  1. I wouldn't mind choice here as a non roster invitee. He was highly regarded and if Lind is traded he would be in the mix. i wouldn't want to use a 40 man spot for him unless he could make the 25 man though.
  2. not earth shattering news from Ken Rosenthal's twitter Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal Lind could be next #Brewers player to go. “Lots of activity on him,” one source says. Appeals to AL clubs as DH; .883 OPS vs. RHPs in 2015
  3. look at the list of guys the brewers need to protect, there isn't 6 names there, I'm sure Sterns knows who he wants to protect and if there was 6 names he had to protect, he wouldn't have made this trade.
  4. #1 i think this means that Segura is gone. #2, i don't like giving up Sneed. I know he doesn't have a high ceiling, but pitched very well for the T-Rats.
  5. 20th according to mlb.com http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2015?list=mil
  6. any chance that Reigns vs Ambrose doesn't happen at Survivor Series http://www.sescoops.com/wwe-championship-tournament-brackets-revealed/
  7. i just hope he doesn't go all preller on the roster trying to put together a competitive roster right away instead of letting the process play out.
  8. Seth Rollins is out for 6-9 months and a new champ will be crowned at Survivor Series. I'll predict that this means that Reigns will get the belt. There aren't many wrestlers worthy of a title run right now on the active main roster.
  9. 80K is a very small piece of the pie when the debt is that high. i want to keep this apolitical. Its like bill gates dropping a nickel on ground. Is it a waste a tax payer money? maybe is it a big deal? i can't say it is.
  10. Nationals hired Mike Maddux to be their pitching coach, and made him the highest paid pitching coach in the league. Apparently this was decided when Bud Black was going to be the manager. So not only was Baker the 2nd choice, he had no say his one of his top coaches. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/nationals-journal/wp/2015/11/04/nationals-hire-mike-maddux-as-pitching-coach/
  11. they also get $ steam fit unions from to honor a vet of the game, not sure what the big deal is. I do wish that the brewers did it just because, but I don't think its a big deal.
  12. yeah they had no other option, very similar to Ramirez last season, can always unload in July if needed.
  13. Nationals are a complete joke; to offer a manager like Bud Black a 1 year deal is ridiculous, than to change it to a 2 year / 2 million dollar deal is insulting. you are then stuck with a manager like Baker. Seams like something the brewers would do 25 years ago, but its no way to act when you HAD the NL east favorite last season and most of the players returning next season.
  14. the game on tuesday is on NBA TV, i think there is a preseason game or 2 on FSN
  15. bucks unveiled the long rumored black uniforms with an alternative court, the nab's first. I still am not a huge fan but they are only wearing them for 4 games, so I am OK with it. love an idea of an alternative court though.
  16. he pitched well for a full season in triple A, he has nothing to prove in the minors I hope he gets to break camp in the rotation with the team.
  17. i just can't believe how different this franchise is from just 2 seasons ago with Larry Drew as your coach and Herb Kohl the owner.
  18. Bucks hired Rod Thorn as a consultant. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/239335/Bucks-Hire-Rod-Thorn-As-Special-Consultant Another quality individual coming into the organization.
  19. i hope so, i have tickets and would be a great way to end of season.
  20. I think the bigger part was that taxes weren't raised. It is nice that the bucks owners are chipping in but i think most people get most upset when they see an increase in their bottom line. The arena adding a surcharge to each ticket to help pay for it, as a user fee, is far less controversial than a sales tax increase.
  21. Bucks arena has cleared its final step, but it looks like the permanent closure of 4th street is still an open issue. Barrett to sign city financing this afternoon. http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/aldermen-approve-borrowing-for-the-new-arena-b99581782z1-328671581.html Great day for the city, I just can't believe how much less controversial this was as opposed to Miller Park. I understand that its completely different since Bucks ownership is pay for 1/2 of the arena and taxes aren't being raised, but I still expected a fight.
  22. viewtopic.php?f=64&t=32999 thanks, wouldn't it make sense to bring up Arcia than over Rivera?
  23. well he did say that he was very involved in the gomez trade, which the early returns is not good for Houston. Gomez has not done great since he's been here, and now is hurt. Fiers has done really well. I'm pleasantly surprised at that. I'll agree with that assessment, but my point is that the return that the brewers got is huge. Santana already looks like an everyday major league outfielder and he wasn't even the key member of the deal. Houser and Hader both pitched well in double A and could be rotation members is the future.
  24. doesn't Arcia have to be added to the 40 before the rule v draft? I thought i read that. if so, i'm surprised that he wasn't called up.
