  1. Agree. If we're looking to replace the washed up AAA pitchers, no need to replace the with more washed up AAA pitchers. Thornburg is plenty ready to move up. i agree, the main point for the minors is to develop players not give journeyman players a chance to hang on. Its fine for roster filler, but it would be nice to see how far along Tyler is instead of seeing Vargas do. I am assuming if I lived in Nashville id rather see a young 20 something top prospect than a pitcher in his mid 30's.
  2. i hope this does mean a promotion for Peralta. Chulk has done nothing more than show me he is a mop up man. Estrada as a long reliever showed he can also pitch in short relief is needed. It would stabilize the pen that it hasn't been since Narveson went down.
  3. really don't make much sense. the brewers team batting average is 13 points lower than the angels and i don't think its even close to time for a change. he was there for 11 seasons and had great success. definitely would appear that albert had something to do with this. i doubt the manager wanted to make this change.
  4. they could have just as easily done it in the evening so it makes the 10pm news. that way more people would have the possibility of participating. I think that time was chosen to ensure that not many people would participate (less people turned away empty handed) but they will still get the publicity that they wanted.
  5. i think that scenario is so obvious and is now being reported as a possible one on the blogs, that it won't happen.
  6. yeah i thought they same thing when they said no wwe superstar can interfere. there is no way johnny ace is going to loose the match, he is their top heel right now.
  7. not sure if there is a better way to do it but a large majority of people are not up or are working 3rd shirt at 5am. Keeping a lid on it until this morning kept alot of the shenanigans out, but more than 95% of brewer fans found out about this when they woke up got home from work or got to work and and they were long gone by then.
  8. http://onmilwaukee.com/myOMC/authors/jimowczarski/whereschorizo.html seems like the brewers are taking another shot after last years where's bernie debacle, hopefully the kinks are ironed out this year.
  9. In a perfect world, an arena on the lake gets built. The lakefront is very underutilized in Milwaukee. The cell and BC can get bulldozed and a new hotel built in the space. Milwaukee built a large convention center and gets no conventions because of the lack of hotel space.
  10. yeah well deserved. Also gives RR some insurance if this season continues on the current path that he doesn't have to manage for his job. Its very rare in these days that a team would keep the same GM for 13 seasons if Melvin finishes this deal, a very good testament to what he has done to this franchise.
  11. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/05/nationals-sign-mike-gonzalez.html would have liked the brewers to have taken a look at him. i know they are happy with parra but with Braddocks release he would have atleast have been insurance. Right now our only possible lefty in the minors in Meadows.
  12. had such promise, i wish him nothing but the best as he deals with his issues. maybe some time away from baseball would be best for him.
  13. if this was true he would have been called up for friday. i think option 1 is move hart, #2 is sign derrek lee.
  14. at this point does it hurt to bring in Derek Lee. Even if for a tryout at Nashville for a few days. I was against it this winter because it would take away at bats from Mat, but we are past that point now.
  15. he has said he doesn't want to go there, its best for the team though.
  16. i agree, this offense has been anemic so far, putting ishikawa and conrad in a platoon is not going to help. Getting Aoki regular playing time, moving Hart to 1st and letting morgan and gogo platoon is the best option as of now.
  17. stage looks good, with ben folds, avett brothers and david gray. guess you need to start getting free passes in May to guarantee seats to these shows.
  18. i agree, go to kohls if you are looking for a cheap suit. if you go to mens warehouse you will easily spend 500. at kohls you can get a nice one for 100.
  19. maybe but then aoki would be playing against a lefty who he has only 5 abs this season against (1 hit)
  20. i believe i can watch it on my phone, but as a time warner customer i don't get that station. grrrrr
  21. yeah if it wasn't for the postgame show i wouldn't even have the station on my dial. i used to love listening to 1250's nfl drarft coverage but don't know what is worst, listening to the big unit for 5 hrs or mel kiper.
  22. gosh, their pd has lost his mind. nothing but local sports for 13 straight. what the heck can you talk about.
  23. i believe the other affiliates broadcast him later, but i'm not 100% sure.
  24. you have to pay to get the mlb audio. you cannot listen to live sporting events on say wtmj's website. not sure how much the audio package would be. also if you live within a certain distance of milwaukee, you couldn't listen to the mlb.com audio for the brewers i believe. I know thats how the extra innings on tv worked.
  25. i listen to Rome on madison's affiliate every day on iheartradio. So a tape delay wouldn't help me. I would love for Rome to somehow shop up over the air in Milwaukee, but i realize that the big unit isn't going away anytime soon.
