  1. Do you know if they tour with Neko Case and Dan Bejar? I am seeing them in a week at Lollapalooza and hope its not just Newman. I know they will be at the Madison show so i'm assuming they will be at lollapalooza. i wouldn't be going if they weren't.
  2. the brewers technically could move him without having to put him on waivers. that being said i don't think anyone is going to want to pick up the 3 remaining years on his contract after how he has performed this year.
  3. going to see the new pornographers next month in madison. looking forward to seeing lcd soundsystem at the rave in october. other than that not much in the pipeline. i wish i had the time to go to as many concerts as i did in college.
  4. the bucks have been trying to get me to sign up for a season ticket plan for a while and i haven't. Until tickets become hard to get I will take advantage of the tv deals and all of the specials the bucks put on their website. There were games last year that we got a 28 dollar ticket and a bucks jersey for 20 bucks.
  5. molitor fan, the nets were 12-70, so they were only 12-51 with him. I like the signing as he was the best free agent point guard remaining. I still think there is one trade Hammond has up his sleeves as there are 16 guaranteed contracts on the team.
  6. Is the Mark Belling podcast just portions of his radio show or the entire thing? usually there are 6 segments per day that you can download which comprises the entire show.
  7. sound opinions from npr in chicago (www.soundopinions.org) pretty much amazing podcast (www.prettymuchamazing.com) muzzle of bees/wmse podcast (www.muzzleofbees.com) thats about it, i really don't do any sports related podcasts as i get enough sports talk / information just from my daily radio listening routines
  8. any chance the giants would move jonathon sanchez straight up for hart?
  9. probably a good idea that thread was getting long and i think was used for 2 seasons.
  10. i think 3 is fine, i just haven't seen that reported by someone credible. 5 is horrible though.
  11. i think sanders is a theo ratliff type of player, and if that is right then its a good pick. that being said i still wish they would have taken james anderson based on who was left.
  12. it depends on what you are looking for. mo's pub downtown has brewer drink specials based on what the brewers first hit in any inning is. it makes watching the game just a little more fun...
  13. i saw doug jones strike out 3 royals on 9 pitches, in game one of a doubleheader at county stadium. That is the rarest thing i have seen that hasn't been mentioned so far.
  14. i am starting to become informed of draft prospects and here is what I'm thinking the bucks should do at at 15: if udoh is available I'd take him. He is your 4 of the future and could add a defensive presence inside that the bucks lack. If he is gone I'd take Xavier Henry. The bucks also need perimeter scoring and he could step in at sg if Salmons is not resigned. Another intriguing prospect would be whiteside but that would definitely be a high risk, high reward pick. at 37, if the bucks go big I'd go with jordan crawford or stanley robinson. If they don't maybe they will look at tiny gallon or craig brackens. At 47, i know its a complete homer pick but I'd take Lazar Hayward. I've watched him for 4 years and while he doesn't do anything great, he is a basketball player and definitely is a player that Skiles would like to coach. That being said I could see the bucks packaging one or both 2nd rounders to move up and get an impact player. The problem with that is that after 3 or 4 I don't see much of a dropoff between pick 5 and 15.
  15. thanks patrick for all the info as always, my hope is for a collge arm, therefore wimmers, mcquire, or ranuado.
  16. im hoping a position player comes up on the roster, maybe locain?
  17. Still a roster move to come with Edmonds, isn't there? At this point, that will almost have to be Suppan, won't it? I suppose Coffey could go on the DL, but that doesn't sound too likely no that move was stern going down.
  18. I really hope they don't send Estrada back down. I like what we've seen from him so far. i have been impressed too. I just don't see them sending down braddock or axford. I could possibly see parra though. Estrada hasn't done anything to deserve the demotion I will admit. on a side note, hopefully these moves would allow the brewers to have a full bench so bush doesn't have to pinch run and gallardo doesn't have to pinch hit.
  19. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/94926489.html latest from haurdicourt. a decision needs to be made on capuano by saturday which we knew but loe on the 5th. personally i'd bring both of them up. DFA Vargas and while I would like them to DFA soup I know thats not going to happen and my guess is Estrada would be the most likely one to go. To make room on the 40 man luis cruz could easily be removed for one of the 2.
  20. well if davis doesn't get back soon, cappy is going to have to be in our rotation, we cannot have estrada and parra only pitching 4 run innings. Having a healty capuano on the team would probably allow us to get an extra bench player as the brewers would not have to piggy back starters like they had to last week.
  21. my guess is based on macha's use of the pitching staff is that gomez will replace stern and zach will replace vargas. If Axford was on the chopping block i'm pretty sure he saved himself tonight. I'm making it to the game on Saturday, it would be awesome to see his major league debut.
  22. I know the brewers are selling retro jersey's this season in the clubhouse shop for the 3 retro uniforms they are wearing on the retro weekends, not sure about the hats though.
  23. I think giving Parra a chance to earn a spot is a solid decision. For those clambering for Capuano, he only made 1 start in Nashville. If Manny struggles and Capuano has another solid start, than you may look at it. Estrada and Loe, while they are pitching well in Nashville, has not doing anything in a major league stint to lead me to believe they are not anything more than Mike Burns or Chris Smith from last year.
  24. well since macha is not under contract, obviously if the brewers are not in the pennant race in september he won't be back. Not sure about Prince, depends on if they can make progress on a contract extension. I agree that if they are out of it and there is a good offer on the table he is probably gone. The brewers could wait though until the offseason. I'm not going to freak out until Memorial day though.
  25. warning track power, i have been hoping for jersey's like the ones you designed since 01. I think the road alternates are a good start, but I'm hoping they have jerseys like the ones you drew up soon.
