since the are not a brewers affiliate, really don't care. I think its dumb, but its minor league baseball so it comes with the terriroty. I am just glad for the most part the brewers affiliate names are pretty normal.

last night i got to watch them for the first time. some observations besides the obvious that they have to work on their free throws. Kuath seems to be an improvement over John who he was the obvious replacement for. Morsell is also a massive improvement over the Carton / Torrence PG tandem that they through out their last year. Kolek while struggling with this 3's,made them at the end when it mattered and that steal to score the winner was at clutch as you are ever going to see. Having not watched their first 2 games, but seeing close games against 2 teams they should beat handily, this team will clearly be fun to watch and seem to play similar to Smart's VCU teams.

the return on managers and front office staff is never significant.

they say if you have 2 quarterbacks, you have none. Is that the same for hitting coaches?

if he is making a trade with the Mets, I'd be uncomfortable with that. That being sad nobody knows what he is thinking. It is smart to play it close to the vest. It would force brewers ownership to offer a large contract extension to not lose him. If he makes it clear he wants to stay here, why would Mark A do that?

Those fans who think the Brewers will reload their farm system by trading Stearns to the Mets for his final season under contract will be sadly disappointed. There is no precedence of getting useable prospects for an executive. Red Sox got Chris Carpenter (not that one) and Aaron Kurez for Epstein.

yeah you can go the buyout route, but that wont' help you until February / March.

Not sure what they have at this point to trade. They can't trade their 1st this year. All other tradeable picks for the foreseeable future have been sent away in the Holiday trade and the ones that aren't can't be traded and are swaps. DDV and Nwora are the 2 pieces that could be moved but both are restricted next season, so their trade value is limited.

I'll be curious to see if Kirk Cousins and Carson Wentz do their post game pressers via zoom this week. there was a thread of lost of draft picks or lowered draft position for future violations, so I am sure they will be on their best behavior for the rest of the season. I am actually surprised the NFL was so easy on the packers.

Allen did have a great game last night. Its hard to judge them. Last night they really had no bigs besides Giannis and was eaten alive by Drummond. Once you get your starters back, you can truly judge this team. Last year proved it, it really doesn't matter your seed in the spring anyway once the playoffs start.

its too bad that Microsoft has stopped supporting MS office on chromebooks just 2 months ago and now pushing an online experience for office, so there is no difference than using google docs, which is included. https://techcrunch.com/2021/08/27/microsoft-is-discontinuing-its-office-apps-for-chromebook-users-in-favor-of-web-versions/

i don't know what the heck is going on in Vegas, but they have now released both of their 1st round picks from 2020 in less than a week: https://dailysnark.com/2021/11/08/breaking-raiders-cut-2020-first-round-pick-damon-arnette-after-gun-flaunting-video/?fbclid=IwAR3TCSdpN4Qqf1HFwKduZztYv7K5Voa8ovoNsy9e9a5Kl0it1tiT-HuZjSU

I did find a early black friday deal on a chromebook that I went for. It was a lenovo that was 379 full price that i got for 149. I understand the small hard drive is less than Ideal but if its to surf the web and do minimal word processing, i think this will cover it

Lost in the shuffle is that the brewers are going to hire a radio announcer to replace Levering. This is good news. I hope its a color guy. Grindle and Levering are fine but they both are play by play guys. I just didn't think it worked when they are together. you are grooming Levering to replace BA and now you can hire a guy to eventually replace Uecker.

At least the mariners minor league systems are one of the tops in baseball.

The bucks just had a massive turnover on their broadcast team, i think this is the beginning of the same for the brewers. Not sure how much longer Rock and Ueck will be doing it. BA is not even half time anymore. We are fortunate to have great broadcasters who have been here forever. Thats not the case for every team.

didn't he just sign an extension during the season. I would imagine this is what they had to do to retain him.

He is my top fa target based on position and body of work. If they get him I’m ok with the off-season

Thank you this is the type of advice I was looking for and knew I could count on. I have a nice work laptop that bring home and have a tablet for personal use too. I wanted to get something of her own. I know she would be mad if I spent a lot on one and I know she doesn’t need anything fancy

thanks the external hard drive is a good idea that I did not consider. I did think about a google drive subscription that isn't that expensive to house a couple word documents

want to get my wife an entry level laptop for Christmas. She would just use it to surf the web and some word processing. Am thinking of getting a chromebook but was wondering if others have had good experiences with them. or if they could recommend a windows laptop about 300 or so?

keep him at 3rd, let Urias be the super utility guy and then let Rowdy play at 1st. It worked OK last season.
  24. patrickgpe
I have advocated in other threads that he would be my top target, only because of his position rather than Garcia. Yes he did struggle while he was here, but he has enough of a body of work to believe he will turn it around. Sometimes fans don't realize its hard to change organizations in July, leave your family behind in some cases, etc.

profiles as a minor league signing to me rather than a 40 man roster guy also wouldn't it be Brewers get Gott?
