-every-mlb-teams-best-and-worst-2015-16-offseason-move/page/17 My prediction: best: Segura trade: paved the way for Arcia, acquired a young back of the rotation starter, a top prospect and a stop gap at 3rd, great move. worst: Trading Sardinas for Flores. I say this because I am a fan of almost everything Sterns did. Sardinas would have been an OK fill in until Arcia comes up. The crowded outfield combined with Flores' injury could mean him being put on waivers, since he is out of options. on a side note, not trading Lucroy until you get the right move, cannot be considered a failure, especially since he is under contract for 2 more seasons, so the brewers should be in no rush to move him.

    I also like that this trade opens up a spot on the 40 if one of our 18 NRI players catches fire and makes the 25, which isn't being mentioned at all.

    I would think the OF would probably be Davis, Liriano and Braun, and Broxton and Nieuwenhuis on the bench? I like it

    I understand why the brewers made this trade, but it doesn't make much sense for the athletics. I understand you get a youngish controllable power hitter, but you are nowhere near competing for the AL west crown and you gave up one of the better catching prospects in the game, which there aren't many at all.

    i understand that they only have 1 lefty on their 40 man and this provides some insurance. my point was that in rebuilding, i'd rather let younger people play rather than sign guys in their mid 30's

    i honestly don't understand the reasoning of signing the likes of boyer and cappy, UNLESS its for triple a fodder, which i have no problem with then.

    I'm not a big conspiracy guy, but I'll admit I've been thinking about it. Now that some time has past, the dust has settled, that trade looks even better. Three young pitchers, but not too young to be lottery ticket types. One who could be a #5 type SP, the other two have an even higher upside. A young OF with options who has a real chance to be an every day player, and oh yea, another OF who's ceiling is an All-Star. That's a huge haul for Fiers and Gomez. He was the assistant GM, he didn't have the final say. Luhnow is a smart baseball man and wouldn't make a trade that he didn't think was a good idea. I also would guess that Stearns had no idea he would be the brewers gm when this trade was made. i don't think there is anything to see here. If the brewers made a bad trade with a team that Arnold became the GM of in the following offseason, I would blame Stearns and ownership and not calling a conspiracy.

    i'm late to this party, but how would the original poster like us to get back on track? They are not signing the likes of Zach Greinke. Their minor league system was bare. They tried last season to bring the band back together after the collapse of 2014 and it was a disaster. noone on this board is happy that the team could lose 100 games, but we are realistic in how a team like Milwaukee can complete against the dodgers and its not by outspending them.

    the largest question i have is who plays SS on opening day now? probably Villar if they are determined to start Arcia in AAA. I don't understand the reasoning of getting a 5th starter who isn't that young and Aaron Hill. The only prospect is only 19 and is (hopefully) blocked by Arcia for the next decade. I liked the idea of taking on Hill's salary to get a good prospect, but i don't get this one....

    i don't think this has anything to do with any trade, just taking a chance on a once highly regarded prospect. The brewers won't or shouldn't trade either unless they get a decent offer.

    You're forgetting Nieuwenhuis, who as the sole lefty hitter among the rostered OF, is a favorite to be in CF on opening day. I don't see both Broxton and Liriano on the opening day roster barring a trade. I see them in direct competition for one available spot. I didn't forget him, i figured it would be a mix of Flores, Reed, or Nieuwenhuis. I never figured Nieuwenhuis was much of a player and I only see him as a left handed bat off of the bench, but we shall see how the spring shakes out. Broxton has speed and is a decent centerfielder, the brewers don't really have either right now. Liriano is a wildcard

    yeah maybe now it makes sense to let Santana start in triple A, have an OF of Braun, Davis, Liriano, Broxton, and then pick a 5th OF.

    well maybe they will designate the blue "BREWERS" jersey their road alternate too like they did before they added the MILWAUKEE blues.

    i do wish that if they would have introduced an alternative jersey they would have done more than take an existing uniform and hat and just change one of the colors on it. anyone here could have done it in photoshop.

    Agreed with the M with barley. By itself it is a classic. However, this is the only redeeming quality of the current brand. The jerseys with the awkward and inconsistent script placement, the Times Roman numeral font, the shimmery gold....all lack anything memorable and I for one will be glad when the current jerseys and logo have been fully relegated to Brewer history. You can incorporate old and new. Have the ball and glove logo in a circle with barely leaves on the bottom left end right of the circle.

    yeah the brewers clearly announce a new jersey each season to increase sales. I also don't think it will lead to a full rebranding, because if so, then the brewers would have done what the blue jays and astros did and just make a full time change to a modern retro look.

    The real question is will these make it on the show?? i doubt it, its probably too late, unless the brewers gave sony a heads up. The gold jersey never made it to the game.
