    Just like last year I expected some under slot pick. Will make things interesting at 15 if the brewers want to take a big swing.

    I've never been able to actually determine if the 'not within the division' stuff is actually true or just the feeling of us fans. Unless i missed one, the last time the brewers made a trade with the Cubs was 16 years ago (Johnson for Ezi) and the Cards 18 years ago (DeJean for 2 PTBNL) I know the brewers and Pirates have made a few. I went all the way back to the beginning of the Melvin era and I see nothing between the brewers and reds. So i think its more than just a feeling, if you go back and see whom the brewers typically trade with.

    seems like an obsession at this point. Again these writers / bloggers are not GM's and have no idea what is in the brewers draft brass' head. RELAX

    I would imagine the cubs would want the brewers to overpay to participate in this. Also a Cubs fire-sale is not great news. It would be better if they were kind of in it, so that they hold steady rather then replenish their farm system.

    I agree also. I think this is my top guy that could go around the middle of the 1st. WIsh they could get a college corner IF, but that guy doesn't exist on day 1. Also why i have been pushing Binelas as a early Monday guy.

    The suns made 11 more 3's and won by 10. They shot 50% from 3, bucks 29%. Bucks were able to do pretty much what the wanted in the paint, but the suns defend the paint much better than the hawks or any team they saw in the East. I think they need to give Portis more minutes and continue to try to work inside rather than continue to pop and miss 3's. Its very frustrating to watch them settle for a quick 3 and miss it time and time again. Losing DDV is overlocked and not discussed at all. Forbes and Connaughton haven't been able to make anything behind the arc.

    last offseason the only justification to keep Wojo around was to not blowup the roster. This happens to every roster when there is a coaching change. I mean look how many recruits followed Smart to Marquette rather than playing for Beard. Lets face it, players come to play for a coach and not a program these days.

    you are right but Gatewood was drafted in 14 and Erceg in 16. Brewers have been obsessed with up the middle players and power arms and have let corner IF slide.

    I really hope that the brewers get a corner IF early in the draft. Im not normally a big position guy in the MLB draft but the only way to stop having to get guys like Tellez or signing big $ FA's is to develop your own and they have shown no interest in doing that since Prince

    Also do not recall Hiura being mocked to the brewers. I remember being shocked when he was the pick, if he was mocked all over the place, I would not have been. The brewers, like any other Front office says nothing. Minus, going to the RTBN for lunch and catching a private workout during lunch by change, there is no way to know whom the brewers are interested in.

    they did give up a lot. Richards straight up would have been a lot, but they gave up their best triple A starter too. he better work out. Obviously we don't know the price of other options and whom is actually available, so while in a vacuum this trade is hard to understand, but it was probably the best they could do, with all of MLB knowing they needed a 1st baseman.

    we saw in game 6 how Trae was a liability most of the time he was out there. If he plays, bucks better be sure he can help.

    Was thinking to myself this AM, its been very quiet on the Dawson Garcia front. Did some research and it looks like he is down to North Carolina, Arizona, Illinois and Marquette. I'm thinking there is a very good chance Marquette loses him, which would really be unfortunate for the program.

    Starting to see a couple of places the brewers being linked to Will Bednar. Really don't like late risers like him. Seems to never go well. Never saw him pitch but from what I read he does sound impressive. Does someone that follow this more closely than me have any opinions on him?

    He is batting 196 for the Indy Indians. I get they gave up Nothing for him but I don’t see how he helps, unless they just needed a utility guy in Nashville. Which is fine
