  1. looking forward to having some poutine the 2nd game of the season which is my traditional opening day!
  2. the bucks run enough deals where you can go to a professional game relatively cheap. i don' see how this fits any need. In addition there are 2 college basketball teams in this city that are affordable and the quality of basketball is probably better.
  3. GAME05, that was my prediction for the last 2 weeks as well.
  4. archer is always awesome.
  5. really enjoyed the last two episodes before last night. Really no funny moments, didn't really find any of the captions funny. I know they are setting up Micheal's farewell though. Also the jedi-mind tricks between Mickeal and Holly were a reach.
  6. love it, but that darn song will be in my head all night long.
  7. ince they have an off day on the Friday following the opener, I wonder if they will skip the 5th starter, meaning Grienke would start the 2nd game of the first home series. This would also make some sense for the Brewers since the 2nd game of the opening series is generally not well attended. we had our season ticket draft yesterday and i scooped up april 5th, which should be greinke's home debut, assuming no rainout in cincy. i would think the team would like narverson in the pen for the first few games while starters get used to the cold water and continue to stretch out their arms.
  8. i went the first year and probably won't go again unless changes are made. I would like to see it as a 2 day event, splittling players evenly out. This would really decrease the congestion. When 11000 people are downtown for a event, it makes street parking a bear. The other problem being that since i stopped trying to get autographs when i graduated grade school, there isn't that much to do. The game shows and q&a's are fun though. I enjoyed the picture booths with the players, but it really isn't worth waiting 3 hrs before the doors open to get inline to get in and then waiting. When you factor in the time waiting in line, the cost of admission and the cost of the autograph, i'm going to assume that the big name brewer players will do an autograph session at some point during the summer much cheaper and way more conveniently.
  9. i thought the last 2 episodes may have been the funniest of the season.
  10. i went the first year (the winter after we went to the playoffs) and while it wasn't a bad time, I skipped out last year and won't be going this year. It was nice when it was free at Miller Park. Just not sure if its worth the 10 or 15 bucks to get it, having to find a parking spot, waiting for the place to open. There was a nice rummage sale that i got a few deals on. I got my picture taken with a few brewers. The autograph lines are long and you have to pay.
  11. Axford is the only confirmed account.
  12. i am not confortable with boggs as the 5th outfielder. maybe schafer will figure in the deal although i do not like prospects rotting on the bench in the bigs instead of playing in nashville.
  13. right now i'm reading fargo rock city by chuck klosterman, i really like his stuff.
  14. I think that's why the team is loading up on some reclamation projects for the outfield, such as Brandon Boggs right now i see him as the 5th OF since there are no better options, but i agree with your assessment of our offensive players in the minors. also thanks for linking the scouting report. i forgot he was a 2010 draftee.
  15. also patrick, i see yudiel rivera as the 2014 prospect i don't see him on the power50 nor haven't heard of him, what do you know of him?
  16. sorry colby I misread it. I agree that the minors are there to make the majors better. I do see talent there but the offensive talent is in A which isn't going to help us in 2011. I am afraid that there isn't the prospects or money to help in if there is a significant offensive injury in 2011. knock on wood.
  17. Again, I disagree with the notion that the Brewers are lacking talent in the upper levels of the system. patrick I believe they have talent, I was just stating that they have lost some top talent and their overall top talent has been weakened. I think Rodgers can be a player and I like Scarpetta and Heckathorn. I think the brewers biggest issue will be if position players go down this summer, there isn't much talent that can come in and contribute at this point. Besides Gamel and Rivera there is noone with more than a handful of major league at bats and Gamel has struggled when given limited time in the majors
  18. hey got to be happy to have him in the division.
  19. http://www.baseballameric...spects/2011/2611130.html baseball america lists the top 10 prospects
  20. there is a poll on mlbtraderumors.com on which team got the better prospects in return and the rays are currently up about 60-30%. Maybe its cubs fans stacking the results and I will admit I know little about what the cubs gave up. but I am still shocked at the difference.
  21. nsbb seems alot like brewerfan.net the day of the Greinke trade. They are not happy about giving up Archer and overall think they gave up too much. Pitchers are expensive, which is why i supported the Greinke trade.
  22. Christ, just want to say how much i admired you battled back to make it back to the big leagues after 2 injury riddled seasons. wishing you the best in 2010. hopefully you start a game at miller park in 2011. if so, i'm there!
  23. he wore 40 in atlanta which is available i believe.
  24. thinking it over more, the 12 man rotation makes sense, especially with the couple off days in april. its probably accurate to say unless parra gets traded in the near future cappy will not be back.
